I think they mean before YOU buy (you always yolo for example). So they give you the chance to know stuff about the game to let you decide if you are really interested, before you buy. At least is what I understood.

Absolutely loving this game. My first Switch title. After 10 hours in, I'm still gripped by the story and game mechanics just as I was at the beginning, if not more. Definitely a must have.

Overwhelmingly beautiful, many games on consoles or PCs with advanced postprocessing and lighting techniques are behind this game, proving that true art and talent transcend them.

Its because most of Platinums hardcore audience dont play this game and therefore dont post amazing gameplay of it like we do all of platinums other games.
We are mostly on the other consoles/PC. Which is why Bayonetta 1, vanquish, nier automata etc still get new gameplay/combo videos every month
I just got done playing it again, I havent played it for about 2 years. I played the whole way through in just a few days, combat is awesome

Switch is the most expensive console to own, most games are full price and never drop. My $3500 pc is cheaper, after buying it I've spent zero :)

I travel a lot by train everyday to go to my university so the Switch is just fantastic for me.
There are regular sales in the eshop and I know where to get cheap games so I couldn't be happier.
+ There are the exclusivities. Zelda, Mario, Xenoblade, etc...
I don't want to emulate because on my pc I prefer playing either mutliplayer or AAA games on ultra since I can't do that on Switch.

That moment when your character’s dodge turns into a *DODGE* along with a some updated combat did it for me. I really love that your character just sucks complete ass at first.

I loved this game so much I started speedrunning the game after casual playthrough ... at a cool 50 hours in the game so far and have loved every minute of it
After playing the first Bayonetta when it first came out and neither hearing or seeing anyone talk about it or even care, it is nice to see Platinum games has become a well known niche studio. People know what they are getting with a Platinum game, and when one is released it is exciting.

I felt the same way at the beginning of the game. once you go on your first mission with your legion that's when the game starts to open up. Would also recommend checking every area before you move on.
I love the art style of Astral chain. Too bad I dont have a switch. But those Nintendo executives are top notch

Yeah I have this game and was surprised how good in turned out to be.
I was starting to get let down by this game after the first few hours but then things really started to open up and varied in the combat and after you unlock the really cool abilities around mid game, it becomes a really awesome experience that made me enjoy it SO much more. I’ll be going back to this game every now and then for a long time.

I think if the 2 player mode supported actual controllers instead of the mini ones and the legions could attack on command, it'd be one of my favourite games
Been playing this game the past few days, it's awesome. Would recommend.
Top tip:
I don't think the game makes this clear enough. Doing the maintainance thing on your legions where you shoot off the pink crystals to clean it is ACTUALLY helpful in combat. The more you clean it, the better it performs in battle and if it gets too corrupted it can suffer actual stat decreases like decreased power and decreased attack speed.
So definitely clean up your legions regularly

I prefer Falcon, tho I did not know he did all the Japanese games....was a fun take on it.
I like the shop at the beginning,it reminds me of purchasing food in 'River City Ransom for the original 'Nintendo I love that game. But here it's so updated ofc. I would definitely buy this game if I had a 'Switch.
Never noticed Falcon was the JRPG guy until I finally got into them at the age of 35 and started watching all the JRPG videos.

The game is a blast, but the saves and files (chapters) managing could be less annoying.

This game is soooooooo good! Just finished file 09 and that fight felt ripped out of Bayonetta. It was more intense than most final boss fights, including Platinum Final bosses
I bought this game and i already finished all the files, and mannnn it’s a great game, some websites were giving bad reviews about the game not being challenging enough or being too short but i said to myself “its a police officer with a stand” and it took me 20 hours to finish but godamn the best 20 hours i’ve had in a while for sure.
The bad reviews at the time were salty Sony Ponies review bombing it bcuz it wasn't released on the normiestation. The countless and pointless negative reviews were removed lol

u have the tmnt game that was shit and the transformers game was a watered down bayonetta...so yes, not all that platinum games make is pure gold..some are silver....

Hmm. Well it came like almost 2 years ago so makes sense plus the game isnt as popular as the other forst party titles. I can see that game bundled to other games for $75 in some areas.

Skywalker Lion rabbids is great. Very underrated game for switch imo. One of my favorites. Astral chain is incredible too though.
This was the first game I got for my Nintendo switch, and I have not regretted the purchase. I sincerely hope there is a part two to this game. I haven't beaten it yet but it's just been amazing overall.
Glad to hear newcomers enjoying the game. You HAVE to do yourself a favor at read through forums and videos of the crazy combo potential that Astral Chain has. It’s insane and on top of an already great combat gameplay, the soundtrack is just icing on the cake.

@@darkscorpionomega ahh, pretty good lead into the game. well wouldn’t want to spoil anything in particular but if your interested in the whole lore.
You should be given some exposition in around case file 6 or so. You’ll need to input 4* digit code, to unlock special files. (The key to get the code is using IRIS on your twin.) pretty sure at that point you should have a specific upgrade with your IRIS that’ll allow you to see more information of people. If you don’t have that specific upgrade after getting a “rank up” to your officer title, you’ll be given a second chance to read through the lore files later on.
I still want this game. Both my friend and I. And we have Switches. So yea, I'm angry I dont have this yet. But thanks for the video. Hopefully I get this soon.

@@CrolyGiart Glad im not the only one who was iffy on Nier. The game isn't terrible but it is not what everyone was raving about. The combat and enemies can get confusing at times and the UI was absolute garbage. Having to open a the menu everytime I wanted to use an item? I could barely find my objective on the map. There's some other stuff that really bugged me but I can't remember any of it. The game at least has a good story and nice characters so that'll probably drive me to finishing the story.

Just in case anyone is wondering if they should buy this: Flacon only played 8 hours, the game for me was around 40.
The game continue evolving throughout. For me this was the biggest surprise of the last two years. Like Falcon said if you own a Switch get THIS!
I’m definitely going to pick this game up at some point very soon, this review has just confirmed that for me. The story looks very interesting and the mechanics of the game intrigues me.

Hey Falcon! Finally, I've been watching my favourite RUclips channels for the past couple days to see if they posted a review of Astral Chain yet. I bought the game upon release and fell in love with it in the first 20 minutes as well and I was wondering "Come on, guys, where are you? make no mistake the controls are a bit confusing cause one button summons another button un summons one controls your legion one activat's its Trait and the other makes your character fight its all on the shoulder buttons mostly during heated battled I have accidentally preformed moves I did not want to cause I forgot what buttons did what .
and when you get the beast Legion summon it and press activate button wile close to it for something I was not expecting . Your welcome!
