Great video, actually perfect timing. Was throwing a Pistol Pete in the Gizzard Shad for largemouth for the first time today on the delta, and to my surprise, my first big bite was a striper! A PB for me actually, not a monster but a good sized fish. Caught it on that faster retrieve just like you mentioned. Thanks for the tips guys
@@indeeponthedeltawithstevec5997 yes my boat is Daddy papa named after dad he took the time to take me fishing in 1973. I bought my cuddy cabin 5 years ago and spent 2 years with my dad on boat before he passed. but great memories on the boat . I talk to Alan on email , but watch you every week. happy to subscribe. great video's and editing,
That’s good info I also have the m1 with Lexa300 never hit on a glide bait yet, lost a few baits wasn’t very happy…tried twin sloughs mostly the shore by the a.bridge..definitely not giving up
What's a suggestion on a good launch spot for stripper? I have been launching out of Buckley cove but unfortunately don't have the biggest or fastest boat and would like to try a new spot to have a better percentage at catching stripper.
I would take the delta loop off of Hwy 12 and try and find a spot on the channel. Collinsville area is also a good area but you would have to drive around and find a spot. Rio Vista has a public dook that they also catch fish off of. Good luck and let me know how you do.
Dan is the guy I talked about. He has retired. I had The Bass Hole do my last reel maint. He sends them to a guy names chris. If you are around Sac. fishermans warehouse has a in shop guy.
@@indeeponthedeltawithstevec5997 Thanks for response. i am pretty close to sac. How's the service price in sacramento? Is there any information i can look at?
@@fishingjungle9214 I don't know about there prices but I think you can call the shop and see when the repair man is in and go in and talk directlt to the guy that will be doing the work.
Steve tanks for post your videos and all your información tanks for your time
Thanks again for the support and good luck.
I’ve been intrigued by the glide baits for sometime, so I will definitely be investing in one. Thanks for sharing Steve.
You can't go wrong with a R2S 168 S-waver in light trout for both LM and Stripers.
@@indeeponthedeltawithstevec5997 ordering one right now. 💪
Good stuff! JR. Knows the delta… real good fisherman. Great info on the baits thx
Thanks Robert. Just need the wind to stop.

At 8 minutes and 19 seconds look next to junior in the water a good size bass swims next to him quickly
Good info!!!!😀
Time for me to make another trip up. haha
Now is the time. Stripers are still really hot.
Love your videos. Been catching tanks this week. Do you have an email to send bass reports to?
Congrats Cajun, send reports to scooper9561032@gmail.com Thanks.
What was the weight of the striper at 5:00? Thanks.
17lbs. A great battle.
Hey I’m taking my son camping over by pirate slayer from Thursday to Sunday is that Stryper action going on right now?
As off today it's really good. You will not have to go far. Lot's of fish around the Mac.

Try B&W or Pirar's Lair on the Mokelumne River. Russo's if your fishing Franks Track. Good luck and thanks for watching.

Hate to even say it but the Ima glide flukes are awesome for huge bass. Imagine stripers would like them.
I know striper like flukes. I need to try the Ima glides. What sizes do they come in?
@@indeeponthedeltawithstevec5997 7 inch and they're under $20

Are you guys using a leader or tying direct to bait?
Depending on water conditions both. I like 6 ft. of 25 lb mono leader to 65 lb braid.

168 do not come with 3x I bend those stock hook out I always cheng mine
Boy those s wavers dont cast for shit they helicopter and spin like mad. A barrel swivel, leader and snap is a must to prevent twist
