- This review was kind of like a test in a way, just so I could get a feel for how reviews are made. So next month, I'll be redoing this review, going more in depth, stating whats good and bad, talk more about the characters, all that good stuff! So watch out for the REAL Dinotopia review, coming in late March!

I'm from Germany and nobody here knows Dinotopia. I watched it often as a kid because we had it on a videotape and it had a really great translation and voice actors in german. I loved it so much!! It is so unique and yet so underrated! And now many years later I found it online on DVD and ordered it immediately. It will always be a part of my childhood and I will also watch it now from time to time :)

Same here! My mother and I used to watch it every year around christmas when I was young because I just couldn't get enough of it! It was so imaginative and creative and new! I adore it to this day.
Yeah I love it too, I saw it back then on super RTL as a kid.

I watched it on Splash TV back in India. But yeah we did have the hallmark channel back in India. But I never got to see this movie telecasted on Hallmark. Later when I came to the US I was reminisced of the movie.

Have you seen the Dinotopia 'series'? Disney decided they wanted in, so they created a horrible 6-7 (I can't remember, it might've been 9!) episode series, basically replacing all the original actors, but using the same music, and pretty bad effects (and storyline, for that matter)...
I love, LOVE Dinotopia; it will always be one of my all-time favourite films. :)

I remember that movie like it was yesterday and it's still one of my favorite child well movie or TV show whatever it is it's still entertaining by the way the series began in 2002 and aired in 2006 just like the original teen Titans did
I wished that they would put the books on Kindle so people can read it.
This is a movie? I thought it was a TV series?
They used the sets and had a single season series that was led by a different cast.

Well back then in the mid 1990’s Ted Turner should make there own Dinosaur 🦖 movie 🎥 from the 1990's on TNT a Fantasy Adventure Film 🎞 made for a Tv 📺 Movie 🎥 called Dinotopia (1995) A film by Stuart Gordon (the guy who made Re-Animator From Beyond Dolls Robot Jox Daughter of Darkness The Pit and the Pendulum & Fortress) Now Dinotopia but it will be from TNT (Turner Network Television) and Jim Henson production but it needs the special effects crew like brian henson randall william cook Garry Elmendorf puppet tears by The Chiodo Brother's and some cast choice like Omri Katz as Karl Kelly Packard as Melissa Ethan Hawke as David Carla Gugino as Marion John Hurt as the voice of Zipeau (The Talking Dinosaur) and John lone as Ken (the evil villain) Now Dinotopia the Tv 📺 Movie from Turner Network Television and Jim Henson Production a TNT’s Original motion picture Dinotopia will be premier on Saturday July 1st at 8:00 🕗 pm eastern only on TNT (before ABC made Dinotopia a 3 part mini series!)

It might be wise to remember that the various actors are playing parts determined by the writers and directors. Thus having the main female character as a 'whiny little b----' just means that once again the writers and director are afraid of strong capable women. They are the whiny little bastards who can't cope with realistic women characters. Sadly it just means that it is acceptable for men and boys to demean women so they feel safe. I would hate to be such a punk.
