Simply gourgious Lydia, I love making all types of fabric books, heck anything out of fabric since I made a living out of it designing for many fashion houses. So I know the joy of creating these wonderful book that make things looks difficult when it is an easy thing to do. But we must remember too, that every one don't know how to sew and might have a little fear not making it look like or come out to be like what they viewed in the vid they saw. But you did an awesome job congrats on a beautiful stick pin book, tfs! God Bless In His Grace, Lorisa
you're so right it may look intimidating but it's really easy, must just push the fear aside and give it a go and surprise yourself when you see how easy it is. I think the most difficult part is searching for the right laces to embellish it. TFW hugs
Amazingly beautiful. Oh my goodness. I love it. It's so vintage. You are fabulous. You mentioned a RAK. I know the person who receives your book will be totally blown away. Tfs. Hugs. Marcia
Hi Lydia.....your stick pin books are BEAUTIFUL.....I love the black and white, but the white one is gorgeous too.....I think I like the black and white because it is smaller and I wouldn't use the bigger one....I love them both. The little charms are cute....the scissors and the machine....that measuring tape is great. You/ve got the best embellies....Great job Lydia...TFS, hugs, sharon :)

Hi Steph, you can so a straight stitch so easy. Put your needle through the fabric then go up and down, up and down. LOL If you have a sewing machine it will go a lot faster but a straight stitch works. It's just two pieces of fabric and batting. You can do it, easy peasy. TFW hugs
hee hee, i know how to do that kind of stitch :). i took sewing lessons once, but just need practice. gotta buy a sewing machine too, hee hee. i always have a fear that the stitching is not closed correctly and it will start to unravel. thanks again for sharing!
Hi Lydia -These are fabulous! Wow, wow! The first one is simply stunning! Looks like a lot of work went into it! The black and white one is beautiful too. Love the addition of the button card with the buttons. The fabric is gorgeous! So inspiring girly! (Though I'm pretty sure I'm too intimidated to try this. LMAO) Hugs ;) xo
You can do it Karen! make the small one first and you'll see how quickly it comes together, after you get a feel for the project you can make a bigger one, seriously the hardest part is looking through your stash for goodies to embellish with. TFW hugs
OMGosh, Lydia both are just stunning!!! Did you sew everything or use hot glue as well???? This must of taken forever…..I'm speechless, it's so beautiful!!!! TFS….hugs!!!
Hi Lori, They are so easy to make, 10 to fifteen minutes for the book with out embellishments, the hardest and time consuming part is sorting through your embellishments and choosing what you want to use. If you are going to stitch it by hand it will take a little more time. I used a combo of all you mentioned. I machine stitched the fabric together then hand stitch the outer lace because I felt like sewing by hand, I find it relaxing. I used fabri tac glue to apply the center laces (down the middle of the spine) and hot glue for everything else =D Try making the smaller one, you'll be surprise at how quickly it comes together. TFW hugs
Hi Lydia, Oh WOW!!! Those are beautiful! I love everything about them alot! Now do you sew or glue the snaps & trims on, I did hear you say you used hot glue for the measuring tape. I want to give it a try now. I don't think I have any appliqués, but Im sure I can come up with something. Just so GORGEOUS!!! TFS, Janice
Hi Janice, I used hot glue and fabri tac I think that's what it's call to apply the laces, except the one around the edge of the book, I wanted to sew by hand but you can machine stitch or use hot glue. If you don't have enough appliques you can use doilies and pretty wide laces =D Hope you make one, I'd love to see it. TFW hugs
Lydia !!!! How are you I'ts been some time since we spoke. I pray all is well with you and your family...Don't you just love making these. I've been making them for quite some time. Take care and be well BTW These are so beautiful LaSharown
These are both stunning Lydia! I love the white one with all the tonal layers and the black and white is beautiful.....especially the cover fabric! Wow! Just gorgeous!
