- Part 1. This is a compilation of guests who suffered the most during Philomena Cunk interviews. They were asked ridiculous questions that didn't have real answers. Like and comment to support their tortured souls.
Who is Philomena Cunk? She is an inspiring journalist who does interviews with experts on her famous shows like Cunk on Earth, Cunk on Britain, Cunk on 2019, Cunk on Shakespeare.

I love it

She was the annoying persistent one and she managed to make it seem like he was the annoying one by irritatingly saying “yeah 😑” how genius is she???? Lol😂😂😂😂
How does the guy understand her question immediately and reply so coolly… amazing
"One of the biggest rock or pop bands of the time was Blur"

@@paul-antonywhatshisface3954 hard learnt lesson…😔
no idea how her guests don't just crack up laughing. the strength.
Or probably because the setting was quite serious, they'd rather be mad thinking they've been made fun of. I'm guessing they didn't realize what's the show about. Philomena Cunk is new to me, I don't really know much about the show.
They undoubtedly do, but that’s all edited out.
Maybe, just maybe because it’s all scripted and they know what’s coming retard?
I thought they were acting xD
I read somewhere that she asks real and boring questions for a while to tire them down... Then proceeds with the random shenanigans. That's why you don't see her laughing either.
I feel like the words “my mate Paul” act as a warning for upcoming weirdness
It's a rip off of Ali G saying "me mate Dave"
He really needs a holiday
How her mate Paul is still alive gets me.
I have to applaud the interviewees for maintaining character when they obviously must know who she is
Do they? I think some should know, but others may be so above pop media and tv and their social interactions probably are not about the BBC new comedian. If you think about it how famous was borat before borat I, but then after that borat II, and there are ppl that probably today would get tricked into the mockumentary.
I don't think they do...
I can accept that they are above watching telly etc but other people will have been involved that do watch telly.....of course they could be in on the joke!
ruclips.net/video/8BsHd52ric0/видео.html
She'd have to be a Oscar winning actress to pull this off
They all 100% know it is a parody, they see the scriot in advance and are told what the programme is. It takes a ton of editing to get the reaction looking like they don't but they all pull it off very well
The interviewees are always told beforehand that Cunk is "stunningly dense." So they're a little bit in on the joke, but it's enough of a heads-up to let them keep their composure. So no, they don't do multiple takes bc of laughter.
Is that explained somewhere? Thank you
Source?
I've heard they're told to respond seriously but as if they're talking to a five-year-old.
@@SMSCOOBY71 Charlie Brooker and Diane Morgan do a Q & A session for 'Cunk on Earth' I think for BFI stated the people being interviewed are told that the person interviewing them is a bit dense and they should talk to her as if they are talking to a five year old. They also admitted that a large number of these people have by now heard of her or seen some of her interviews, but they still claim that occasionally they run into some intellectual expert that had never heard of her and don't wat h television/streaming shows.
Thank you.
Guests trying to remain professional in the face of Philomena's inanity is the charm of her interviews. I imagine the producers telling the the experts, "Just be yourself, if you can."
I initially read that as "Philomena's insanity," and I went "Yeah, that's right."
By Ron always gets me.
me too 😂
I'd love to meet "My mate Paul"! What a journey he has had so far in his life....
Wouldn’t want to be her ex-boyfriend Shawn, though…
just don't have a screwdriver with you; i imagine that might be a tad triggering...
He wasn't the same after prison.
Poor Paul ☹️
Philominia also absorbing the mindsetting of her quests. Brilliant way to increase your comedy level
Mindset, not mindsetting.

this woman is a gem
The ability of this woman not bursting out laughing makes me wonder if she’s channeled into another persons when she’s doing a comedy sketch or a show.
Also may I say, the reactions of many experts here are incredibly British. They were confused but we’re trying not to act too obvious to seem rude in front of the camera. Essence if the show truly
I think she is channeling into another person as that is kind of what actors do?
They're not confused, they're all in on the joke
I guess she's channeling into being a comedian who... gasp... manages to do comedy.
She is actually not a comedian but an incredibly dense person....
Bbc has worked this show around her eccentricity and the interviewees are informed of her peculiarities beforehand
We need bloopers for this. I am very sure most of them have burst out laughing.
They are quite careful not to show them but they definitely exist.
It's a bit like Between Two Ferns, and they had a gag reel. ruclips.net/video/wNkjjxlgw0Q/видео.html
"No i think that's a stretch" .. Perfect honest response. Poor old Paul though he seems to have a bit of the old rotten luck.
Why is this woman not more famous? She's hilarious in a world full of really crap wanna be comedians who seem to get all the gigs.
Craig's list Ali G is what she is.
Amy Schumer🙄

It takes a special kind of density to stun your victims with wisdom like hers.
As a Brit, I’m beyond proud to show anything by Diane Morgan as a shining example of our unique humour
And yall world domination😅 srsly look at what yall did to like the indians or the afrikaners
unique humor? Just tune in to old American tv programs from the 50s and this is not unique.
Well, of course, there’s no more dragons, George killed them. And these are supposed to be experts?🙄
Experts will often maintain an open mind where lesser minds need certainty.
Dragons are dinosaurs with wings
"Well he didn't kill the dragon."
"👁👄👁"
That was genius.
The war of the roses lady is really really impressive, in actually offhandedly complying with Philomena's impossible requests. Amazing. Philomena still manages to make comedy out of it, which is a testament to her talent, but my goodness, her subject is the winner in that bit.
"10 seconds? I only need 4."
Too damn sharp!
2:48 that expert is my favorite. He looks so pissed but he is totally into the joke
He looks like hes about to warn her to leave the room
He's my favourite too. He keeps up with her so well. Soviet Onion bit is so good and his dead serious tone at I love ABBA...
I hope she never stops doing this character and I’m glad she enjoys doing it so much
Diane Morgan explained that the speakers/experts are fully aware that they are participating in a comedy show but they do not know the questions that will be asked. The producers ask them to respond to Philomena as if she were a child and to try to keep their seriousness. But they often explode with laughter, and these moments are cut in the editing!
That LSD story killed me 😆 🤣
"my mate Paul" is the new "Picture it, Sicily, 1922"
Golden Girls?
?
"My mate Paul told me" the nasty side of LSD.
"My mate Paul told me" a prison male rape joke.
I love her deep digs at disestablishing all the discrimination and hypocrisy that are entrenched in British society to make clear points. All starting from her mate Paul.
"You've got a few more seconds..STOP" 😂😂😂
Paul can't catch a break holy shit
She's like if Mr Bean was a professional interviewer
Yeah or she could be a perfect female host for Top Gear
Prof Greg Dart honestly answering “William Godwin” and the “How did it end?” had me laughing.
Who's Ron? 😂 That one killed me
I am on the floor right now! How she keeps a straight face is beyond me. Such incredible comedic talent 😂
Shes not comedic, she has a lack of knowledge abd common sense
@@NitaSteyn-kn2gphuh? Do you mean the character called Philomena Cunk portrayed by the comedian Diane Morgan? The commenter you responded to was referring to the comedian, Diane Morgan, who wrote and portrayed the character, as being a comedic talent.
Fun fact: she interviewed them normal questions and after while she starting saying her iconic questions/words just to take them out of guard…I don’t know how they just start laughing
And the dragon, was threatening St George… or do we just, jump to conclusions, because of the way the dragon looked? 💀
That 'dragon' btw is metaphorically a demon btw
"Who was that poet that signed his poems 'by Ron'." 🤣 I'm dead 🤣
I just loved the look on the guests face....and then the "Nantucket" ummmm poem

this woman is a gem. The words “my mate Paul” always proceed a masterpiece of a story.
Hmm.
My favorite part is 1:25 when she argues with the guy if his topic is "significant" or "important" but not both xD
It feels kind of philosophical 😂
I am absolutely in LOVE with this character. I ugly laugh at almost everything she says.
I had to watch these episodes multiple times because I was laughing so hard, out loud, I’d miss the ensuing interview.
I've barked laughter, farted and started crying all at once from shit like her describing the Titanic as a single-use submarine. I couldn't breathe. I'm usually the one who gets those reactions from people when I talk. She's legend.
"Chewbacca?"
"Nah that's stretching it."
🤣 when you can't beat her might as well join in the craziness
The Romantics historian genuinely sounds like he's about to quietly break down crying any moment
Paul has really lived, hasn't he?
When she said "Chewbacca?" I had to pause the video bc I was laughing so hard. 😂😂😂😂
I just wanna meet her mate.... Paul. He has lived a wild ass life and I wanna be his friend
I have SO much admiration for the way they handled these questions and "misunderstandings". Admittedly there were lots of footage of people breaking up but it's been edited out naturally. This was covered in interview. Nevertheless priceless moments 😂
If I was a cameraman filming this...I'd lose my job so easily...I would be cracking up so much with these interviews....such learned and experienced folks...and the way that she just assumes that she's qualified to challenge them...I LOVE British humor!!!
I’d love to see bloopers of this show 😂
Generally there aren't any.
The experts and interviewees are all told beforehand about Philomena but they don't know what she'll ask, so largely it's all improvised and their reactions to her questions are all genuine 😂
I think this woman is the cure for depression.
Its just a theory.
But I think I'm onto something.
i am convinced that the guests had no idea what was about to happen, they were just told that they had an interview and that they were to be as serious as possible
they were aware it was for a comedy but didn’t know what questions she was going to come out with
@@starbw1 amazing
I seriously cannot get enough of these. My depression cured
As someone called Paul I can only dream to have a life as exciting as her mate
she's such a queen
Her guests are so extraordinarily brilliant to meet her absurd requests with credible answers in a flash! And not a quiver on their faces!
Antagonist Lover, thanks so much for this mate…laughed during this entire compilation
Brilliant 😂
“Bleh, bluh” is such a thought-provoking interchange.
Man, The Daily Show should hire her to do their remote interviews. She isn't super well known in America, so she could catch a lot of people off guard for a season or two.
I love his come back about Nantucket. Like straight faced.
“How did that end again?”😂😂
I absolutely love and adore her
Kudos to the interviewees too, really!! 👏👏👍👍
This show is a gem so we’re *trying* not to binge 😂
There once was a man from Nantucket
Who kept all his cash in a bucket.
But his daughter, named Nan,
Ran away with a man
And as for the bucket, Nantucket.
Oh, I don't think that's the version she means somehow...
By Ron
@@Zaluskowsky HIs question, "how did it end?" was very smart.
There once was a man from Nantucket,
Blah blah blah
Something about a cock in a bucket.
This is the version I learned; but limericks are famously "rude," so I imagine that most of the Man from Nantucket's verses are more like Paul's
Anything following “my mate paul” is an absolute disaster
"When I looked up, Paul was crying" 😂😂😂
My memory of this show is a complete blair.
OMG I love her. amazing delivery.
1:02 that whole sequence will never not make me laugh 😂
I could watch this all day
Years from now, Philomena will reveal that her mate "Paul" is actually Bob Mortimer
The editing is amazing
Who is (w)'Ron'?
he didn't kill a dragon, he found a dinosaur skeleton and then waited a while then claimed he killed it. brilliant really
Poor old Paul has been through the wringer.
Paul needs someone to talk to about his experiences fr
"who's ron" lmfao
"is that Byron?"
The fact she just randomly whips out a stopwatch..oh gosh...😂😂😂😂
The bit with Chaucer and the story about her mate Paul, honestly made me cry laughing the first time I saw it.
GREAT editing
Like if you also want to hear the detailed story of the man in prison who wore a bib round his backside.

She's brill...so skewed, so hilarious !!
This woman is a master of her art. LOL
I absolutely adore her!!!
it must be very hard to not laugh from her questions
“By Ron” 😂
I love how the interviewee considered her question and answered them seriously in her perspective. 😂
I love the guests. They are very often stern, but still very polite.
I love the constant references to “my mate Paul”.
