It's so neat, Ant. Don't know if I mentioned it, but seeing consolidation is always a treat and now you can enjoy them equally! Whatever watch you choose for the day, you have all your bases covered. Can't really get a more rounded collection ;)
i have the same Dreyfuss & Co 1925 with the salmon dial , as a daily wearer , it has a Valanvron VAL 24 automatic movement , pretty nice 38mm case , Stainless Steel case with an exhibition back window , i have it for 2 and a half years , works great keeps good time as well !!
Another great 👍 Wrist Watch Shot week #IDGuy it’s a great initiative for the watch community to get a break from everything that is going on around us in the World 🌎 ATM especially for those still isolating in lockdown.
It really means something having you on the show, Russell. And it's always a blast having a look at your pieces in the end ;) Enjoy your Sunday! (Think I might follow in your footsteps and go for a bike ride)
Cheers for the review of the Grand Seiko SBGR311. In regard to the dial color and pattern, this if from the Grand Seiko site. "The 9S Mechanical Model limited editions are distinctive for their brown color reminiscent of the local traditional blacksmiths working iron with flames." "The radial spiral pattern on the dial consisting of 80 spun curved lines is an original insignia adopted for the 20th anniversary limited edition models of the 9S Mechanical calibre and embodies the Grand Seiko spirit connecting the path of history it has followed to the future. The “G” and “S” of Grand Seiko and the “S” mark of Daini Seikosha (currently Seiko Instruments Inc.)..."
Great show as always...just watched it back. Nice to see my Seamaster GMT great white and Seiko King Quartz...the KQ is 1975 and the strap is incredibly comfortable as you suggest, easy to adjust as well. But much prefer the Omega, in the flesh it just pops...especially in the sunshine 😎👍
Hi IDGuy, thank you so much for discussing my Air-King, from 1946, ref 4499. For those who were interested, this is not a bubble-back model. And it doesn’t have an Air Ministry engraving. E.g, 6B/xxxx. Therefore, this piece was not issued by the military. Best regards. Patrick
A daily wear watch does not have to be couple of thousand dollars watch a Seiko padi automatic could be it and it’s around 300 to 400 dollars, let’s be real nowadays and stop calling Tudor BB at 3475 before tax a daily wear watch for average Joe.
In Toronto canada I buy a super super clone I bring it to a rolex expert he say it was real rolex . Unbelievable. Your super clone look just like mine. You a expert but a regular person like me will never know. Imagine on MaMaCoo
