Hey guys! Some people felt that the title was misleading, so it is now changed to "VR UPPER BODY TRACKING FOR CHEAP! | UPDATED VIRTUAL DESKTOP GUIDE" My intention was not to mislead you guys, it was a bad choice of words on my part. Sorry!
It works on quest 2 aswell!!! The elbows dont track. But the walking, sitting, leaning side to side, forward and back do look much better. I 100% reccomend trying it out on quest 2. Very worth it!
@@itzash1 The elbows do not track for me, they just move like they normally would with the controllers. But maybe there is an improvement, it is all just estimation really.
I still think it would be amazing if legs were tracked, if in view of the cameras, have an in between of seeing and not seeing legs, laying down would look a lot better :)
Nice and enjoyable video. However title is a bit misleading. It's not really Free as you need paid software. However, this method does not require any external trackers (which cost pretty penny). This is awesome on it's own without the need to oversell it 😊
@@thelordofgiggles standable has a thing where you can pair its full body estimation with your trackers, i recommend you to see the video talking about standable, its the latest vid i think
Gonna try this out tomorrow with the quest pro. I had to enable forward tracking data for the face tracking already but i was already wondering what steam trackers would mean.
Update: works just fine with the pro. Arms and upper body getting tracked just fine. Legs are just there, but they move natural when physically walking/sitting/lying down
my quest 3 is on its way WOO I got a question though does virtual desktop stream as well as native? I'm aware the quest 3 can stream at 840mpbs. alternatively can you use virtual desktop for the tracking but still just stream natively?
Can you teach us again how to do the joycon to fbt because i tried following your last one and it doesnt work, it either wont connect my controllers, wont stay connected or the trackers are super buggy
for some reason steamvr doesn't let me use this, every single time virtual desktop says that i have to enable an add-on inside steam vr settings for emulate vive trackers and there is only one add-on and is enabled already, i can't find a solution in google :( help

Just tried it! Sooo much better than not using it! I love that I can turn my body now!
Elbows are estimated for the Quest 2! They work a lot better than the normal game’s.

thanks for the feedback! i made the decision to change the title from free to cheap 👍
btw I pair this with standable, it makes it look so much better
How do you pair it? What trackers do you have on that are Virtual Desktop's and which ones are Standable's?

W my bud, Great content, I was just wondering, does it run intensly on your pc? Does it require great specs? does it lower VrChat FPS performance?
nope! it shouldn’t hurt vr performance
Will this work with quest pro? Just got it cuz it has eye tracking which only pro have it in quest lineup
Those settings arent there
it works on quest 2 tho..
fr?
I don't understand why your sub count is so low your content is great

Doesn't work for me. All my "virtual" trackers are on ground

It's slime VR and slime VR wrangler. And since joycons aren't made for body trackers it probably just sucks because of that
Do I need to buy it from the Meta Store or the Steam Store?
Don't buy the Steam version. Hope that wasn't too late.
I have an issue where my legs start floating up to a sitting position even tho I'm standing
In vrchat?
Will work on Quest Pro?
Ah ok cool so u can chose to have legs or no legs if you simply want the upper body tracking
liked and subscribed because i lovr yuo
