Lol... Love the old "subliminal message" for Arken.
lol, that was fun to stick in there
Always straight up no BS reviews, great content 💪🏻
Really looking foward to this review, Joe!
Hope you enjoyed it
I started buying Arken because of you Joe. I have an ep-5 and an sh-4. Both bought using your promo code. Couldn’t be happier with the over all value and performance. Thanks Joe. 🤘
Awesome! Thank you!
Thanks Joe. Illumination on a FFP scope is really helpful.
Under certain circumstances yes
Thanks for the honest review! Nice work on the editing.
Much appreciated!
Great job, Tex! Thank you for sharing!
My pleasure!
Good info Joe
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for the info my friend Joe 👍👍👍👍👍👍👌👌👌👌💯💯💯💯💯💯😁
Any time!
Thanks Joe 👍
No problem 👍
FANTASTIC.
Great timing on the video, as I am in this EXACT conundrum. Venom vs Strike Eagle and size.
Tilting towards Venom as Strike Eagle is $400.00 more in my neck of the woods.
3x15x44 is better, in your opinion. Wonderful. Now off to watch your review on the product.
Thanks "Joe" for helping solving a "dilemma".
Take care
Glad I could help
Mr Cyclops is back, let me get popcorn for some real action
Lol
Looks like a damn liquor store up in there. Love your videos, you salty prick.
Thanks for another no BS review!
You bet!
Very interesting, Joe. gotta wonder why the higher magnification scopes are inferior!?! good to know though and, thank you. Cheers
No idea , just report what I find
Bought a tikka t3x tac a1 in 6.5 creedmoor. They offered to throw in a strike eagle to sweeten the deal. Turned them down and put my Arken on it. I think I made a real good choice.
Yes sir you did
I agree
Love my Arlen 4-16 and see you at the gun show Joe
I’ll see ya there e
That's crazy!😮 You would think a company would pay a bit more attention to detail while offering a higher magnification scope. I personally enjoy the 20× range as I just can't see as well anymore!
My thoughts exactly . But these lines are vortex’s bread and butter scopes . For better glass almost any brand gives more for the dollar
Definitely some food for though with both these optic lines from Vortex. Just got in my Arken LH-4 4-16x44 FFP that cost a whopping 225. Not sure why anyone would go with the vortex stuff at 2x the price other than quicker to get in hands and maybe warranty service responsiveness.
I’m comparing them back to back tomorrow
Hey Joe, I love your no nonsense content. I've seen a 'Vector Veyron 10x 44mm SF' light weight fixed mag budget friendly scope. Focuses down to ~10m and sounds interesting as an airgun scope, but could be disappointing. Any experience with that brand?
I have that EXACT scope on one of my airguns and it’s worked out great !!!!!!
@@CyclopsJoeVideos Awesome, thanks!
My thoughts... I bought the 3-18 x 44 Vortex just over a year ago. At the same time, Primary Arms GLx 3-18x44 came out as well. I had just built a DMR/ 18" barrel and wanted a scope in this 3-18 range of magnification. I think that range or something close like a 3-15 is perfect. I compared the Vortex and PA side by side for two weeks from zero out to a laser measured 500 yds to the back of a house. I ended up keeping the Vortex and sending the PA back because, it had less field of view, the parallax knob was so tight that it was hard to adjust without actually moving back over and past where the sweet spot of focuss was, if that makes sense. The clarity, and color on the Vortex was just a vey small touch better than the PA, almost indistinquishable but, not quite. The most important to me was the reticle. On the PA, it has these little square dots on the windage line. Those dots were not usable to me (and I see 20/20) until I zoomed up to around 11x. On the Vortex, because they're lines, I was able to use the windage subtensions when I zoomed up to 6x. So this greatly increased the userability of the recitical within the zoom range on the Vortex. I also liked the locking turrets on the Vortex more because I could manipulate that with gloves. The PA has this little triangle and I thought it was harder especially with gloves on. Lastly, the PA GLx 3-18x44 was about $749. I paid $672 for the Vortex. Once I had my load developed, and the gun sighted in, I made a 400 yrd shot on a steel target with the first shot, and the impact was just 2" below dead center. So the scope tracking was good to at least that far. I haven't taken that gun out past 400 but I will. I've got another DMR that I've taken to 725 yrds with an older 4-16 Vortex on it.
I am actually a big fan of PA , but they have so. Many scopes in their lineup that the reticle choice just leaves me scratching my head
I'm a big fan of PA as well. I've spent more money over there on AR components and builds than some people spend on a two week family vacation to Walt Disney world. But I think they focus way too much on what I'll call, human battle reticles. The number of people buying these type reticles and likelihood of them actually firing upon another human is so low its rediculous to even ponder. A typical mill or MOA reticle is much more usable, IMO.
Vortex is like Leupold , making you pay extras for having illumination but just in a slightly different ways.
Yep
I completely agree on the Venom 5-25 , I bought one a month ago and sent it back because I was not impressed . I have a 18 year old Simmons A-tec that is clearer and brighter if you can believe that . For $ 500 bucks I expected it to be an improvement in clarity and it just wasn't .
Both 5-25s are a huge letdown
👍👍👋👋
The new VIPER HD 2-10X42 looks very interesting, HD glass and illumination. What's your opinion about it?
I have one on the way
what about the 1-6's?
Hey love your channel.your channel is funny and informative.it brings this old combat engineer heart much joy when you give the girly men sh*t.i agree about arken, they are a great bang for your buck and I own two so far using your discount code.which arken do you think would be a great fit for my 6.5 build for 500-1000 yàrds?
I think it would for real . I have a 6-24 on mine
Joe- have savage 17hmr with can -old scope broke. Love pst 1-6 power but would like some more power. What u suggest . Want to use on varmit slime squirrels and ground hogs and skunks 50 -175 yards. Thanks. You crazy bastard
Man if it’s a hunting rig take a HARD look at Meopta . The glass is second to none for the money
@CyclopsJoeVideos Which model would get your highest recommendation for the money?
And, do they track well?
Thanks
Joe. Anyone ever tell you that you'd do one hell of a job as a color sports commentator? Having you on live TV calling plays the way you review scopes would be some good shit.
lol, that would be a blast
I’ll stick with that “flash” brand
Yeah, I'm not taking a chance on Vortex. Hear too many bad things about them in general. 9 out of 10 go back. Like not holding zero. Don't matter how good their warranty is if its constantly sending it back. Leupold is best, in my opinion.
Good Words !
2 Vortex scopes in the same month😮 Did they buy you out man😅
No man . Optics Force has been sending me some scopes to review . We have a great arrangement, it’s a classy outfit
Unless you get a large discount The Arken is comparable to the Strike eagle
Yep
There are also 1-6 x 24 on both. Does this mean they have the same differences?
Haven’t tried them
What I got out of this is, you are not in the pocket of Vortex. Thanks Joe!
lol, no doubt
I put the 5-25x56 Stroke Eagle right up there with Burris XTR II 4-20 x 50 as far as glass. The Burris has better dials that's about it. Burris has the XTR 's up to the Pro now for a couple grand the other ones didn't cut it. The Vortex might have a better sight picture less distortion and aberration than the Burris I never can quite get the Burris focused it really pisses me off I bought these two just because of the price. Turns out there are less expensive scopes that are better. Hint hint..........Meopta.
Meopta Blake both away
Isn’t the 56 the old hog hunter “thing”😝?
lol, yep
For 499 to 750 I can find a better scope. But that’s my opinion
Vortex are garbage. Buy a Leupold, you won't look back to vortex ever after you mount a Leupold on ur rifle.
What scope? Throw it out there or you just bullshitting.
@@hmoobshow2482 Leupold vx3. Or the vx3 HD
Either one best scope I've ever had . So clear and so well built. Lifetime warranty and it's transferable
@@hmoobshow2482 try to get one w the hunt-plex reticle
It's awesome 😎
I agreee 100%
I don’t know but did you get paid off or scared off
Don’t take payment from any scope maker or seller
1 to 6 venom is illuminated
I personally hate the reticle in these scopes (EBR-7) The reticle in the Razor Gen 2 and Gen 3 (EBR-7D) as well as the one in the LHT (XLR-2) are so so soooo much better an easier to use.
The big difference is the center dots on the Razor Series, it has less clutter around it making it much easier to use.....and the horizontal stadia lines have less clutter as well - they all have lines at every .2 but the EBR-7 lines are longer (and maybe thicker) but again just harder to use the reticle in general.
Good scope though. My buddy has the Strike Eagle, it is fantastic for the money.
**No scope should EVER have locking turrets!! Totally unnecessary IMO** Who are these people that have scopes that are moving because they rubbed up against your clothing????
I refuse to pay extra for locking turrets or illumination
@@CyclopsJoeVideos 100% agree with you.
Subliminally, I feel that Arken optics are the way to go. I just felt it as I watched the video.
It’s a good hunch
I have the venom. Really don’t like it. My Arken is clearer and better all around
The 5-25 is awful
I have a friend who was cornholed by BigFoot
It happens more than folks know
N👍👍👋
So basically just go elsewhere. Thanks Joe.
Dah Dah Dummm!
That always tickles me
Razor......
I want to try one
Vortex??? lol 😂
Vortex fanboys rejoice.....
They don't seem to help themselves at Vortex but you tried Joe, you tried.
lol, yep
Oh, jeez.................Vortex.....................................
lol, my thoughts exactly when I opened the box
or...............go with an Arken and save money and get a better scope
Yep
Always straight up no BS reviews, great content 💪🏻
Thanks
