Exactly what I was looking for … all of the advantages to that camera cover are worth every dime … much appreciate you sharing have a blessed and healthy new year
Thanks for helping me fine a good strap for my camera. I use the 200-600 and a Sony a6400. Was going to upgrade my body but went with the 200-600 instead. I didn’t want to use a cheap strap because that is the only thing between my lens and a rock.
I looked at camo lens covers for this lens. In the end I've stuck with my son's camo t shirt. The neck is a perfect size to grip the hood at the end then it hangs down, masking the outline. I always use it to shoot from camo netting and get good results. Probably get one for £3 at primark
@@ollenilssonen just gotta go with what you've got to hand 😂🤷♂️. I've seen a lot of these covers are neoprene and are often advertised as waterproof, however as a long time surfer I know that's not how neoprene works and found it takes forever to dry. I think I'd be constantly taking it off to dry it then putting it back on which seems a bit of a faff
Thx Olle ,great video, a few more essentials to add to my A7iv and 200-600mm. i did buy recently the Camo cover from Lens Coat, just need to sort my tripod issue out now 👍
I just realised my camo cover is 100% waterproof and is lined with neoprene so it is well protected about 4mm thick, I guess it is a fair purchase after all, like you I get allot of rain here so $130 is no much to protect my investment🤣
I got a 200-600mm f5.6~6.3 zoom on a Sony A7sIII and ever since I carried I took it off the tripod and have been hand carrying it, I notice an ever so so slight play between the lens and the camera body. Wondering if you could corroborate. So when the lens is attached it snaps into place but then if I wiggle the mammoth 200-600 lens there is slight movement-ish (if that is a word) in the flange between the body and lens - very very slight. Pictures seem fine! I put the 24mm f1.4 Gmaster lens and can feel it with that as well, but much less so than with the 200-600 where it is more pronounced. Again, not sure it is a problem but never experienced this with any other camera brand - my first Sony body. Feels like the lens moves a tiny tiny bit where the white dot is on the lens. Again, I went back and put on the 24mm after I noticed it on the 200-600 and it was there at the shorter focal length. Something I had never noticed before! Would you please be able to tell me if this occurs on your rig as well?
Good video. I’m puzzled why Sony doesn’t make their lens foot(s) Arca-Swiss compatible. I have and like the Leofoto replacements for both the 200-600 and 70-200.
Hey Olle love your photos and RUclips content! You inspired me to pick up the Sony 200-600 lens. Have you found that this particular lens doesn’t like ND filters? And if so how have you manoeuvred using it for video wide open? Some of my test photos today showed critical focus being mushy only when the PolarPro ND filter was installed.
Hey! Appreciate that, thank you! I have never tried using ND-filter with this lens. I usually step down the aperture to use correct shutter speed. But If I really want the most shallow depth of field possible, I usually crank up the shutter speed. Sure, the footage doesn't look as smooth as 1/50s would. But work OK anyway :D
Love your channel! Check the Wimberley AP620 lens foot, i use it on the 200-600 and i love it! I have one of those iShoot on the 100-400 and i don't really like it that much. 🙌
Hey Olle, i hope you can help me. I resently bought the Sony 200-600 for my A7 IV with the Gimbal Head PH-10 just like you use it. Using the lens hood i cant balance the lens on the IShoot Lens food. Its too front heavy. Did you maybe had the same problem? If you did - how did you solve that? :D ..Did you unscrew the the front security screw on the bottom of the food to get further back? Still not sure if I should do that.. :) Greetings
@@madeyez1691 I haven’t tried uncrwing it. I mount it as hard as I can and hope for the best… wouldn’t recommend it because it will probably break on me😅 Might try to unscrew it!!
what you call a zoom is not. it's a crop factor. full frame is a larger sensor (24x36) on the sony camera you can activate a crop mode, it will crop like an apsc sensor would. The debate would be, do you need a full frame camera if you only do wildlife, probably not.
the sony a7r4 and the sony 200-600 and in several years that I have been taking photos, a bird in flight has hardly ever focused clearly on me. I sent my entire team to sony Spain on 3 occasions and they told me Everything is ok. Even now I sold the sony 200-600 and bought another new 200-600 and it always fails in bursts. .I think that this camera and this lens are never compatible in burst photos with moving objects and animals. My approximate configuration is: ISO 800 speed 1/1600 or more f10 always because in f6.3 the static or moving photos come out very little sharp I don't know why central focus with tracking which is the last option on the menu. 60mpx extra sharp +5
always makes me smile when i see any video upload from you ✌️
Glad to hear that😍

The tripod plate is a good choice. I built a handle for this plate and the lens. So I'm quite mobile and can certainly take pictures by hand.

Wise and economical choice, I should of just bought a long sleeve Camo shirt vs $120🤣
Haha I love these kind of solutions!!😁

Olle! Your videos are always so beautiful. Perfect exposure and color grading. wonderful!
And i must add that you're videos are one of the best inspirational that I've yet to discover.

Good video! This lens is good at birding! I love this lens
Loved this one Olle! 😃👌
Great video, your photos are awesome
Thanks mate!

Very informative mate!
The 3D camo cover for the lens and tripod is super interesting, and I think I'm gonna take one. Anyway, thanks for the video. See you Olle!!! 🙂
I also use that peak design item. but Slides buckle can be hurt camera and lens. So I covered with some pad on buckles.
Fin video igen!😊
Tack så mycket!

Hi Olle!
Do you use any filters on your 200-600?

Yes, I’m unfortunately having the same issue. Wish there was a longer option to the iShoot foot…😩
@@ollenilssonen so you did unscrew the one of the screw on the front to get further back? Or do you just not use the lens hood?

What do you recommend for video, ball head or gimbal head? Could a ballhead work?
I’d recommend a fluid video head!
Gimbal works OK but it’s tricky to get smooth pans on 300mm+😊
