I love this Digital Kit. The fairies are so beautiful. I always seen to forget about the hidden paperclip ephemera. And I love them when I see them. Can’t wait for my payday. This kit will be mine. And your bow was beautiful.
Barbara, those tags turned out beautifully to become the hidden paper clip. Love both sides. And the ribbon turned out so pretty to top it all off. TFS! ❤
I love where you put this hidden paper clip idea. Perfect with the page to the left. Loved watching you crush that ribbon. 😊Die cuts are gorgeous ... you're addicted to micasprays! ❤
What a great paper clip!! I will admit when you shared all the colors you were going to use for the die-cut flowers I thought, "What is Barbara doing?" And then they turned out beautifully!! I really enjoy this series you are doing now. TFS
I'm so happy I didn't drink a sip of tea right in the beginning of this video! I would've gotten tea all over my table! 😄 Thank you for the first laugh of the morning! 😊 Enjoy these videos so much! Fab hidden paper clip. 😊
Your paper with all of Ephemera is amazing! Your paperclip is a great work of art and i love your idea so much. Thank you for this wonderful video dear Barbara. Have a nice day Pia 🍄
Hi Barbara, Amazon sells the snug hug. It comes in many colors but I buy white and color it myself. Wet it first before coloring. I use my distress sprays. They turn out beautiful and crinkled. I love this series. Thank you for sharing. 🙂❤️
Auch dieser versteckte Papierclip gefällt mir wieder sehr gut. Die Garden greenery Stanzen sind so ziemlich mein liebstes Set und ich nutze es wahnsinnig gern für alles mögliche. Liebe Grüße Nicole
I use white snug hug, cut a length, put it in a sandwich size ziplock bag, spray with water then my distress sprays and mica sprays, crinkle it all up and hang to dry. They always come out beautiful!
When my nozzles clog I take them off the bottle and run hot water from the kitchen faucet through them, both from the bottom of the stem and from the spraying hole. Once I can press it down and get water to go through it, it will work again on the bottle. 😊
I suspect cotton or linen ribbon will crinkle much better for you, as polyester is basically a type of plastic. Cotton Bias binding tape should work well for that too - plus you can dye it any colour you want, although I love that pink colour (& I don’t do pink as a general rule). Love your giant paper clip too. Very cool. You seem to have endless inspiration 😊
This project is so fun, cannot express enough and you do have bow making talent. As for pressing polyester back in my youth in the country I am initially from we had to press our polyester red neck kerchiefs every day for school. We would make them wet and iron it through some cotton cloth until it is dry and smooth. I am sure crinkling wet ribbon and then pressing well with hot iron would make the crises stable enough for your project quickly. Also, quick tip for those who do not have black cardstock at the moment. Cardstock packaging is ever-present. Black household paint is probably not but I personally find it very useful for many applications and cost efficient, so I always have a gallon or so of that. One can mass-paint all the accumulated cardstock to make a supply for die cuts (etc.).
I wet my mine then place a hot iron on top to get the crinkles. But for polyester not sure how it will react. It is wet though so maybe it wouldn't melt it. Love watching your videos. Love the new digitals. Your laugh is so infectious. Makes me laugh everything.
The Mica Spray die cuts made my mouth water!!! Thank you for another wonderful idea! I found a small package of that Hug Snug rayon seam binding at a Thrift store and it crinkles and colors beautifully but I'm too cheap to spend the $30 Canadian for a 100yd spool....maybe one day when I feel rich!!!
I love this🤩. I've made some fabric ones too, but a bit different and definitely a bit more fiddly! I'm going to have to try this simple and easy way next - but minus the bow because I'm not a fan of those to put it mildly🤣. TFS 😊
get the ribbon wet and then let it dry, it has to be dry to get the wrinkles. You can also add weight to it while it dries to really imbed those wrinkles.
I LOVE mica! But even flushing the nozzle every use can end up clogged somehow🙈. Those colours are amazing 😍. Lol great ribbon tip if we have time. That bow is gorgeous 😍and was like watching a magic trick 🙊. I wouldn't be surprised if a dove flew out at the end😄. Absolutely stunning 😍😍 I'll definitely make something similar. Tfs and have a great day 💖💖💖
I think you have to turn bottle upside down and spray till nothing comes out, when you finish using to clear inside nozzle, each time. Once the mica settles inside it can be very hard to unclog. Seam binding is what you are looking for, to crinkle. I'm in UK and it's not so easily available, but have found it online. Bias binding is thicker, cotton, and will not give the exact look you want, as it's heavier. But it will get creases. Maybe experiment with thin torn strips of muslin, that should also dye and crinkle. 😊
