    Applied this through the drain tube on 2013 impreza. It was dipping into the passenger side carpet from the blower motor so be careful if you try this. The fan still worked but I ended up pulling the fan out and wiping it clean to be sure it didn't keep dripping. The product kind of worked but still have some moldy smell from vents. I may try this again but maybe through center vents next time or pull the blower out and through that opening directly into the center of the hvac box

    Can I apply the cleaner through the cabin filter box?

    I’ve tried just about every trick under the sun for fixing the slight mildew smell in my 2017 Kia Soul. I found this product for 12 buck at an auto parts store and was pretty skeptical. Boy was I surprised by how good this stuff works. I followed the normal directions and applied it through the drip tube. 20 minutes later the smell is gone and now my ac a very pleasant spearmint smell. I normally hate the smell of spearmint too. Kudos on making such a great product.

      Hi. I want to try this too can i just use it direct wer the air coming out? I dont have a jack to do it under. 😢

      @@snoopyshirlz9052 I didn't have a jack I just laid on my back and fed the tube up the drain tube. I suppose you could put it in the vents. But this is more to clean the evaporator, not vents. For that I'd use a different spray or lysol in the external air vent.

    If equipped with a cabin air filter, should the filter be changed before or after using Kool IT?

    • @lubegardinternationallubri6870
      @lubegardinternationallubri6870  3 года назад +7

      Fred, if you plan on changing the filter, you can remove the dirty one, then apply KOOL-IT Evaporator & Heater Foam cleaner, then install your new filter.

    I've seen people do this by removing the filter and spraying into the filter box and with the fan running several times. Seems to work. How about changing the vent control to hit the defrost vent and other vents like a rear one?

      Hello - We do not recommend spraying the foam directly on motors, relays or sensors. We also do not recommend applying the product with fans running or anything energized while spraying the foam.

    When turning on the AC fan on to the lowest setting, should should I set it on outside air or re-circulation mode?

    • @lubegardinternationallubri6870
      @lubegardinternationallubri6870  2 года назад +2

      Hello - Either way will work, but having it on outside air will quicken the drying time after the product drains out.

    Dealerships should add a can of this stuff to all their car sales. Guaranteed they will stay in business selling cars a long time.

    F150s have an evap temp sensor. Is this ok to use?

    • @lubegardinternationallubri6870
      @lubegardinternationallubri6870  2 года назад

      Hello - Yes it is. You don't want to directly spay the foam on the sensor, so installing through the evaporator drain would be the best install method.

    I have bought this twice now and each time it never works. My recirc is open and I am putting the tube into the right drain hole. All it ever does blast foam everywhere all over my hand and the entire can ends up in my drain dish. I don't get it

    Do you have to replace the cabin filter after using the product?

    • @lubegardinternationallubri6870
      @lubegardinternationallubri6870  3 года назад +1

      Hello,
      It really depends on the HVAC configuration of your vehicle. You don’t want to get the cabin air filter wet, so it is a good idea to remove it before applying Kool-It and reinstall or replace after the Kool-It has drained out of the system.
