Hello - For preventive maintenance, the better product to use is Lubegard Synthetic ATF Protectant #60902. The ATF Protectant will extend the life of the fluid, reduce wear, prevent shifting issues, and lubricate seals. After adding one bottle of lubegard platinium, initially the skyactiv transmission got more smooth. However when I drove more, gearbox created more noisy and first to second gear shudder sometimes. Finally I drained and refilled again using OEM FZ fluid, now the transmission got much better. From my experience, Mazda Skyactiv transmission loves ultra low viscosity ATF, don't use the other brand of ATF. You can add lubegard red/platinium but half of the dose, 4oz.

The transmission is still jerky and makes more noisy, while down shift uphill or inclined road after adding lubegard red but the shift cycle tightened. The up shift looks ok. Hello - The Shudder Fixx should not be used your DCT. You could add 2 ounces of Lubegard Platinum #63010 in this application.

Hello - If you manual transmission is running gear oil, then we recommend to use Lubegard Limited Slip Supplement #42851. It also contains a friction modifier (like the Instant Shudder Fixx), but it formulated for use in gear oils.
