Part 3: Sozo [WORDS] // Ty Gibson & Nathan McKee

Jesus came to “save” us. But what does that mean? Going to heaven rather than hell when we die? The Greek word for salvation is sozo, and it has far more to do with our present experience in this world than what happens after this life is over.

I think there is also an additional part to how Jesus is Sozo (ing) us as He saves us from sin and selfishness. He saves out of sin into His love and He preserves us there, protecting us from losing that love and new identity.
