Filthy
Hi Filthy, long time no see. 🙂 Well, for starters I'd love to express all my gratitude for every bit of your effort put into - I can't stress how key this is - quality D3 content, which expectedly becomes scarce of late.
My season start was, to remain decent, kinda bummer - no luck with legendary drops during leveling up to 70. More than a week has passed and I'm stuck on the final stage of Altar unlocks (21 to 26), cuz I simply lack time to play even if I wanted to so bad...
Anyway I'm hoping to finish all nodes over the upcoming w/end, blast thru Enmities and GRs to find 4 missing PA and finally minmax Strafe Multi/Impale.
My Primal Soul-O was the Krelm's buff belt, which made its bee line to Haedrig's anvil.
I hope you're having fun once again, mate. Cheers! 🤩
Filthy, I could be wrong about this but IIRC, Fire Impale is also an option for pushing because the burning damage applied also gets the huge 120k percent increase to the first enemy hit, so you get DOUBLE damage on that first enemy hit, like the Guardian for example.
Edit: this version is harder to play however because you need to be somewhat precise with your targeting/get good maps/pylon spawns.
Could well be, I don't push much, but would like to clear 150 this season so I best get learning!
@@FilthyCasual96 if u wanna go 150 good luck on the dh :P
I clearly recall myself playing Chemical Burns rune for its significant DoT effect, I'll prolly prefer it once again; cold Overpen requires building densities.
I opted to make may squirts necklaces sanctified so far as it seems to be so hard for me to get an ancient (let alone a primal) one with the high double crit plus the elemental damage i want, leaving my weapon or offhand for a made primal upgrade. I seems every season to get a decent primal weapon for the classes I build, but never that damn squirts with the right stats. Having a blast so far in the season! 😀As always, thanks for the find videos!
Preach... I've been playing actively for years and since Squirt's had obtained the legendary power, I dropped 4 PA versions, none of which rolled 2× crit and the option to reroll for element %. All my really good Squirt's (ele/double crit) are either crafted PA, which leaves no excitement, or nonancient. 😢
I’m running wraps in cube because playing on HC, wearing the channeling shoulders, using In-geom for more damage and put the dagger in cube. I was doing speed 120 in 90sec constantly with lightning quivers around 1400 paragons. Everything die 1 shot clearing everything in the map with the ricochet rune as you chain the elites. I’m using tactical advantage in passive for movement speed with gloom shadow power for toughness and the last gem of smoke screen that has a cooldown instead of discipline cost. You can press shadow power to activate tactical advantage before you kill your 1st elite and after that you can keep pressing smoke screen non stop speeding through any rift 1 shooting everything at lightning speed. With all that toughness, constantly being under smoke screen and one shooting everything I almost never drop my squirt buff.
I didn't consider in-geom but will give it a go once I find a nice lightening quiver. Thanks :-)
what do you mean by "lightning quivers"? Like a holy point shot with lightning damage on it?
@@TealAV yes
Loving this build, thanks for the tips
This is nicer than Crusader if you enjoy having eyes that work .
😂😂😂
To be fair, when you're playing Crusader, once you have everything put together properly you can probably farm most content in the game with your eyes literally closed.
xD
XD
got my primal karlei as my first primal this season. man did that speed up my progress 😄
Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet
It can’t be stressed enough that this build requires you are hitting a higher level GR so you can get the energy return. If everything is dying in the first shot, you will be out of energy. For GR90-100, use the multishot version.
For speeds, I love convention of elements + elusive ring (or unity) just to not hit a resource generator skill from time to time. I’m not sure if I’m missing much for not having F&R but it seems simple to play, especially on console with a gamepad
No F+R means you're losing out on a total 125% multiplicative damage increase. In other words, a bit more than double your damage. All the time if you can keep it up, as opposed to the CoE, which is effectively a 50% damage multiplier all the time... Because it's 200% increase 4 seconds out of every 16 for the DH, you understand what I'm getting at.
So depending on what you're doing, F+R is definitely a significant damage increase, but at the cost of some toughness/ease of play. If I'm doing speed GRs, I'll probably run F+R just to speedrun a few tiers higher in the same amount of time, but for Visions/T16/Echoing Nightmares, I'd probably sacrifice some damage for convenience of play/toughness and use your setup.
@jedirayden I should’ve been more clear about the “I’m not sure” part, sorry for that. I know what it translates to damage wise, it’s just I’m not sure how many GR levels I’m missing with this setup. If it’s GR 120 vs GR 122 in 2 minutes, it seems okay to me. If it’s GR 120 vs GR 125 in 2 minutes, then I might trade ease of play for more rewards of 5 GR levels.
i went for lightning still for speeds, wearing the mantle of channeling, and shadow gloves, cubing wraps of clarity. for the 50%, so no frostburns for me
Yea, I really should have covered that option, a few have pointed it out
My ice spear necro is finally coming along, it's been a weird season. took me ages to get the sim neck, then took ages to get a CoE, then took ages to find a dantes binding, then guardians was the last pattern I got. Then didn't get a primal scream until the 10th or 12th GR.
So all the pieces are there. Garbage rolls, only a couple of ancients, but i do have scythe of the cycle sanctified. The defense is crazy, so I might drop a bit for more damage. Did a 107 earlier. Top 10 in the masquerade, top 400 overall. It is a very fast build so I reckon it could come close to this with its full potential realised. And someone other than scrubby old me playing it!
Seems like you're still better with 25% dmg + dr with equipped channeling and wraps in cube instead of all that other swapping. Wraps are more tanky than Stones and definitely better than shield gloves. Cheers
Wraps are more tanky below 2.5k Paragon. After that, Stone Gauntlets tend to pull ahead in overall tankiness.
Yeah, I should have covered wraps as a good option. Slightly less damage, but 50% DR would be taken as a trade by many players
Hey, Filthy, love your videos!
I'm running Shadow 130 in 2 minutes at 1800 para and with perfect gear and high augs you can do 135 in 2-30 by my calculations.
I can tell you that area doesn't work here, because strafe is a proc and you can't have proc (area damage) from another proc.
I've read a lot about that in blizz forums and Reddit.
So you don't need area anywhere on your gear, you better have some cooldown, in goes great with your Crimson set.
Cheers!
When doing a higher clear the elites die a hell of a lot lot faster when a bunch of trash is around it but it must be some kind of dark magic and not area damage 🤷♂️
I think the Area Damage does work. You are right in general - a proc does not normally benefit from AD, but there are exceptions and this is one. To test, do a 5-10 runs without your AD in your paragon and you should notice it is slower
cant wait for the AoV FotH Sader build guide
Coming out 3pm UK time today :-)
I’m building toward earth set rn, with the new ww power it’s going to go crazy
I would sanctify holy point shot since getting right rolled quiver is way harder then dagger.
Thanks. I feel like I spent a good two minutes going over this in the video
Hey Filthy, I built mine, but wasn't do it like you. I have Gears and Cruz Valor is fun. Anyway, thanks
thx man
Dunno man i followed ur UE multishot guide, and found out instead of Pride´s Fall its better to take hexing pants mega dmg boost i can now run 100 under 3 min
and i still have nice recources
Does Impale got nerfed way back season 27? I remember using In-geom - cubed dagger in season 27, and destroy GR120.
I'm very confused why you not running wraps? You're constantly keeping it up cuz of FnR. Also what are your thoughts on the ingeom variant?
we mostly use 2 piece of guardian set for massive toughness.
I should have covered that as an option, just totally forgot. It's a choice between wraps and frostburn. When making a speed build, I always stack the damage so I can get the best clear I can with good RNG, but 50% DR over 12-15% extra damage is a trade a lot of players would make.
@@FilthyCasual96 Yeah that makes a lot of sense, also depends if u using the cold or light rune i suppose. I heard best for solo speeds is lightning so went with wraps but haven't touched cold yet. might do that at some point.
i played with in geom. Also works well. I did 136 solo with it too.. not easy though :D
Dang and here I am trying to do a Barb whirlwind spin to win and can't even do a GR125 in under 12 minutes. Balance is hard I guess for devs.
Bro sader is the way to go imo. I’m doing Gr 125s in about 3 minutes, I’m paragon around 1000, I have shit gear, I’m not in all ancients, I have zero augs on my gear because I got 1 echoing nightmare so far somehow just bad rng but I am currently leveling gems the old school way to start augmenting some of the ancients I do have. The build is so cracked
@@Rawlingm yeah there are a lot of other better ways to go, but this is the build I want to play.
@@Rawlingm i only got 1 scream so far dude its so bad idk whats going on
They used to make efforts at balance, but season themes will always throw out some wonky results
bro they aren't gonna balance a game in maintenance mode
Isn't this too squishy and no squirt's uptime?
I'm running the maxroll speeds impale with crimsons and dmg red bracers. How does it compare to yours?
I've not tried that spec Alex, but as I said in the video, I like this spec as when I get a shield pylon it's 2 minutes of BRRRRRRRRR. I still don't have a nice St Archews, so would like to try that. As for DR bracers, they could be swapped out for frostburns and cubing the MoC. I think this would give more shield uptime from the altar mechanic and only lose abou 10-15% damage depending on the elemental rolls you have
D3 got an update, like 2Gb. Have you any idea what is that about?
Server side stuff
I went with the fire version, pretty squishy though. Crafted the holy point and got lucky, not sure if i can get past 125 and i have pretty solid gear. Not sure how to proceed. Switch to cold i guess?
Lightning/Cold versions are easier to play. Fire is technically stronger, but ONLY on the first enemy hit with every cast. So you have to be more precise with your targeting (not easy to do with the Strafe Impale) to make Fire shine.
Looking for the Part 2 of Crusader build.
Tomorrow :-)
I like❤
Bye🎉
Thanks :-)
How much stronger is this compared to regular Impale?
Vastly. Although it's been a while since I've played regular Impale. My guess is about 3x or more
I’ll have to try this im doing 125s in a 1:30 on sader but pushing definitely squishy did a 134 in 7min need to see how much faster i can do on DH. Or just play the broken WoL monk and do solo 150s
It could be even stronger if you swapped your karlei's to an in-geom or echoing fury for speeds.
Heftig
Yeah same, I was doing same since I play solo to get some paragons, farmed 1700 so far. Best way to farm paragons and it is so easy with DH. I hope you all enjoy the season.
Hello! 😉🧙
WoL monk makes the best xp
Yes, I should have mentioned that - d'oh
How many hours to get 1200 paragon?
I think that has taken about 25-30, but I'm by no means an efficient player. Sitting in 4p 125-135s would get you there much faster
@ I only play solo. Thanks for the reply.
Personally not a fan of st archews, cuz it triggers when elite dmgs u, in speeds just dont get hit
Change the cdr roll on your weapon to 7atk speed istead. You need some atk speed rolls to hit the break point.
And lose vengeance uptime
Thanks, I might try and Sanc up some more daggers then
Help me, im starving of hatred, cannot make this build work for nothing ;\
Sure, let's get that fixed. You are probably playing at too low a difficulty - if you kill monsters with one shot then you do not get the 15 hatred back by hitting a second time. You can add resource cost reduction rolls to you gear, but you really should not need to. Paragon points in hatred and consider the 'Blood Vengence' passive as this also adds hatred. Good luck
I'd argue that Monk is just superior to both Sader and Impale at speeds, being in the ball park clearing 5-10 GR's higher in speed content in 2-3 mins. If you're averaging 2-3 mins at 120 as Impale, you'll be averaging the same time at 128-130's on a WoL monk.
I would suspect so, I just don't have monk built yet. I should have mentioned that as an option, so that is my bad
This build is powerful, yes, but it's so BORIIIIIIING!! Monk is just better
What are you playing on monk for speed and paragon farming?
@mwadsit123 I'm only building LoD, for farming still using DH
Guess who's back, back again. Goonsteam's back now and then.... La la la la la la........😂
1st?
