Lindsey, I love the neckline of the top you have on and the ruffle is sew cute. The color is very nice on you too.

I adore my Kai scissors collection! I have struggled with rotary cutters, getting poor cuts and I thought it was just me using incorrect pressure and angle. I have the purple one now, can't wait to try it on bias strips!

The first cutter with the black thingy could work also with patterns with no seam allowance and added with that! What time saver would be! :)

I love my Kai scissors, so I will probably love a Kai Rotary cutter. I had been eyeing the purple & turquoise cutter!

Lindsay, the BEST rotary cutter ever is the Martelli, available at Amazon for $14.44. I first purchased it years ago at the Sewing Expo, where one of the Martelli's was doing demos. It finally wore out and I recently purchased a new one. I never use the others that I own.

Yes, I invested in the smallest rotary cutter available for the doll clothes I’m sewing up. It’s really necessary to be able to move around the little shapes.

I bet those are nice! I have never met a rotary cutter that didn't work, I love all of mine.

I thought this was just me. I’ve used Fiskas and Olga and have to replace them every one in a while. Thanks for the video.

I was just looking at rotary cutters the other day and wondering about the differences. I’ve only used rotary cutters, so using scissors feels awkward to me. I really want to get a Kia. You do have to replace the blades frequently (if they skip like someone posted), it likely needs to be changed. I also only use a self-healing mat, and have heard that if you don’t use sharp blades, the mat won’t “heal.” Don’t know if that’s true or not. Thanks for the review!

I need your help fining of replacement blades fit in these? I have 5 of the Kai in 2 different sizes and I cant’t bring myself to pay over $10 a piece for each blade. I hate to get rid of the cutters but, I really need to find an alternative blade brand that fits into the Kai cutters that is more cost effective. I also have a Dritz cutter that uses the same blades as well.

You should be able to use any rotary blade, just know it won't have the same cutting quality as the Kai one that came with your Kai cutter.

Ok, I ordered them, I have quit using rotary cutters because they skip and I couldn’t cut out the fabric. I have my fingers crossed.

Hmmm, thought I was just weird with the rotary cutters. I must have at least 6 and am just not impressed. Will have to make the investment and try a Kai. Good video

So you’d still have to buy the high end blades, right? The handles are not pricey, but the blades will be if you change them frequently.

So far, from what I can tell, the blades last longer than their cheaper counterparts.

I forgot to mention, the Martelli uses the same blades as the others.

I think when I use a rotary cutter for garment making it is a completely different experience from when I use it for quilting. I would NOT recommend using that little "kickstand" when cuttting for quilting. Perfectly accurate cuts need to be made. A quilting ruler is mandatory. For garments, I think it takes practice. I get annoyed by the fabric shifting under the blade.

For quilting I meant more for the bindings than the shapes in the middle. :)

For those of us who can't cut straight with two rulers! Lol. Yay!
