I enjoyed this review. I picked up a Vortex Venom 5-25x56 a few days ago. What I can say is that image quality looks way better through the human eye on the Vortex. I didn't notice any blurring and the image through the scope is very clear. That being said, there is that fisheye effects when using high magnification, but my eye is so focused on the target I don't even notice it unless I try.
It appears that either the parallax or eye focus was off when he filmed this video, I just sighted this Vortex scope today. It is crystal clear, nothing like what was portrayed in this video.
I have the Arken (thank you, Joe) and it is freakin AWESOME!!! I’m glad they sell it at the price point that they do, because it could be sold for a lot more!!!
I am super impressed with the arkin. I have a diamond back 6/24 ffp and I’ve been happy with it. The arkin appears to be a huge value. No doubt the glass is clearer and brighter. And an illuminated reticle is a bonus especially when it’s less money than the other scope. Thank you for a well presented comparison
I have the same scope(the diamonback) and I've been looking for something to replace it with and was a little hesitant on Arken but right now you can get the 4-16x50 and a pair of 34mm rings for $290 from Arken and I paid $425 for my diamondback without rings. Watched this video and immediately ordered the Arken. I went down in magnification cause it's on a CZ457 and I dont put it at 24 as much as I thought I would. Cant wait to get it and I'll give an update if I remember to.
@@motorgearhead well, I got the scope and I love it. I personally think that it's clearer than the Vortex but I do have a few issues with it. My first issue is that the parallax isnt 100% accurate cause I was at an indoor range out to 25 yards to get it on paper for 50 and I had to set it to like 30-40 yards to be clear. My second issue is that when I went to re-zero the turrets, the hex on two of the screws for the top turret stripped but I managed to get them with a small torque bit. My last issue but this is very minor and it's that the illumination washes out the reticle completely and is unreadable in very low light conditions, even on a very low illumination setting. Other than those issues, I love it; it's clearer than the Vortex, has a much nicer and finer reticle which will make it really nice for 100 yards and I love that the subtensions go by increments of one and not two like the Vortex.
I am a Vortex guy but it was fair. I don’t have an Arian so I need to get one. The price point is the same as well as the warranty so why not. I appreciate the review.
Well, this was the comparison I was hoping to find, just not the outcome I was hoping to see. I own an ARKEN and love it (other than the weight), but I was hoping this Venom would be a contender since I like both companies. Looks like I may be buying the new EP version of the ARKEN.
I really appreciate your no fluff, no BS scope reviews. I'm looking for one premium scope, the brand doesn't matter, that I can put on different rifles one at a time. I think the turrets on the scope should allow for easily aligning, centering the reticle to the optical center of the scope to make the bore sighting easier. Do you know of such scope that allows the shooter to align the reticle to the optical center of the scope easily, quickly?
I'm a fan of Vortex's higher end razor line optics and their red dots but I've personally had problems with their budget optics and know a lot of people who's had problems with them... They have a great warranty but that doesn't help anything if you're in the field when it fails. As long as you stick to their Razor line your good to go... I even have a couple of the PST/HST optics that are pretty good also but you'll definitely be spending more than $500 and there's better options then that by other companies for less money. Great video as always keepem coming brother!!!
@@JC101Zero I don't own an Arken but I'd buy the Arken because you never hear anything bad about them and they're a couple few hundred dollars less... The PST is a good optic but if you want to spend that much money I'd recommend looking at the Primary Arms GLX series. I believe it's going to run you a little less then the PST but the glass is freakin amazing, they have some of the best reticles on the market, and they track flawlessly. They hit way above their price tag and again you won't hear anything bad about them. Hope that helps!!
WOW! This is the video review I needed to see. I was *this* close to ordering the Vortex Venom today but I tend to research every purchase I make ad nauseum, and I think this review has dissuaded me from that purchase. Thanks! Nicely done!
I've been watching your reviews for some time now and love your style. I've just ordered an Arken SH4 Gen ll 4X16 with MOA reticle and used your code. I'm putting this on my just acquired .50BMG rifle that I waited 11 months for. Thanks for all the honest bullshit-free reviews.
Gonna have to do this one again with the new Arken 5-25-56 😁 I have the old 6-25x50 I got back in 2019 when they were unknown and took a chance with my hard earned money. It was the best scope I had ever bought. Now they have a track record and are stablished, have a 1% tracking gaurentee, the most tactile and audible, heavy duty, zero stop, turrets. I just ordered my 3rd one and they haven't even gone up in price. Just as their mission statement said , There is no reason why a good scope has to cost what the major companies are selling them for. They went into business to be a market disrupter and they have! They have been such a thorn in Vortex's side, It seems all the new Utube "reviewers" are going after Arken. Thats ok, at least Vortex has had to step up and try to make a scope that can compete with Arken. It doesn't have all the features and costs more but at least they are trying to bring more value to the average guy than they were 3 yrs ago. Competition is good for the consumer.
Good "no BS Review Joe", I had the same issue with the Vortex Viper 4-16x44 as with most midrange priced scopes they distort at full power, Question do you think Arken will build a true hunting retical in the future and where are they made?
I was searching RUclips for reviews on the Vortex Venom for my SPR. I've been a loyal Vortex owner for about 2 years now. (Viper PST II's) I didn't feel like I needed a 1000 dollar optic for this SPR so I was almost dead set on the Venom. Came across this video. Had never heard of Arken. The one time Google's tracking and algorithm worked in my favor. I've owned the SH4 now for a week and very impressed. If you keep your mindset in that I paid 299 for this optic new, I got a damn fine optic. Thank you for the video and the bluntness.
Will always use the Arken in 10 out of 10 times and not the Vortex. Had different Vortex stuff (red dot and scopes), from 4 i had to send all 4 back because of failures. Or get a delta optic, great stuff.
I own both of these scopes. One they both are great value to cost! Second, I would give the clarity of image on all magnifications to the Venom - but not by much. I don't think that you can go wrong with either in this price range. If you want to get something better - IOR Valdada. Be careful though, once you use IOR you will be SPOILED for life! I am quite happy with the Venom and the Arken too!
Have the IOR recon g2. Worth every penny. Also have 2 arken ep4 6-24x50. They don't have the red dot but are good scopes. Looking at this new EP5. Might be in the safe real soon
I think either the parallax or eye focus was off on this video. I just sighted in this Venom scope today, crystal clear! It's very easy to skew a comparison like this. Look at some other comparison videos, and you will find they had the opposite conclusion.
ARKEN with Vortex Warrenty wins the day. When I buy a scope and I have many many of them, part of the equation is repair or return because when I am out hunting SHIT happens! I agree with you that the ARKEN has better optics and more exact turrets! This is why I love your reviews! Perhaps Vortex will listen a bit and improve on a $500 scope!!! Never the less if I had to make a decision today I still must go with the Vortex. The guarentee to me is the holy grail. I will return the scope 10 times till they get it right! Once again great review! Ira
Another great video. I agree in ref to sending scopes back. Really setting up a scope right is some what a pita because it takes some time if it’s done correctly. So sending scopes back really sucks!
I had a Bushnell 6-24x50 Tactical Elite with a G2 reticle. Great scope, clear but no zero stop. At almost a $1000 it was twice as much as the Arken. I bet the Arken glass is just as good as the $900 to $1000 Bushnell. I think they lowered the price to $800 to $900 right before they discontinued it. Technology drives prices down in some cases it seems.
Its literally technology from the middle ages. The optic market is riddled with bells and whistles that you don't need and are just there to separate you from your money.
Great Trade Study. You omitted tighter eye box (vignette zone) on the Arken which really optically and turretwise compares w Vortex PST glass. Having both, Vortex PST for hunting, Arken for guys who shoot a lot /hunting, but otherwise bench winner on low cost to value
I recently bought the Vortex Venom and I really think your camera is off or you got a scope with a factory defficency. The vortex is just as clear as the arken or clearer. Crisp, sharp and very bright consistently all the way to the edge. No regrets in buying it. 100% worth the money!
Yes this video was worth watching for the visual comparison ques. I hope the AWM (Agency of Weights and Measurements) gets these unit of measurement adopted as soon as possible.
This is gonna be a really controversial review. Because so many folks are diehard Vortex fans. It doesn’t matter though, because we’re all fixing to hear and see the truth! Come with it Joe, make me a believer. 🤓
I am in no way shape or form a Vortex fan boy. I own one Vortex scope, the Venom. All I can say is, I don't get the crappy view that this video shows. It is crisp, bright, and clear (I can read the grid line numbers on the target paper at 100 yards). I've had zero issues with it so far. *Shrug*. Is it perfect? Nah. No scope is at this price point, but at least mine is far from crap as this review says. My son is purchasing an Arken SH4 Gen II. Can't wait to be able to compare them side-by-side in person. I hope the Arken is everything it is made out to be. I want an EP4 as my next scope, but they're not in stock right now.
@@danieldyck2576 - just bought a 6x24 Athlon FFP illuminated mil-dot scope for my Texan. On sale at midway $269. A lot of glass for $$. Probably not as good the Arkin but price was right & better than UTG I was running. The turrets are crisp and tracking is good. I’m thinking about aea challenger in .22 but I’m afraid it’s got to much power to run 14.3 crossman premiers. Any experience with light pellets with yours?
As always a great video, I would say the vector optics scopes I own both around £200 🇬🇧 ( not sure how much that is in$ US )are better optically than that vortex
I disagree, looked through 3 strike eagle 5-25x56 at 1100m and 2 Vectors at close range. Both of then looked like looking through the bottom of a beer glass
I generally like Vortex scopes. I have a 1-8×24 strike eagle that I'm really fond of,great eye relief & the illuminated dot & circle are truly daylight bright. I also have a 6-24×50 diamondback tactical, which is a good scope as well(although the turrets are a tad mushy, but do dial true). Either this week or next i am definitely ordering an Arken SH4 6-24×50 gen 2 to mount on my Bergara HMR 300WM,& am so excited I feel like 8yr old me on Christmas...(I'm 55 now)
I have a vortex Venom.. it's crap. My Leupold and Nikon are worlds better. My daughters Diamondback is better and sons Copperhead is just as good. We have 4 vortex in my house and my Venom is the worst. Straight facts.
I'm a Vortex Venom/user raised on old school Bushnell and I usually only buy optics I can see and touch. I can appreciate the fairness factor here. Most fanboys as you call them are only fans because of hype reviews NOT detailed comparison such as these so if there's some butthurt so be it. Online stores offer deals and big box outlets have their contacts and don't give us tactile shoppers any other choices other than the big V. Out the box last summer, I've run my own VS challenge using my Cableas Covenant 5 5-25x out from 100-1k yds both are good in the budget zone but didn't "see" what the $150 performance gap and what I expected for the price difference. Definitely open to buying a Arkhen as my first "blind" purchase.
I have sent my Arken back twice to be fixed. Was not impressed with their customer service. I am getting my money back for the Arken. Bought a Vortex Strike Eagle. A bit more money but zero issues thus far and Vortex's customer service will actually talk to you.
Thank you for the review, I own the same Vortex scope and have owned other Vortex scopes that are double in price. Lately i went on a whim and bought a couple Athlon scopes and WOW , been a Vortex fan boy for a while but tides have shifted ( sorry Vortex ) . I DEF would love to add this Arken in this mix, looks amazing for the price point.
Come on, now, is that any way to talk about the Arken? Sorry, could not resist an open ended statement like that. I like Vortex but don't feel like I have a dog in this fight. Just watching the show and eating popcorn.
My Venom cost 499 + tax. Rings about 80. So, approximately 622 total. So, Arken could be beating them by the cost of a fancy lunch. I put on a scope rain slicker, about 24.
I have the Vortex Veyron 4-16×44 FFP and the image is just great. I don t see any distortion or chromatic aberration. At least with that model, I have no complaints whatsoever. Never tried the 6-24x56.
Own 2 ARKEN SH4 Gen 2 6-24x50. EP5 is next on the list. For price, quality, and great service I'm a loyal fan. Vortex is a name. I prefer function and performance. Both may be reliable, however I can't seem to see clearly with ANY Vortex I have used. Glad you pointed out the difference between views looking through a Vortex vs Arken.
For the price point yeah I love the Arken for sure would not think twice in getting one. Though I love my vortex razor and will not sell it. Sure vortex needs up their game in lower price scopes clearly.
I have no experience with the Arken but I do have several Vortex scopes. I agree with you on the clarity of the Vortex scopes. I think Vortex is a good company that stands behind their product but there are better scopes for the money in every price point Vortex offers. Just my observations.
honestly, after chancing a Riton Conquer X3 6-24x50 based on your review, I will say..... I come to your channel to look at reviews cause you tell it how it is. I've been nothing but happy with my Riton scope and you nailed every point and I wasn't let down. Cheers mate 07
I bought the EP5 for my CZ457, I was shooting competitions with a Crossfire 2 which isnt ideal for competitions at all.. I cannot WAIT to run this Arken.
Same here. Used to be a big fan of Vortex.. not anymore. In the last couple of years I sent back every single optic to them (red dot and scope).. I’m now a Leupold fan boy. More expensive for sure, but well worth it
Thanks for the video, Joe. I thought it was just me. I looked through a Venom and Strike Eagle that belonged to friends. I thought both my Athlon Midas BTR 4.5x 27x50 and Argos 10x40x56 were both better glass at 25x. Everybody was raving about the Vortex,,, I must have missed the Kool Aid.
I have nothing but vortex scopes. I have razors to diamond backs. I will not buy any of their scopes made in China! I have had zero issue with any of my scopes, but if vortex is going to China to have their product made, I will buy something else. I will definitely be looking into the arkens. Thanks for the review. I have been hearing that the glass used in older vortex scopes is better then the new glass.
Wishing for Arken to do second vocal plane, mil reticle, and MOA dials.in a 3.5-10 power range. Re Vortex: I used to sell em and in comparison to other brands the Vortex had about a one in 20 defect rate to other popular brands with like a one in 1000 defect rate almost or never a defect: Leupold, Nightforce, and surprisingly, Bushnell.
You’d better watch out Joe! You’re going to get a reputation for being HONEST and a REAL GOOD GUY! Happy New Year! I hope that Your site blows up and gets You millions of subscribers.
That “side focus” is or should actually be a Parallax eliminator. Arlen makes a great product, the only vortex I ever bought was junk. Having said that I’m gonna stick with the PA.
thanks for the honest review....Arken wins hands down in broad daylight. Which one performs better in Low Light and which one has the most eyesight correction? My Vortex scope has just enough eyesight correction to create a fairly sharp image for my aging eyes "Not even close to Perfect".
Great video. Very unfortunate that your Venom had some crappy glass. I looked through my Venom after watching this and I don't have any of that edge blur that you showed in this video. That being said, I plan on buying the Arken to do a side-by-side comparison on both of my AR-10s.
I think either the parallax or eye focus was off on this video. I just sighted in this Venom scope today, crystal clear! It's very easy to skew a comparison like this. Look at some other comparison videos, and you will find they had the opposite conclusion.
Well after watching this i thought id double check the Venom that was on a secondhand rifle i bought and was glad i did, it certainly matches the Arcken picture quality your video shows, with the whole picture crip and clear and bright edge to edge all the way through the mag range, as for whats under the turret caps there it no plastic lol, i do not use the zero stop and cant find it to check it so cant comment on the material its made of. Here in the uk there is no way id pay £899 thats $977.65 for a budget scope which is what the Arken is being sold for by various gun shops, Id sooner buy another Venom. Thanks for the video like all RUclips videos i tend to take them with a pinch of salt and use them as a referace for when i check out something in person, keep videos coming.
Hey Joe, I have to say I “hate” ya’, I always one step behind you, I got myself Vortex Venom a week! Before you released your review, one freak’n week! I was happy to see that mine was crystal clear, but after three times in the range with about 600 rounds it lost zero, like 1.5f in elevation @ 50yars!!! I could not see my impacts before I down to 50 yard, than it “jumped” back to Zero and so on… each time I get excellent group but up and down 1.5f @ 50 yards, in addition the ring under the turret carrying the “zero mark” got loosen completely and rotates freely. Now I know Vortex provide warranty, but I followed your review, I bought my self two sets of Arken SH4 Gen2 6-24X50 with mounts and flip cups. I got an AMAZING response and communication by Arken, Your Cyclops code made its magic. So, Thank you!!!! And I “hate” ya’…. You've got a believer! Just to be clear I “hate” ya’ is a Jock, in my mind I can’t say I love ya' to someone I don’t know man, unless they know in person
I completely agree with him. Vortex is not making very good sighting system. I have had so many problems with thim. Red dots won't hold zero. Scopes cloud over internally.
I have a Gen 1 PST from vortex, super clean glass. Fast forward, I was at a LGS and looked through the new pst viper , newest version of mine.....crap! Just lousy and it was about 800 bucks? If I ever need a new optic, I'll grab an Arken. But between my Primary arms, Athlon and the Vortex I mentioned, I'm good. I almost wanna buy one , just to have, before the bosses wake up and jack up the price.
Thanks for the review. I appreciate your in depth coverage. I just dropped my hard earned dollars on the SH4 II after watching you destruct overview and the comparison video. Wow! I'm shocked ! I'm glad you did this video! Hands down with the Arken ! And I'm a Vortex man and was considering the Venom. Now I'm looking at the Arken!
Joe you really need to review some Swampfox optics. I tried a Vortex SE LPVO and a few others and wasn't satisfied. The Swampfox whoops the Vortex SE all day.
You are the man, and are so good in showing people what is really good and bad about scopes, and I appreciate you and your videos! Hope this doesn’t get demonized again!
Have optics from both companies and have had no issues. Both can perform very well if set up right and used right, however Arken gets my nod on any future optics.

Right on brother, I had a few Vortex scopes for a bit but ended up retiring them for the Arken, is heavier but the picture is fine for a 500 bucks scope, better yet got mine for half of that! Never looked back. This is just my choice, I know vortex has a great reputation and I respect that. Just saying for the money Vortex is good, usually more economical that Arken, but Arken is producing a product that meet my expectations to a great extend and yes you will get the bad apples every so often like anything else but so far so good! if you had to choose beetween the arken vs the viper pst which would you recommend?
@@JC101Zero I don't own an Arken but I'd buy the Arken because you never hear anything bad about them and they're a couple few hundred dollars less... The PST is a good optic but if you want to spend that much money I'd recommend looking at the Primary Arms GLX series. I believe it's going to run you a little less then the PST but the glass is freakin amazing, they have some of the best reticles on the market, and they track flawlessly. They hit way above their price tag and again you won't hear anything bad about them. Hope that helps!!
The field of view visualization reference analogy could be the basis of an engineering distance measurement system we can all understand. Great work!
WOW! This is the video review I needed to see. I was *this* close to ordering the Vortex Venom today but I tend to research every purchase I make ad nauseum, and I think this review has dissuaded me from that purchase. Thanks! Nicely done!
Joe I really appreciate the scale you used to show the difference in elevation. That was something I could easily visualize
Lol, thanks
Love your long range scale, you crack me up Joe!
It's amazing how much more light comes through the arken!
No doubt
Honest review joe! I also have the 4-16 already and love it! You the bomb with your reviews!
I agree , when I buy it !
It should be right.
Screw sending it back time and time again.
I've seen the Arken optics used on more than 1 50 cal it should hold up well for you.
@@Phenixrising-p1p It's been on it for 2 years now and is holding up perfectly. I now have 3 of these scopes on different rifles, I'm sold on them.
@derbestrafen lol jeez I was tired when I wrote that. I didn't see it was 2 years ago.
I’ve been seriously looking at the Arken , this review may have pushed me over the edge! Nice, concise and thorough job with the review.
Thanks Richard . I was seriously trying to be as honest and unbiased as I could
I own both of these scopes.
Yeah shocking that the guy that has a Arken promotional code would bag on vortex 😂
Go watch the video again u must b a schill 4 vortex
@@realtruth4259 why? I like the arken turrets over the vortex and I still do like them both a lot...not sure how I became a schill.
Bought the Arken after Texas Plinking's strong endorsement of it. Now I need a good gun at a great price to put it on.
Thanks for the information and comparison. After seeing I would take the Arlen over the Vortex
Thanks for the review exactly what I wanted to know plus for whatever reason I shoot considerably tighter groups with a illuminated reticle
Bushnell Forge has the whistle and bells
Great Trade Study. You omitted tighter eye box (vignette zone) on the Arken which really optically and turretwise compares w Vortex PST glass. Having both, Vortex PST for hunting, Arken for guys who shoot a lot /hunting, but otherwise bench winner on low cost to value
I recently bought the Vortex Venom and I really think your camera is off or you got a scope with a factory defficency. The vortex is just as clear as the arken or clearer. Crisp, sharp and very bright consistently all the way to the edge. No regrets in buying it. 100% worth the money!
It’s very possible. I can only test what I have on hand
@@CyclopsJoeVideos I respect that! Thanks for the review.
I’ve had both. Currently running the Arken. Hands down. Arken is a MUCH better optic.
I have the Arken. It is awesome!
I just got my first Arken SH4 Gen II. Got a few Vortex scopes going up for sale now. As soon as the Arken pipeline gets up to speed.
With the larger range in vertical travel, the Arken would be better on airguns with their loopy trajectory and bigger drop at the end of travel.
I would happily park it on my .308 Texan.
I have the gen 2 6-24 arken on my 25cal aea varmint pcp it's tuned to 65 foot pounds of energy. I love this scope
Either this week or next i am definitely ordering an Arken SH4 6-24×50 gen 2 to mount on my Bergara HMR 300WM,& am so excited I feel like 8yr old me on Christmas...(I'm 55 now)
This guy said he is an affiliate of arken. Vortex is by far the best scope for the price I've ever bought. This guy is paid off
The camera don’t lie .
@@CyclopsJoeVideos people do
Arken r great scopes I bet. But u talk like vortex is no better than a Nikon 100 dollar scope that is bs.
I have a vortex Venom.. it's crap. My Leupold and Nikon are worlds better. My daughters Diamondback is better and sons Copperhead is just as good. We have 4 vortex in my house and my Venom is the worst. Straight facts.
@@willy250rmy venom is way better than my diamond
I will agree with your statement that it is by far the best scope under $500.
Hahaha,i'm starting to think...how much has Vortex payed RUclips to pull this video previously ;-)
Lol
Only vortex stuff worth a fuck is their razor line and viper
New review coming Saturday
I have sent my Arken back twice to be fixed. Was not impressed with their customer service. I am getting my money back for the Arken. Bought a Vortex Strike Eagle. A bit more money but zero issues thus far and Vortex's customer service will actually talk to you.
I just got Arken epl4. I like it. Ordered a second one couple days after getting first one delivered.
Keep up with the no BS videos.
LOL Any doubts how this ends up!?
Thank you for the review, I own the same Vortex scope and have owned other Vortex scopes that are double in price. Lately i went on a whim and bought a couple Athlon scopes and WOW , been a Vortex fan boy for a while but tides have shifted ( sorry Vortex ) . I DEF would love to add this Arken in this mix, looks amazing for the price point.
I saw the original. Might as well have called it a turd with scope rings. 💩
Come on, now, is that any way to talk about the Arken?
Sorry, could not resist an open ended statement like that. I like Vortex but don't feel like I have a dog in this fight. Just watching the show and eating popcorn.
I have vortex scope with Tikka 243 and it's super accurate for 500 yards to 200 yards not regret having vortex scope for hunting.
Arken will cost about $600 out the door with all the bells and whistles.
My Venom cost 499 + tax. Rings about 80. So, approximately 622 total. So, Arken could be beating them by the cost of a fancy lunch. I put on a scope rain slicker, about 24.
Wont the bells and whistles scare the prey😁
@@markf3229 I can respect a lot of people like really loud turrets. I am kind of leaning the other way. The less the deer can hear me, the better.
I have the Vortex Veyron 4-16×44 FFP and the image is just great. I don t see any distortion or chromatic aberration. At least with that model, I have no complaints whatsoever.
Never tried the 6-24x56.
vortex fans = 😭😭😭😭🥺🥺🥺 butthurt
Own 2 ARKEN SH4 Gen 2 6-24x50. EP5 is next on the list. For price, quality, and great service I'm a loyal fan. Vortex is a name. I prefer function and performance. Both may be reliable, however I can't seem to see clearly with ANY Vortex I have used. Glad you pointed out the difference between views looking through a Vortex vs Arken.
Thanks for sharing , lotta guys hating on my channel cause I don’t drink the vortex kool aid
I agree 100%
Love your no BS reviews. Thanks!
honestly, after chancing a Riton Conquer X3 6-24x50 based on your review, I will say..... I come to your channel to look at reviews cause you tell it how it is. I've been nothing but happy with my Riton scope and you nailed every point and I wasn't let down.
Cheers mate 07
Hey man thanks for saying that means a lot to me
I bought the EP5 for my CZ457, I was shooting competitions with a Crossfire 2 which isnt ideal for competitions at all.. I cannot WAIT to run this Arken.
Same here. Used to be a big fan of Vortex.. not anymore.
In the last couple of years I sent back every single optic to them (red dot and scope)..
I’m now a Leupold fan boy.
More expensive for sure, but well worth it
I have a PST 2 vortex and an Arken EP5. I love them both. Similar quality. The Arken has a more robust feeling construction to it.
Yeah man . Vortex has gone downhill bad
I really loved the scale showing thr adjustment range difference lol.
Always a pleasure to watch your videos Joe, hope you are doing well!. Dennis.
You’d better watch out Joe! You’re going to get a reputation for being HONEST and a REAL GOOD GUY! Happy New Year! I hope that Your site blows up and gets You millions of subscribers.
Thanks Jeff
I have been a hard core vortex guy but I just bought an arken for my 6 arc ar build and I love it
That “side focus” is or should actually be a Parallax eliminator.
Neither are great low light scopes
I just picked up the Venom on Black Friday. Its huge!
I am not sure how many time I watched the original video... Keep going, you're the man!
Thank You
Great video.
I was thinking about buying a arken before this video and now I’m excited to Order a arken
You will love it !! No doubts
You rock Joe. This video is one of the reasons I watch your channel. You don't put candy coating on dog crap.
I know you are ok with the diamondback, me too but mostly only for a air rifle.
Hey Joe,
I have to say I “hate” ya’, I always one step behind you, I got myself Vortex Venom a week!
Lol , I can handle that kinda hate my friend !!
This is the one I've been waiting for Joe! Thanks man!
I completely agree with him.
Vortex is not making very good sighting system. I have had so many problems with thim. Red dots won't hold zero. Scopes cloud over internally.
Thank You.
I really enjoy your style of reviewing products.
I appreciate that!
@@CyclopsJoeVideos Cheers.
I have used many scopes but, it's Arken for me any day of the week!!!
Nice work. Appreciate all your honest reviews. Thanks.
Thanks for the review. I appreciate your in depth coverage. I just dropped my hard earned dollars on the SH4 II after watching you destruct overview and the comparison video. I have a vortex and it’s been a good scope but I have Primary Arms that I feel are good value for the performance. Thanks for the fine observation and a can’t wait for Santa Claus to come to town soon! Thanks again…

Joe you really need to review some Swampfox optics. I tried a Vortex SE LPVO and a few others and wasn't satisfied. The Swampfox whoops the Vortex SE all day.
I have one I'll be filming next week :)
You are the man, and are so good in showing people what is really good and bad about scopes, and I appreciate you and your videos! Hope this doesn’t get demonized again!
Love to see you scope clamping tools... Good review, Joe you're the man... !!!
Thanks, I have a new 22LR on order and am trying to select a scope for it. Your review was most helpful!
I installed the SH4 on my ruger 10/22 competition model. All I can say is, Wow, what a great scope for that gun.
Have optics from both companies and have had no issues. Both can perform very well if set up right and used right, however Arken gets my nod on any future optics.
New subscriber, Great content! BS Free! TYVM I've been looking at many scopes in this price range for quite sometime as I'm building an AR10, and now I know what I'm gonna buy. Great sheet for a fair price is all I ask! 😅🤣😂👍
