Snow So Deep It Swallows 42-inch Nitto Trail Grapplers! l Harry Situations

- Loren Healy had his famous “Milk Run” well this is the Barn Run! Harry Wagner’s wife has asked him to feed her horse. Sounds like a simple task, right? The issue is that the barn is 14 miles away and a blizzard has dropped several feet of snow. Harry flogs his ‘77 Ford F-150 in order to ensure Peanut is fed her alfalfa for the day with help from Nitto’s new 42-inch tall Trail Grapplers wrapped around 20-inch TrailReady beadlocks. Larger tires aren’t only a benefit in the rocks, the increased contact patch allows the heavy Ford to float on top of deep snow and the 460 ci engine keeps it churning forward nonstop. Mixed in with the action are plenty of snow driving tips, recommendations on vehicle modifications and upgrades, suggestions on what to wear, what to bring, and more!

Fun to watch . I was waiting till the end to see if the barn was actually sitting behind the house, and He took the scenic route around the lake or hill to get to it… 😂 😂 😂
I don't know about everybody, but I love Raymond. Ever since cheap truck.
I don't think there is anyone else in the Reno/Tahoe area that is more willing/ready to go wheel than Alan! Nice video!
You guys knocked this one out of the park definitely a epic video
Very nice sir yall northern guys are having way too much fun. I so want some good snow here in Virginia to go snow wheeling in
that's a beautiful truck!! I cant wait to finish my 68 high boy! I want to take snow wheeling so bad. dana 80 with a Detroit locker, 79 king pin 60 with a limited slip, divorced NP205, NV5600, 01 24v cummins, 7" lift and 37's.
I used to have a lifted 1975 highboy withe a built 390 headers 4sp on 39 inch tires. Boy I miss that beast! Low lock in granny gear that thing would pull down a house!!! Lol. Love the video! One beast of a truck. I put a 79 front end on mine. Video brings back memories and making me jealous!!!! I love it! 🔥💪💯🇺🇲 Once again awesome video....
Awesome video! The "Take Breaks" pro tip was funny....Mitchell Carter never takes breaks. Keep doin' whatcher doin' Harry! Merry Christmas.
One pro tip to add, a good dog. Always bring a good dog.
nice! we do a lot of snow runs and it never fails to see others show up completely unprepared. Aside from lack of recovery gear (not even a shovel) is rarely do we see anyone properly dressed. Its always the usual wheeler uniform-- jeans, hoodie and tennis shoes. Those are a recipe for a miserable day. GorTex shells are your best friend with correct boots and light layers.
You know what they say Mark, cotton kills!
In Wisconsin we go snowmobiling, which I find multiple times more exciting and fun;)
Wow that's impressive. DEEP!
This is the snow wheeln video i was hoping someone could make. Aweeeesssome!
My favorite ford 🥰
The only ford I’d consider
Right as my 40’s finally came in, 42’s are the new 40’s. Well, time to wait another 13 months for tires.
That truck is too cool. I don't think my 2.5L would like driving though all that snow even with 5.38s. Nice storytelling, too. Looks like a fun video.
Thanks for the entertainment! Always forget about the heat in the motor till the steam tells us to look! 😅
Bitchin video, thx for taking us along
Good times! Had ‘79 Ford F150 with a 4 speed manual. That thing would chew up everything, snow, mud… until that 1 time up at the cabin. Walked to a farm and talked a farmer into driving his tractor down to extract the F150. Nearly every truck since jas had a winch. Haha! F350 now with a Four Wheel Camper on it, winch on the front. Have a good day! Just subscribed!
Great video. Pure fun plus some snow bashing. Thanks for making it!
The snow had to be relatively fluffy with no hard drifts or you would have been in trouble in this journey! We get lots of snow in ND but its always windy here so we get lots of drifts and they can be hard as a rock when it comes time to move them!
I had a 1977 with 38s on it. That truck would go through any snow bank!Haha also owned an 88 4 Runner! Another mule!
You have the greatest vehicles , video was great, music spot on, thanks
Dude that tru k is a monster and I love it !! Something about old full size fords
AWESOMENESS PERSONIFIED 😮😮😮 BEAUTIFUL FOOTAGE, along with heartwarming family life AND TOTAL REAL NOSTALGIC’73-‘79 FORDTUFF SHORTY ACTION MAKE THIS AN ICONIC 💪💪💪💪Christmas present for BIG WHEELER viewing👏👏👏
Merry Christmas Cole. 🎄
@@HarrySituations Merry Christmas Harry 🎄 Hoping you and yours a safe and blessed 1 🙏
Radical! Terrific work
Would be nice to have the horses close to the house but, what fun!
Best snow wheeling video!
That truck is a Beast!!. I built a 79 - F250 very Similar. Ran 40" Grand Prix. Started with a 1970 429cu in. Lost #4 out the side and bottom. Found a 1973 Short block 460cu in that was .40 over. Built that up with all the goodies. Had Dana 60 Front and Rear and 4:11 Posi Front and rear. Dang. IMiss that truck terribly.
They used to be cheap but not anymore!
Right on Harry! Awesome video, couldn’t be any better. 🏁🏁
Work to play, and if you do it right... play while you work!
I love that truck, Awesome video.
What an awesome video.
Thanks for the video, looks like too much fun!
I think you left out the inevitable part of snow wheeling... getting stuck? Maybe you weren't trying hard enough?
I did try to get stuck! This was hero snow, the traction was unreal. A week later… I got stuck plenty! 😂
Looks like a blast!
Great Video! You have a lot more snow than us in Montana. But we have snow drifts of over 6 feet in areas! I need a truck like yours to get to work/school! I want to know who had to stand out in the snow to film this! Love you Cousin....looking Good!
Merry Christmas Ginger! 🎄 Mike had to hike through the snow to earn his money, there is a little behind the scenes shot of him at the very, very end.
Good fun video Harry ( and team ) !
I had a 77 f250 with mud grips on the old split rims. That thing ate mud and would push snow over the bumper any day of the week.
I always favored the GM trucks. Those 76 and 77 Ford trucks are mean looking. Have a few 4 wheel & off road magazine's with this truck in too👍
I absolutely love that Ford
Awesome 🔥
Looks fun !! Cool truck !
ALWAYS bring a 4Runner 😉👍🏿
No 4Runners were harmed in the making of this video.
Happy holidays cousin! Boy you sure remind me of Pappap in the beginning of this video. Love and miss you. Tell your mom and dad hi.
My dad said that I look like your dad!
I'd love to see a video of just raw footage in the snow
That was an awesome video Harry! Well done my friend. 🤘🏻
Thanks Collin! This was the best snow wheeling conditions I have ever had, we got lucky that the cameras were rolling!
@@HarrySituationslooked pretty epic forsure. Well thought out and executed too! Now I need to find some horses to feed, or another clever excuse to get out and do some snow wheeling here in Colorado! 😂
Nicely done 🤙🏼
Buffalo, NY needs to build a dozen of these trucks for their emergency services. Lol
😂😂😂
Didnt even put on chains! Nice job sir
Great video!!
fresh cold powder is pretty easy to push through but i do really like that truck
Yeah I went back a week later and didn’t get nearly as far!
Awesome truck !!!
I need to know more about the exhaust on this truck. It sounds great!
It has L&L headers and Nate’s Precision built a custom 3” exhaust with a Dynomax Ultra Flo muffler.
@@HarrySituations bullet style ultra flow or the traditional muffler style?
@@HarrySituations thanks!
@@robsmith7681 I had room for a traditional muffler under the truck.
@@HarrySituations it sounds great! Thank you for the info. I’m wanting a new exhaust for my 460 truck. It’s got single 2.5” on it right now. 😩
Consider automated feeder ? This was a great video production and editing are wonderful really enjoyed watching
Automated feeder would take all the fun out of it!
"Gitter Done---Yep"
Pretty cool seein ya ford guys build power waygons'... ! good stuff
love it!!
awsome video
Epic video. You didn’t run into any frozen drive shafts or bearings? Had a Ford Focus (yes i know) delivering pizzas and my drive shaft had a block of snow stuck.
Fortunately no frozen drivelines! It has been cold here though so all that snow is still stuck to the front bumper and grill.
Awesomeness...
Great video but more engine noises please lol I want to bust out my 79 on 38.5 boggers out of the snowbank now thanks I do need to feed the deer tomorrow
picking up a slight Ron Swanson vibe in this video!
My wife says she likes the mustache but I still don't know if she is serious or not...
Привет из Сибири Кузбасс Таштагол!🥳
I hope I can get my 77 f150 to be this cool god damn
is that an old scout with a half cab at 5.22? or the beginning of act 4? and if so i want it!!
Yeah!

Old Ford 4x4 = Honey Badger "It just doesn't care "
I had one I did that but I had a snow plow on mine
Damn, how big is your property? Awesome trail ride though
I wish all of this was ours! The horse is on a different property where we used to live. Still need to build a barn at the new house.
Great video. But I'll stick to a snowmobile if it's a couple feet deep.
Keys to the snowmobile weren’t hanging up in the entry way though.
Chalk one up for Ford!
Just hate to see good old sheet metal getting trashed. If it hasn’t happen yet, it will or your not having enough fun.
wait until nighttime and all that snow freezes. on the top.
Sorry the horse needs to be fed right now!
@@HarrySituations I know i was farmer years ago most people have know clue
how many hours a farmer has to work.
How deep was it where you turned around???
Probably about three feet deep.
Amigo you have to see the turbo 4 barrel straight 6 300 turbo kit the have now you talking over 500 ft of torque and around 600 or 700 HP crazy power for a straight 6 300 engine and mostly all stock really crazy if you will ask me jjjjj
Any more moisture in that snow and it would have never happened.. Looked awesome though.
I went back a week later and it was much more challenging! 😂
Rad Rig!
07:40 4runner
460ci engine and 460 oz gas tank!
I know this situation...
Is this in 4hi mostly?
This was 4Hi. A (cold) week later though and I couldn't power through the snow like that. I had to use low range and minimal tire spin.
Drop the staged conversation at the beginning and this is an epic video!
Act one had to set up the reason to go snow wheeling!
S*** I wouldn't complain I'd get out there and play and have to go get that horse fed anytime to go play on the snow or the mud it's a good time to get out cuz
They don't make it like that anymore something reliable an easy to work on not to mention tough
Bad a••!!! 6 mpg?
On the road it gets about 8 mpg but I would be lucky to get 6 in that deep snow!
Nice video amigo nothing like the ford truck special the old school ones a friend of my build one with a 289 small block 4 sp transmission 4x4 and I can say that higher rpm 289 really is something else rip snow out and sound so nice plus he have another old school with a nice build from junkyards parts straight 6 300 motor 4 sp 4x4 and holly cow that is a beast to torquey like hell nothing like ford the 300 straight 6 sound like a lion 🦁 jjj both of them are something else hillbilly build CCR born in the byouooooo light up and go and put the volume up jjjj
Videos like this is why EVs will never be a thing for real Americans!!!!! Awesome vid
Could you live any farther from the barn?
It’s only 14 miles. In summer we can get there in 20 minutes.
Back ground music ruins the experience. Just the raw sound of the 460 is good enough
The 76 Ford is the coolest looking truck ever.
The electric chainsaw in the snow is an awful idea, those batteries are useless when cold. At least keep it in the cab
Thanks for the tip. I can’t seem to get my normal chainsaw to work when it is cold either so I figured this would be a good option.
Or keep battery In Cab? That would work also If you dont want saw in cab. I would cover with plastic where battery plugs in saw so it dont rust thow.bad ass Truck thow
talk about booorrring!
Great video but lose the music. So irritating
Two words
BAD ASS
Super sick rig love your property I have a 2005 superduty with 5:13 gears and a Detroit wish I knew they had I think you said 5:23 that touch lower would be nice but wondering if you’d actually notice it that’s pretty slight. Great video awesome dog love cattle dogs most loyal pups around and super fun to take along they love adventures
That was a typo on my part, it should have said 5.13 like you have. Monte is definitely loyal and as you can see he loves the snow!
@@HarrySituations I’m subscribed to your channel but this is the first video I remember watching so here I am and will stay brother keep the great content have a great Xmas and thanks for the reply 🍻
