      Thank you!
I try to help others get further along, quicker. To learn from my own mistakes 😂

Good to see a review on this. I have one as well and I am very happy with it. I have also used mine shooting sports and in heavy rain I found the same result as yourself, the lens stayed dry. I would recommend one of these.

Thank you very much for the review.
Good points on the lens foot cover and piping. We will keep that in mind on upcoming products.
For the focus ring we have added piping on both sides so that it feels different when touched. However, the raw feel of the textured ring is unmatched.

Thanks for review. I was actually looking at Roland pro since I’ve had negative experience with lens coat in past. I’ll have to take a look at this.

What happened to your Lens Coat?

@@MannsWoodlandPerspective I had a negative experience with Lenscoat as well. They offered an adhesive strip and when I put it on my 300mm f2.8, everything looked great. When went to sell my lens I took off the strip and it took off all the paint.
Lenscoat said they have zero fault in that and sorry it happened. I essentially sold my 300mm f2.8 for 1500 under market value. Went from mint to junk in a moment. I wasn’t asking for them to cover anything but they were quick to blame me.

I'll def keep this in mind for the future.

7:05 That's just what happens to neoprene over time, especially when exposed to the sun.
Assuming that the black rim around the pieces is also neoprene, this lens cover will be no different.

Even if the black rim is neoprene and fades or cracks, the stitching underneath will last longer with less failing edges due to being hidden.

@@MannsWoodlandPerspective could be, time will tell. 🤷🏼‍♂️
But in general, neoprene isn't ideal for this kind of product.

@realizevermillion the piping is actually polymer fabric. I believe neoprene vs pvc is down to personal preference.

Is the Alpha Gvrd water resistance?

    • @MannsWoodlandPerspective
      @MannsWoodlandPerspective  9 месяцев назад

      It's a glorified sticker.
It's not coming off from water. But it's not protecting anything from water.

@@MannsWoodlandPerspective Thank you. I had some hope it was.
