Got it. I put about 4hrs into the game. I’ve been exploring everything trying to see what all I can do. Like the locker room or like you said about customizing your Legon’s skill try. Just experimenting with everything.

I love how innovative the combat feels. The chain mechanic feels unlike anything ive ever played.
To me it feels like Wonderful 101 using the right stick to do combos

@@littlejam5984 I had a day one patch but I played the game while waiting for the patch to download in the background I believe the patch fixed some of the out sync voices because when played it before the patch the voices were crazy out of sync, but once i played it with the patch the voices were much more in sync not perfect but a heck of a lot better

Honestly as a PS4 and Switch player, I can say that the PS4 and Switch have the best exclusives.

Absolutely loving Astral Chain so far. However, the dialogue doesn't sync at all with the mouth animations. This applies to both English and Japanese language settings. Not a huge deal, just slightly distracting. Everything else I absolutely love.
Jonathan Soko haha maybe so. Definitely not obsessed with it. Just something I noticed. I don’t remember seeing it in Bayonetta.
Jonathan Soko Haven’t played this game, but lip sync, when off, is maddening to me. It’s distracting and usually a sign of cheap animation with missing attention to detail. Games are an immersive medium and when lip sync or facial animations are off, it breaks immersion. Can Europeans, Canadians, South Americans, Australians etc chime in? Is it just a thing Americans notice? 🤣 It would make sense though if most movies/shows are made in the US and the part of the non-English speaking world is used to dubbed versions, that maybe they’re just overall less sensitive to it. It’s an interesting thought.
I played (and loved) Xenoblade 2 with the English VA so lip sinking really isn't a problem to me anymore, I'll say the sink is better than XC2.
Yeah actually looks rly bad but it’s the switch I’m never surprised by performance issues with games or the system.

It's slow at the beginning but once you get going, the combat is so good.

Never clicked so fast. I’m having a blast. The music, customization options, side missions, collectibles, and most importantly, the combat are A1. Btw as a weeb, i love how anime it is. I know most people said they finished in 20 hours but I’m about 10 hours and feel like I’ve only peeled the surface. I only got two legions at this point. My only gripe is that there are no achievements.
There is achievements it in the options.
Yea check the options menu...alot of achievements there
Mekhs pace they’re not in the traditional Microsoft or Sony (trophy) system. Like they don’t ring when you get them. At this point achievements are well over 10 years old. Nintendo is slacking. No excuses, save them.
I wouldn’t say that astral chain is the best platinum game but I would say that it’s the most innovative game that they’ve made

This game is amazing. I'm really enjoying the story, the futuristic world looks gorgeous, characters and the scenes are so much fun. What a game on switch.

This game is seriously worth every single penny. I have a very hard time putting it down cause I have such a great time with it. I got motion sick at first but found the different camera settings and adjusted it to my liking which I think is awesome. If u r a casual player and or a serious player,the different difficulty settings won't ruin the experience for you. Great game.

These graphics are really good for a switch game. It looks like it could be a ps4 or base xbone platinum game TBH.
No, not really. It already looks significantly worse than Nier in terms of sharpness and frames, and Nier itself isn't very graphically intensive.
It has a good ART STYLE, yes, but the graphics are not that of a typical PS4 AAA game. Calling it like I see it.
I really thought this game was either gonna be a flop or gonna be an average game.
After hearing Sean's praise for this game, I am thinking about getting it (It's too bad I already preordered Link's Awakening :( ).
I bought it today after seeing Walmart was selling all games for $10 cheaper than everywhere else. $50 for this game brand new is totally worth it.

I bought a switch just for this game, and im not regretting it. Im 30hours in and i still couldnt stop. Kinda excited for the post game missions!

I will be buying this game. I better start paying attention to nintendo again cause it seems like they are bringing out some good games that i been wishing for the longest. Now if only they could get a hold of much much older games from NES and SNES era and remaster them. That would be perfect. Happy to see the whole MegaMan X collection and Contra out. Now we need Chrono Trigger, Breath of Fire 1-4 and somebody bring out a real breath of fire 5 as well.

Nothing like Xenoblade. Xenoblade is an RPG/JRPG, where this is a linear-ish jumble of levels. If you haven't played Zelda: BOTW, play that.

Nintendo is killing it with the exclusives. They had more exclusives in the top 10 highest rated games of the year so far by IGN (not that ign is super reputable sometimes). Mario maker 2, Fire Emblem, and now Astral Chain. More coming. Again, proving that processing power isn’t everything. Glad to see ya back on top Nintendo.
I m on casual gaming mode as i intent to finish this asap as Sept gonna be a hectic mth full of hit games. There's No AA in handheld mode & I doubt 10 hours is halfway thru the game.
Game is about 10 to 12 hours long
It's a Platinum game; they're like Star Fox, Pokémon Snap, and Sonic Adventure 1/2 - replaying for mastery is a massive part of the game.
It's an amazing game, Im about 6 hours in to the game and is the best Switch game this year so far

Everytime I hear this games name, I think of Decepticon Astro Train LOL.
The twists caught me damn off guard, they really got the story well written enough to make me suspicious at one point and dared me to hold on to that feeling until later on the story, I really liked the game really got me invested that much

Astral chain is going to have to go guns to beat nier automata though.

@@mcoupe69 i'm pretty sure you can change the difficult to standard after you finish chapter 1. If you're confused i think it's called playstyle in this game not difficult
You can choose standard pt after the prologue is complete. I'd recommend that for anyone who is even half decent at things like DMC or bayonetta

Platinum games can make all these games for Nintendo but couldn’t make one game for Xbox with scalebound. 4 years and these guys couldn’t get it done. But with that being said I’m probably gonna pick it up within the next few months from now

I've been debating on whether or not I should get this game. This video convinced me I should.
I picked up Astral Chain on the release date; however, I have to wait until 09-20-2019 to play on a pre-ordered yellow Switch Lite.
Is this game hard for a casual gamer?
Depends on your difficulty setting, but generally it's more beginner friendly than the Bayonetta games.

@@johnkerkalis6310 Sorry I haven't played any of the Fire Emblem games, but I know they're all turn based and require careful strategy while these kinds of games rely on reaction times and fast button combos. As a quick note in Astral Chain there is a difficulty mode where all the combat is fought for you so you just get to sit back and only do the detective parts if you're really stuck.

@@frezieduh3457 There is alot of games, you can start the "Breath of the wild" and Super Mario Odyssey" but it depends on what genre you like (For example: Hack n Slash, Racing, Platformer, Role Playing Games or Shooters).
My current favorite switch game is BOTW and im still waiting for the sequel. Fire Emblem Three Houses is also one of my favorite games for the switch. ITS THE BEST!

This game. My God. I was not at all ready to love it THIS much. Like when I'm not playing all I can think of is how quickly I can go back to playing it again. It may have the best combat mechanics of any game I've played. It's easily in my top 5 Switch games now. This was out of nowhere for me.

I'm enjoying it so much, the controls are hard to master for sure, but once you're used to them you feel like a god.
Edit: Also they took a Lot of inspiration from eva-n-legion (I mean gelion) for the story.
Really nice video RGT 85. The Controls are awkward and stiff too start with but the more play time the better they will feel. The Dodging is pretty poor and the lack of Jumping is annoying aswell. It's more Exploration than Combat but when you are Fighting is fantastic plus the Story is very engaging and interesting. Overall Astral Chain is a must play game on the Switch guys.
Game like any others is not perfect but is so damn fun!!! I almost didn’t get it but am so glad I did. My second favorite game on the switch next to Zelda
