We ended up exchanging this model for the slimmer version ruclips.net/user/postUgkx0jZ_lGlDVJhDnmagEU8gn47cmfPNlLQU because it was too wide for the only door trim area that made sense to mount it on. However, we should have just noted the dimensions prior to purchasing. Otherwise, we love the doorbell. It works perfectly, and the video is very clear, even at night.
Hmmm! Nice review but it would be nice to get a bit more information on video quality. For example, could you read a vehicle registration plate and at what distance.
Also, what’s the battery life like?
aaand no information on battery life, when putting in a fully charged battery how long does it last usually before having to charge?
Also, prices are significantly higher for the cloud security features. Without the subscription you do not get smart notifications.

Can they be wired for constant power instead of having to remove them to be recharged? I have my AP2s wired for constant power--using Arlo's wire accessory.
I recently set up the Arlo Pro 4 and found it pretty good; I'm not sure how it compares to the ultra 2.
resolution,,,, pro 4 is 2k.... ultra 2 is 4k,,,,,,,but you have to be on subscription for that,,, on both

Dalle recensione sembrava il top di gamma. Ora dopo due anni di utilizzo vi spiego com'è andata.
Telecamere molto costose che funzionano a batteria. Autonomia dichiarata sei mesi. Autonomia reale con utilizzo normale una settimana.
Qualità del video dichiarata 4k. Autonomia reale boh...immagini sgranate. Senza zoom non si vedono le facce. Se fai zoom (tantissimo zoom NON ottico) le immagini sono super sgranate e quindi non si riconosce una faccia.
Ho dovuto quindi ALIMENTARE tutte e tre le mie telecamere con cavi e alimentatori in continuazione. Per non doverle ricaricare ogni settimana. Con questo lavoro avrei potuto portare direttamente un cavo lan per alimentare una telecamere via cavo senza batteria.

Dopo aver speso 1000 euro per 3 telecamere, hub e varie eventuali si scopre che bisogna fare un abbonamento. Ahi...allora faccio l'abbonamento più economico...e scopro che NON supporta la risoluzione pseudo 4k. Quindi le immagini sono ancora più sgranate e incomprensibili. Allora provo l'abbonamento da 18 euro mese (216 euro anno) e la qualità finalmente migliore un poco. Però io non sono disposto ad aver già speso 1000 euro e spenderne altri mille ogni 4 anni... E chissà che non lazino i prezzi!!!

Hi, if you buy the cameras separately outside of this bundle, you will also have to purchase the anti-theft mounts separately.
i lost the key for the camera idk what else to use to take it off
Just unscrew the camera. The locking screw only holds the base, not the camera.

the anti theft mount is not good anyone can unscrew the base just like you installed it and take the hole camera.

your still just screwing it down, the screw on base is what needs a locking screw.
In my experience I really don't recommend buying this battery operated cameras system battery doesn't last Arlo claims the battery last 3-6 months if you use all the features this cameras offer you'll be replacing batteries every week like me what's the benefit of having a battery operated camera zero!!
Agreed. Thankfully you can hardwire it to power using a magnetic cable or some adapter. Search on their website.
Arlo is not a good security camera PERIOD...i wish i can return mine but im past the return window. I would not recommend this camera to anyone this camera has a ton of issues...
1) zones dont ever work properly
2) updates will mess up your cameras and you have to go through the process of resetting everything and re-syncing them REALLY TIME CONSUMING like 12-24 hours for the stupid thing to find itself
3) newer models does not record to your base station even with an SD card you NEED a subscription
5) does not record continuously even with someone in frame for 10 minutes it will record only the 1st 20 seconds
5) does not detect people on your property until theyre like 4 feet from the camera
YOU CAN NOT PROTECT YOUR HOME IF THE CAMERA ONLY RECORDS THE 1ST 20 SECONDS OF A BURGLARY OR ONLY WHEN THE BURGLER IS 4 FT FROM THE CAMERA
THIS CAMERA IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST PURCHASE IVE EVER MADE
Save yourself the headache DO NOT BUY this camera
