- 12 days of chaos: Just Stop Oil protests continue to disrupt London. Video shows the scenes in London over the last twelve days as Just Stop Oil and Insulate Britain protestors cause chaos on the capital's roads. It comes after about 25 activists were arrested by police yesterday following a blockade of The Mall outside Buckingham Palace, with the disruption lasting just over two hours before they were eventually all removed.

I think the U.S. house just passed a law that states a driver is not liable if people are blocking the road.

They've purposely blocked emergency vehicles on call before. They're evil.
I completely agree with you. My Mom passed away a couple of years ago due to cancer but when she was still alive I was the one who had to drive her to her chemotherapy appointments. If people liked this had interfered on the roadway I would've gotten out of the car once and explained that I need to get my mother to treatment and to please get out of the way, and if they didn't, game on.

Has anybody wondered just why it is that *these* type of protestors are given the 'softly, softly' treatment by the authorities whilst at the same time the UK Govt. is quickly and quietly passing laws to basically criminalize any form of protest into the future - including (but not limited to), pre-crime extra-judicial containment solutions such as real-time surveillance, and ankle bracelets for 'suspected' trouble-makers?
Just a thought experiment, but could it just be that these CRUSHING new laws have *nothing to do with the trivialities of these so-called 'Climate Protestors',* but EVERYTHING to do with the potential for nation-wide protests as everyday people take to the streets when they've experienced a winter of energy blackouts, mass unemployment and food insecurity? Could it be that these climate protestors are unknowingly playing their part as the 'Useful Idiots' in the UK Govt's plan to outlaw dissent ahead of a fastly approaching time when the masses finally realize they've been dudded by Pro-Globo 'Green-New-Deal' policy makers, and begin to agitate in their MILLIONS?

Of course the plan was always for a socialist totalitarian government and worse yet, it will be global

We need legislation to make it a specific criminal offence to disrupt the nation's infrastructure. The laws we have seem insufficient to deal with this selfish and and foolhardy assault on businesses, emergency services, and the freedom of movement of the general public. In the meantime, the police need to toughen up.
the police are bound by the laws set by Parliament and judicial predecent. Recent case law has held that obstructing the Highway may be allowed in some protest situations and that the police MUST consider the whole situation , and the right to protest, before considering taking any action. we may not agree with this, but the police can't ignore this ruling. New legislation could effectively revoke this, and i note that the Home Secretaty is considering new legislation
