An additional point i can make here is that the sliver of terror absorbs the increased damage taken from anguish by compensating with toughness. They are truly a match made in hell. ❤
@@trulsbendiksen9990 it depends on what you're doing with the build. If you are not using the +50% damage rank 3 ability (+50% additive damage from ALL sources, dealt in the form of poison damage), and you are playing solo, you only need poison damage on your follower's weapon to fully benefit from essence of anguish. If you are running group speeds with the deathblow effect, the explosions on kill will suffice to proc the CDR and movement speed stacks...so the build will generally function just fine without poison damage on your weapons, it will just lose a tiny bit of efficiency in the very beginning and very end of the rift (when enemies are not dying). This can be a good thing for the boss fight though, as you will have 50% more toughness against single target bosses. Assuming you have 100% vengeance uptime without anguish stacks, this would be the safer option in hardcore (not rolling poison damage).
Great video. Hopefully I can use this building to clear 110 and an EN to finish out my HC altar. I'm really kicking myself now for not saving what were, at the time, unused shards from the Darkening of Tristram event when you could farm 2 of each in about 5 minutes.
Thank you for still doing Diablo 3 videos. All the others are doing videos for Grayablo 4 and that game is just so bloody boring to not only play but mind numbingly boring to watch. Diablo 3 is just a better game all around. POE is the same way. I played POE for about 3 or 4 weeks and it just doesn't hold my interest. Diablo 3 is just fun to play.
spin to win baby :) for those wanting to push or rank on GoD DH, remember to utilize your guided arrow weaving! there's more to it than just clicking around, it becomes more like a left click every 1.5 seconds or something roughly.
Hi Filthy, thanks again for your work. It's not by any means boring to create GoD video, never gets old - at least for me. I'm an advocate of casuals, I still love playing this build; the less I come to spend time grinding hard and the less my brain gets numb, the more comfy I get. I love some no-brainers. So it's another DH season for me, perhaps I'll try Crusader FoH for a change too. I like the visual and so far I hadn't played holy skill build yet. Have a good time as always. 🙂
Hi Filthy, great video.. juz wanna share something.. u can roll Poison dmg on ur follower weapon.. when the follower attack it will help u stack the soul shard
Thanks for continuing the D3 vids, I’ve really tried to enjoy D4 but it’s just not for me I guess. Still prefer to play D3 any day! Have a great holiday everyone!
Filthy, I mentioned this on your Soul Shard video, but I'll post it here. IMHO, the best Lesser Soul Shard for GoD DH is Remnant of Pain with the Cold damage 50% chance to Freeze, and a separate 1.2 multiplier on Cold skills, that's the level 3 upgrade you want. Guaranteed Crits against enemies that are Incapacitated (like by a Freeze), and a huge chance to Freeze on hit, with a 20% damage multiplier, on a fast attacking build, that's the big winner.
@@jedirayden The problem with croisant (Remnant of Pain) is that if you have high density, GoD can't really clear that quickly. Essence of Anguish solves that with lvl 3 upgrade (death blow explosions), that's why it's the best.
I think the remnant of pain is a better option in the weapon, especially if you run in a group with multiple people using it, all monster will be frozen most of the time so almost all hits will be crit damage. If I remember correctly this is what we used to do in season 25th for speed, 3x god dh and 1 zdh, the zdh also freeze with bola making it easier to always hit crit dmg. I think we were doing 120-125 in 2min, faster on good maps.
chiming in ... ive found the easiest path to getting any set geared up for any toon... gamble gloves or cube upgrade rare gloves... ive found you get the most bang for ya buck doing that. then convert set to get the others. last 3 seasons its how i got both my UE and GoD sets going
That’s just lucky for you. statitically , boots, legs and shoulders have higher chance of getting set items than gloves. Shoulder is by far best chance as there are way fewer options. Shoulders are 2000 blood shards on avg, pants 2250, helm 2750, gloves 2688, chest 4250 and boots 2250. so in fact gloves are quite bad gamble option. (Taken from maxroll kadala gamble calculator)
You don't need it on both - just one or even poison on follower weapon counts. To be safe, I'd do main hand weapon as that hits first but it should be fine either way around
since you mentioned rolling poison damage on the weapon, i' ve allways been curious, if you are running a build with bonus elemental damage, is it worth trying to get that same type of damage on your weapon or is it a negligible difference?
Weapon damage element only has an impact if it can trigger a specific elemental effect for you, such as Elemental Exposure for Wizard or that poison shard, it doesn't have any effect on the elemental multipliers of skill on gear or the elements of runes. I assume they made it a nonfactor because it would be quite hard to get a good weapon if we also only accepted one element per build. The weapon soulshard can roll elemental damage though and that should be aimed to synergies with your skill element.
@@tubaherogaming631 that's what i thought, if you are using the frost rune on hungering arrow it already converts that damage to frost and since d3 has no "white damage" autoattacks it would make no difference, i just find it curious that the damage type still exists on weapons, must be a remnant of an abandoned system
This is definitely my season starter! Hated this build and havent tried it after the big QoL change, so excited to give it a shot! If it's comfy to play it's SO good. If not, hey, you can farm multishot easy enough :P
best class to start this season is monk because of the starter set and the crazy leveling speed from the mystic ally boots, then you farm the bonus xp legendary gem and boost the alt you actually want to play you can probably level up a monk and do all this even faster than leveling a dh as first character also remember we have the altar this time around with all the QoL bonuses, so leveling is gonna be even more of a breeze
The base effect is not nullified by not rolling poison damage. Anguish deathblow explosions are poison damage and proc the rank 1 effect
Yeah, I read through the maxroll article yesterday and this is true!
An additional point i can make here is that the sliver of terror absorbs the increased damage taken from anguish by compensating with toughness. They are truly a match made in hell. ❤
Just to clearify: you dont need wep w poison? Even in maxroll they recommend u have poison on 1 wep?

Muscle memory still demands clicking every .75 seconds.
I tried going without all the clicking right after the update and in high tier content I had a hard time staying in oculuses so back to clicking I go

Why not Remnant of Pain?
50% chance to freeze enemy
100% Crit chance to incapacitated (frozen)
+ 20% damage to frozen enemies.
The poison explosion did a lot of lifting in the speed clears - but certainly something to try
@@FilthyCasual96 I'll have to try that 👍
When you use Remnant of Pain you can focus on Area Damage instead of Crit Chance on gear.
