Hello Fiona I have not seen you for ages and I am so pleased to see you doing your teaching all things we can make and you do it so easy. I just came across at leased 2 books I made well over 2yrs ago and it was your tutorials I watched . This book is adorable as usual. Thanking you .x
You are such a wonderful teacher, you make me believe I can do things. Thank You, it’s been several years since I have had any will to do anything with my Stash of beads so when I saw you doing hat pins
My oh my, you are so creative, and quite a joy to watch! Love watching your tutorials, and from time to time, I make some lovely crafts. Thank you Fiona! Angel
Beautiful Project Mrs. J. I like those type of projects they look SO pretty when they are done. I want to get back into my crafting, I have a few projects here and there. But if I bring anything more into the house my mother will "through a fit!" YES, I am one of those who STILL live with mom.
Beautiful Fiona, absolutely gorgeous. I hope your daughter succeeds in whatever she applies herself to. I feel exactly the same way towards our goverment take care lovely lady xxxx
That's beautiful Fi, and it took no time at all and you know what ... poof.... it's simply beautiful right before my eyes ... your an incredible crafter....💕💕😊
Fiona I had to share! bought 5 yards of lace trim, a yard and a half of lace fabric and 7 packets of trim for less than $15!!! And this is expensive stuff! I had a coupon plus there was a sale on the fabric. Thank you for teaching us all about bargain shopping! I love you so much! I tell my friends about you!
fred6059 That is so sweet of you to say and I do appreciate it. Always go for the bargains and you can also barter! I do it all the time, we Brits have done this for years. If you don't ask, you don't get eh? lol :) xx
Beautifully made, what a lovely thing to own to a sewing enthusiast, a beautiful keepsake too from Grandma to Grandaugter or mother to daughter! A real treasure to keep and love! Tyfs x
That last lace is the icing on the cake! Delicious! Love watching these older videos. So much fun to hear you rummaging in the background searching for "that something else it just needs". And it turned out beautiful.💕😇
Fi, you are still the best...been at it the longest, and still the best! I haven't visited your channel in a few years, no reflection on you, but life got in my way... Gosh this is a gorgeous piece. I'm going to make a miniature of this as a needle book for all my needles that I keep loosing. I have a lot of videos that catch up on... Dale from Canada
I love that you don't really measure anything! I think it is a collassal waste of time! You're so energetic and I love your aesthetic! Thank you... I'm subscribing immediately!
How Beautiful Your Book is, I wanted to make one for myself ever since I saw the one your friend made for both you and your daughter, but I did not know how to start it and after watching this video you showed me how,...Thank You for sharing your great work, I just love watching you make all these beautiful things, I wished you were over here in Australia so I could go and get some lessons from you ha... keep up the great work I love it.
Thank you Fi for your enthusiasm and skill. I have a heap of gorgeous shabby chic crafts I have made by following your wonderful tutorials. I live in New Zealand and thoroughly enjoyed your holiday in Scotland with your friends too. So glad I found you. Keep up the good work. You are a star.
As usual gorgeous work. LOL quiet funny I just finished one :) - love making these kind of projects because they are not only beautifu but also functional. Love how you layered all the materials and laces. TFS hugs Patrizia
Hi jennings644, from florida USA😆!!!! I love to watch you, I'm an artist as well, I do all sorts of things. unfortunately I have artist block right now but I'm trying and I must say watching you not only your talent but your outgoing personality I just love!!! thank you for both!!!! Have a beautiful day!!!
Fi, as I was watching and you picked up a new glue stick at least twice, I thought I should tell you a trick about adding a glue stick. Melt the end of the new glue stick on the tip of your gun then press it in the channel to the end of the old stick and it won't fall out while the old stick is finishing out and you have a continuous stream of glue. Lovely book, I might try using some old lace edge pillow cases that are worn and keep that lace hemming. That section of the cases is quite lovely and in great condition although the body of the cases is dingy or has a spot.
I just watched the video and I really enjoyed it. You can tell how much you love your craft. It is beautiful! I want to make one or something like this for myself. I love shabby. I love how you presented this for everyone. Thank you!
I love your book Fiona....I watched a video of your friend Wendy making one too...so now i want to have a go at making one myself... know I can get the beautiful laces from your store so I'm on the lookout now for doilies...can't see them anywhere here...Thanks for sharing...and if you do get that beautiful white material back in, I'll have some please! x
Absolutely gorgeous work Fiona. Love this shabby pin book. It's my style. Love all the laces, trims, pearls and flowers you used and layered. TFs HUgs Beate
Beautiful, I wondered what to do with all those rectangular doilies I have. now I have new projects to complete, thank you very much for your wonderful ideas.
This Stick Pin Book was beautiful and I'm sure your "friend" will love it!! The lace fabric you used on the inside was very delicate and will be elegant against your stickpins! I also felt the last lace added to the outside completed the project and gave it a finished look. My son did a lot of things I was never found of, Ran with the Bulls in Spain, swam with sharks. He was older when he married and i'm blessed that he has settled down. I was worried as he did these things, but was happy he was able to do those things he wasn't likely to do once he married. Our children never stop surprising us as they grow. They need to do these things that are much harder to do when they have other responsibilities Tfs :).
Wow Fi I ❤️ the book how gorgeous. It’s fantastic. I’m going to try this . The lace and fabric is beautiful. U make things looks so easy. Thanks for the inspiration.

Hi Fiona! I love this video!! After watching it, I got busy and made one, too. My book is a tad larger due to the size of the daily, but I had a ball making it and was thrilled with the outcome. I lined the inside with lace and also put a pocket on one side. Thank you for showing us how to make beautiful things like this! You're such an inspiration to me!
Sooooooo....pretty...I loooooovvvvveee your tutorials. Somehow I found one of them perusing thru..and am hooked!!! That last bit of lace on the outside is gorgeous....I can't wait to try this.😊
Boy have u been busy. You have made some really amazing things. What a great idea! Don't worry your daughter will be fine although I'm sure its scarry thinking about it. I think its great that she's fulfilling all your dreams b4 setteling down. I tell my daughter that all the time. Hugs marnee lyn

Heather Smedley Its a simple piece but looks just as gorgeous without all the fancy trimmings that often hide what one has made or makes it look OTT :) xx
I want to try something similar to your book with doilies my grandmother brought from Huddersfield back in 1920 when they came to the USA. I want to do the book to put in my mom's and gram's jewelry for my daughter. Do you have any suggestions as what I could back the doilies with so they are stabile enough to hold broaches pins etc? I have been thinking wool felt or linen. I love your book and you have got my mind in a whirl. Thanks so much for your tutorials
Jo Hall I prefer to use a canvas because it will last many many years but felt would work :) Sounds like a great idea and I hope you share it when its done, or send me a pic if you can :) xx

Any ideas what to do with hat pins apart from keeping them in a book. My mother gave me about 15 of them
Suggestion have glass or bowl s of ice water for safety reasons if you get glue on your fingers hot georgios
What is the best kind of material for the very bottom piece?
What is a pin book? What is it used for? It's pretty but I can't imagine its use?
The pins are generally used for wedding hats or handmade flowers as decoration. The pin book is just a place to keep them in and can be given as a gift to another crafter etc so they can use it. Hope this helps x
For your sewing needs. Pins, needles etc. It can be taken with you on holiday.
