I watch many of the sawmill channels, but you are the most efficient sawyer by far. Your "unfair advantages" are good logs, the debarker, the edger saws, the top saw, and the bottom log turner on the carriage.
@@Helmsburgsawmill And I neglected to mention your other unfair advantages -- your intelligence, experience, hands-on ability, and desire to do everything right.
And good ole boys they are!! Thank you for swinging by!! I have a lot of videos platforms differently, with different information, for you to check out
New to the channel came over from C&C equipment to check you out have you ever had Logger Wade on your video great to see the small guy operation great content very soothing watching lumber being cut
Thank you for checking it out!! Always feel free to leave comments. I voice over in come to give the finer details of what’s occurring while sawing. Some are long form ASMR videos. Some logging. And then a large spread of other items! This is a lot of what’s in the channel
Maximum width!! I eyeball the shape of the log. I’m thinking about the board width before I make the next pass!! And I try to have the edgers moving in the direction as soon I’m drawing the carriage back
When we saw ash it gums up the saw real bad like hickory. So we will cut 2 or 3 poplar every 30 Logs or so. Give it a try. It will help especially if you gotta file the saw
Good videos c&c sent me over
C&C sent me! Nice saw!

This is what my grandpa had installed! Quite frankly I couldn’t imagine handling the timber in my area with anything less equipped!
And I greatly appreciate your compliment!:)

Great looking logs and lumber make for easy sawing decisions!
That’s right!! Ash typically saws out well too!! In some of the other rougher looking logs. Some of the grade improved as I went in
C&C sent us to your channel as well!
Sweet. Nothing but nice round ash....logs. 😂😂Amazing clear boards. Great video.

It will be back some day!

Nice ash like that is great for canoe stock? Have you cut any canoe stock for anyone in the past. There can be no knots
It’s had been a while but yes!!
@ if I remember right we use 17 ft logs but they need to be completely clear which is tough sometimes lol
Cool tour on C&C’s Patreon tonight

Clint says hi!
What's your strategy for setting the edging saws? Maximum rectangle width, maximum length, or maximum area?
Maximum width!! I eyeball the shape of the log. I’m thinking about the board width before I make the next pass!! And I try to have the edgers moving in the direction as soon I’m drawing the carriage back
Very good sawing. I like the efficiency of built in edgers. But what's the deepest you can cut with the edgers set up this way.

It would be sweet if one day the channel could pay for a 360 camera in line with the vertical blades.
Placed where? I'm trying to envision your goal, but am at a loss.
Do you sell retail from there?
Yes we sell to the public!!
When we saw ash it gums up the saw real bad like hickory. So we will cut 2 or 3 poplar every 30

I don't see the old loader in the yard.
They don't make popsicle sticks from ash because people don't like the taste of it.
I noticed that 75% to 80% of the boards have a little edge wayne. Doesn't your customers complain about that.
No. I’m going for maximum yield. All of these boards will be getting planed down and finished out!! They want wane if it means wider boards
Sounds like you have one more teeth out of alignment. I can hear it when you’re sawing.
