One of the MOST viewed railroad crossing videos on youtube! This is a sequel to my original railroad crossings video. Included is extra footage of a UP unit leading the Coast Starlight, along with two Amtrak units in numerical order. Portland and Beaverton, OR.
If you enjoy my videos, feel free to like, comment, and share! Thanks for watching!
Thank you very much for watching, hope you all enjoyed the video!
prrt1steamlocomotivetrust.org/ - Please help fund the T-1 Trust! They are a wonderful organization, building an advanced new 4-4-4-4 T-1 steam locomotive from scratch!
To this day I’m surprised how this got super popular.

Oh man, the first crossing, beautiful! Large crossing, huge gate, many lights and that mechanical bell over the electric, AWESOME, great catch
The first crossing is my favourite because of it on an intersection. G'day from Australia.🇦🇺
This is so nostalgic I remember watching this when I was like 5 time flies!
I live nearby - the glimpse of the train at :24 is the WES train (Wilsonville Express Service) approaching the Beaverton Transit Center - part of the Tri-Met MAX transportation system in Portland, OR. As a senior, I can ride anywhere on the system for $1.25 for a 2 1/2 hr period. I used the MAX train to go to the airport (PDX) once..then just $1 - took me right to the terminal - and no parking fees. Great system.
That is an interesting design of the second one, I have never seen one like that before! Thanks for sharing!
When I found these crossings in Portland and Beaverton on Google Earth, I started to cry because I just couldn’t believe it!
I never saw a UP locomotive pull an Amtrak train before. Cool!
Very cool indeed
Yep
That folding gate is cool, I kept thinking it was going to hit the ground!
Childhood memories
I really love the horn on the train
The first railroad crossing in this video is my favorite because it has so many lights pretty isn't it
Like a Christmas tree!
@@valerieteti1755 so pretty isn't it?
@train derailer how pathetic I don't see why
@@valerieteti1755 yes
It’s cool, but useless. No need for all those lights.
Nostalgia...
I love that they use Western Cullen Hayes "THEY KNOW WHAT THERE DOING!"
I love how Union Pacific7756 is pulling Amtrak cool
Yep will I love the horn
I was looking for this video for a week and i finally found it
Pretty cool seeing the Amtrak with Light Rail in the background. Good collection!
really awesome video that I watched nearly 8 years ago. ❤😊🎉😅
i never get tired of that horn
I LOVE the foldable gates!
So do I
Yeah, Those Hinge Gates Are AMAZING!
Me too
when i was six years old i loved this video now im 13 and still love it to this day
@Colt Connor Productions Agreed! I’m 11 now and I still enjoy this video.
Jesse Darwich I’m about to turn 16 and still love it
I'm 16 and I first watched this when I was 7!
That bendy barrier looks cool, never seen anything like it before.
Hinged gate is my fav!
Very cool I love trains and amtrak
Nice catch with coast starlight- UP ES44AC leading with sister P42DC locomotives!!! (72 and 73)
0:00:40 This railroad crossing, one with the hinged gate that you shot of was located on the Northwest Naito Parkway, right?
Yep it is! (I checked on Google maps btw)
I love hearing mechanical bells at crossings still, but I really wish railroads would silence them once the gates have fully descended.. Great video!
Some railroad crossings do silence them after the gates are fully down.
If you get a chance, I'd love to see more angles of that first crossing in that intersection. Where was it at? I'd like to tour it with Google Street View. Great video.
11 Year old comment! Wonder where this was filmed.
The crossing was in downtown Beaverton, OR. SW Farmington and SW lombard. I would love to see you make a video on it!
Finally found this video again, this video was the first video I've ever seen Union Pacific with Amtrak
that railroad gate at 0:38 is pretty cool
That's called a hinged gate.
Memories
I wonder where this was filmed so cool crossings.
Wow look at all those lights..... Even in Pearl River NY We have some cool crossings.....
Sad that at 0:01, they recently replaced that Safetran Cantilever with a newer cantilever most likely from Lincoln Industries with a GS Type 2 E-Bell on the Cantilever AND on the gate mast.
Wow a swing gate. Cool!
Its called hinged gates
0:47 What a fast bell, huh???
this is why portland is awesome
This is crazy level crossing
oh wow... wow... that last train though
Childhood times!
Jingle bells, Jingle bells, Jingle all the-- Oh wait, wait a sec...I thought is was a little early for Christmas, darn...
the second crossing shown is at 642 naito parkway portland or
My favorite Railroad
crossing was the second
What location was it
It’s cool that the strobes flash at sync
I once saw an Amtrak train being pulled by a Southern Pacific locomotive. And I also think I saw a Santa Fe locomotive pulling one.
That's Union Pacific Not Southern Pacific Or Santa Fe
👌Fantastic Video 👌
Greetings from Switzerland
That was about as exciting as watching Jello set.
This Is A State Where I Live!
My Favorite Part 1:01
Your the best, I like this video sooo much
That first crossing had a ton of lights!
I know right? it looks so beautiful
The second crossing gates were wierd
It’s because that signal’s gate was hinged.
I grew up on this video
Same here
for minute at the :40 mark, it looked like the gate was broken, but i see it's one of those retractable gates.
Great shots !
Cool video, thanks for sharing
1:01 Union Pacific Leading Coast Starlight Amtrak!!!!!!!
Man I remember watching this video when I was like 7
Same
I love traffic lights!
What some wunderful crossings, thank you!
;)
That is one great video you got there, 884Steamtrain! Nice work!
Union Pacific and Amtrak teamwork ftw!
Awesome K5HL 1:04
I love the K5HLL horn at 1:04
Awesome Union Pacific/Amtrak lashup!
FTW! Like That Horn!
0:33 -- LOL, that SUV almost pulled out in the middle of the intersection forgetting there is still a red light there. :-)
0:33*
I like the railroad crossing coast starlight because is biggiest railroad crossing also have the traffic light
i love that bell
Why was a Union Pacific freight locomotive pulling an Amtrak passenger service?
00:40, A unique solution to an everyday problem!!!
00:40*
0:00 PRETTY LIGHTS!!!! 0_o
@DJ ENDIE09 i see u before
I remember this video”! It used to be called a hand full of the railroad crossing
Great footage! How long do you have to wait till something comes by usually?
+Tractors, Trains and Planes Totally subscribing by the way
The bell on the second crossing sounds like the current ones fitted on New Zealand crossings. looking at the bell above the barrier it appears to be the same, take a look at this:
[Paraparaumu Level Crossing 2]
The first railroad crossing in this video caught my attention I mean wow it has a bunch of Lights how pretty where do they have this crossing at
Beaverton Hillsdale Hwy and Lombard Ave. Beaverton, OR 97005
UP PULLING AMTRAK!? That’s RARE
You said it what will they think of next
crossing @ 0:38 is epic
nice video 844Steamtrain!
This is 🚥
0:39 that light burnt out
thx for liking my comment
Maybe it's because the gate possibly hit it
@@masonmoreno5494 impossible there has to be a reasonable explanation for how the light burnt out
@@masonmoreno5494 Not Possible, unless the gate is strong enough that it popped the lens out of the lights.
Weird question, why was the first one had so many alarms like it has 14 sets? Sorry no good English I’m foreign
No, UP, and the other railroads for that matter, sometimes assists amtrak when one of the p42dc locos have problems
Why was the UP loco leading an Amtrak train?
Train 5: TriMet-MAX
Train 6: BNSF (Dragging A Amtrak 72 train)
Union Pacfic
Cool gates
I remember whenever I was little and watching this wondering where the train was for the first one
I watched this too! My favorite thing about this video that interested me the most was that gate extension in the 3rd clip
Same
Im so sad that the mechanical bells on the fist railroad crossing have been replaced.
BOTH AMTRAK AND THE RAILROAD INDUSTRY HAVE IMPROVED GREATLY SINCE 1980,,, I KNOW FIRST HAND I'VE BEEN OUT THERE AND SAW IT HAPPEN AND IT STILL CONTINUES TO IMPROVE
Tejasnite di
Tejasnite ?
This is probably the level crossing with the most🥇 r🔴d lights in the w🌏rld ! 60❗ On the second🥈 place is West Palm🌴 Beach,FL. (50) (traffic-lights and barrier-lights not counted)
Ugh i didn't even notice the impatient tan SUV lol
That is so cool!!!
Awesome Video
Not Bad Is Good. So Like It Since 1981-2002
Another Train Will Be On 2003-2011 Last One Will Be 2012-2015
Great video, signals, and trains! =)
Super Video
What is wrong with some people, they say a video is boring and yet they don't say if they have better video.
The wch 1.5 bells are my favourite bell too
shit that car is about to get hit by da gate lol
0:39 Burned out light bulb. What railroad crossing location is this?
trains in portlan, or are awsome!!!!!! thanks for the video
I WATCHED THAT WHEN I WAS THE KID! 😱
