"How do we know that if we give a load of money to starving people, that they are not gonna blow it all on food"? Epic!
Lol, I hadn't spotted the way the question ended the first time I watched it, thanks for that. @WolvoExPunk1: if someone gives a pound to charity and half of that pound goes towards flash cars and houses for corrupt leaders, but the other half gets spent on food for someone that is really hungry, was it worth giving that pound or not?
Yeah, you're the butt of that joke.
I think we understand today some of the children's charity money goes on prostitution, what a wonderful world.
Richard mentioned an intermediary. How much of the donated money goes into the intermediary's bank account before any of it is spent on the food the intermediary is supposed to distribute amongst the starving?
@@dougie1968 Probably not as much as we would like.....But, this is about Philomena Cunk, not politics.
"Why do celebrities give up the time and ask nothing in return. In a way that people that actually need to be paid could never do." Criminally underrated line
explain please
@@AG-gv9cb What she's basically saying is that we paint these people as heroes for giving up their time to help charity, but they can afford to give up some time and do some unpaid work because they're rich.
@@him050 Also taking a potential job away from those who could do with the gig. All in the name of good charity, of course
Some food for thought. We as humans have messed up priorities. We value those people so highly that can sing and act really well. The extent to which we do this is so insanely disproportionate if you think about it rationally.
Your Bob Geldoff helped destroy South Africa, so your beloved Nubians can now genocide the white farmers, just as you Brits murdered 28.000 white christian South African children in British Made concentration camps only 120 years ago - oh yes, we know all about your British deadly humanism and tactical solidarity campaigns.
"My mate Paul " always ends up in the most hilarious and disgusting stories 🤣
there is a Q&A with the BFI that's on youtube where Charlie Brooker mentions how bleak Philomena's mate Paul's life is.
||...The same Paul who was in a terrible accident...||
Paul’s got some unfortunate life 😂 sounds like me but without the weird bits
Reminds me of Ali G's mate Rainbow Jeremy who smoked his own home grown....

Love how she goes in and out of proper pronunciation when it suits her as a power move in conversation, so genius
That accent is godawful; but yes, the writing is good
@@jjr1728 that's the attraction.
@@jjr1728 What's wrong with her accent?
@@jjr1728 You know whats godawful? Judging someone by their accent.
@@PH5221 Keep barking for me you utter subhum....
"rinib, rispica, rispeba and rispicaca" she never fails to catch me offguard. 🤣
I laughed so hard at this point I almost died
"Comic releff"
"bejinning" 😂
Rispicaca has me in stitches!
This is total comedic thinking outside the block.
*nispicaca
"My mate Paul" is our 1-second warning to tell grandma to cover her ears. 😂
I've always believed that "Bob" is short for "Bobert." Philomena gets it.
No, actually it's short from Kate
Blackadder fans will get it🤣
Billiam.
Bobert Gandalf?
Paul really is a dumbass, but you gotta love him
“I killed John Bishop…”
“Did you?”
😂
Her eyes and when she reacted to that 👀
She's the total package 😅
Hahahhaha she is so funny
And then he says it again!
"Mother Teresa once said "Give until it hurts". Which is probably the sexiest thing a nun has ever said."
"Sisters! Make 'em holy!"
Oh my fricking god i laughed so hard at that line
Mother Theresa was not a friend of the poor, she was a friend of poverty. She said that suffering was a gift from God.
She spent her life opposing the only known cure for poverty, which is the empowerment of women and the emancipation of them from a livestock version of compulsory reproduction. And she was a friend to the worst of the rich, taking misappropriated money from the atrocious Duvalier family in Haiti (whose rule she praised in return) and from Charles Keating of the Lincoln Savings and Loan. Where did that money, and all the other donations, go? The primitive hospice in Calcutta was as run down when she died as it always had been she preferred California clinics when she got sick herself and her order always refused to publish any audit.

loafer sheffield apparently Christopher Hitchens was a big fan
This is some of the sharpest. cleverest and funniest writing around at them moment. To be able to perform it so perfectly is almost unbelievable. Utterly brilliant creation.
how do the gusts keep a straight face?
bobert geldof
You guys are going to be so disappointed to learn what 'multiple takes' are.
Who wrote this ?
Charlie Brooker, Joel Morris, Jason Hazeley and Diane Morgan as far as I know.
'chugging' = "charity mugging"..lol.. we can agree that Philomena was excellently cast.. can't imagine anyone delivering this better.
I've been suffering depression this week...until I started watching Cunk. I've not cried with laughter for about a year..
Hey me too!
Sounds like you've ODed on good comedy for a while rather than be depressed. They are similar.
yeah its like you cruise through youtube day after day wondering why you are wasting your life but its to find this, worth it.
Ya this week discovering Cunk got me out of a funk :)
Depression ain’t real. Fix your life and depression will go. It’s not a disease, it’s a state of mind.
She is superb! Oh my goodness I have just discovered her and I cant stop watching. It a combination of complete ignorance laid out as erudition with a mask of seriousness. She is just so talented.
You'll never tire of her. You'll cry. You'll have such sore sides. She's brilliant.
Me too! Me too!
As one of the funniest people on Earth, she should have her own TV show.
It's like a British slightly more sane steve brule
Getting people interested through comedy too. She is a comedic genius
I love the slow motion gazing up at the sky. It’s exactly what everyone in bbc documentaries does!
“My mate Paul” has started to make me giggle uncontrollably.
I never expected that phrase to get to me.
Diane Morgan is so wonderfully funny 😁😂
Her delivery of every line is absolutely on point.
I THOUGHT HER NAME WAS ACTUALLY PHILAMINA 💀
@@GooseWithAPassport RIP to everyone who thought Philomina was a real person
@@GooseWithAPassport I wanted her name to actually be Philamina Crunk so badly
Three comments in a row who can't spell Philomena, even though the name is in the title of the video!
@@1fightdragons I’m dead relieved that I can spell Fillameena proper like 👍
She should definitely host the next Golden Globes
Not possible, as the American audience and probably many of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association wouldn't get the humour/satire.
@@John-re2qw I hate to admit it, but your right. Americans are not to great when it comes to sarcastic dry humor.
She should and she could. Don't forget its all scripted and her delivery is beyond par. Americans do get it...she's been trending on Netflix for weeks... highly rated.
@@CreeBreej I don't know, I grew up in Canada and always thought I didn't get British humour, but I get her's!
I second that
We definitely need a lot more of Philomena Cunk.😅
we need more people like her these days, she gives me a lift.
Oh yes, she certainly lifts a part of me.
Omg it's Paul. You do some disgusting things mate.
Health warning: DO NOT watch this video with a broken rib, back strain, or anything that hurts when you laugh. I've just been through almost six minutes of agony!
I had a similar experience. My brother brought me the Sunday Sport Book of Headlines!
oh yes my ribs do tend to pop outta place when overdosing on cunk
Spot on!!! And NEVER, EVER eat or pour renai sauce, don't drink/swallow, chew gum or toothpicks, apply makeup, etc., while watching! Overwhelmingly helpless laughter caused several viewers to choke/gag/stab eyes out -- even accidental lobotomies via toothpicks!
🤯 👀 😱 😮
Too late.
greatest reporter of all time.
No, she isn’t. Otherwise she would have known that mother Theresa was a sadistic psychopath. That was already known and proven by the university of Montreal at that time.
3:10 the sincere appreciation for being told she asked an interesting question....🤣🤣🤣
That gets me so much!!!!! 😂😂😂😍😍😍
I had to watch that reaction twice. Loved it! 😂😂❤
and his response makes her lose character for a second I think lol
Only just discovered this lady/show. Brilliant writing & performance.
I have to own up that I’ve only found her and I have to say I can’t get enough of her. Cunk will know what I mean
Ah yes her infamous mate Paul 😂, love when she brings him up for some outlandish story of his
I was thinking the very same thing 😂
She's a genius. It takes a genius to ask what seem like 'dumb' questions in a way that trips the great minds of this time.
"And it was a huge success from the very bejinning"
That cracked me up way more than it should
The way his eyes go from her to staring into the deep void of not knowing what youre doing with your life
Love her sense of humor. She is a gift
Her facial expressions and timing are superb
“If we give a load of money to starving people, how do we know they won’t just blow it all on food?”
no - they'll blow it all on lottery tickets & cider
Right. My concern is they'd spend it all on avocados, take them home to ripen, wait, wait, and then they'd be spoiled all at once.
His absolute disgust and shock is beautiful
4:19 killed me! Like I actually giggled out loud because the way he paused then said it so seriously. Then to top it all off, Philomena and her serious response of being shocked, “DID YOU?”
“People like you and me… putting our hands in our pockets and hoping there’s money in there” 😂
Every episode is just a masterpiece
This woman is insane !!! I love her !!
"I killed John Bishop." How excited she got at that statement 😂
That opening line alone is worthy of an award
_"even these achievements pale into insignification"_
You know how I know you're a genius?
I'm trying to save these for the times when I need a good laugh, trying not to consume them too quickly. They work every time. I always get a refill.
Greatest journalist of all time!
She is the most amazing interviewist ever!
Hahahaha her reaction at 03:11 is the purest false modesty I've ever seen. Amazing.
And her delivery of "inimate skin" must've been absolute torture for the interviewee. Like how do you not laugh at that?
"I killed John Bishop!!!". "DID YOU?" Wide-eyed stare. Oh, Philomena, you are a classic Wonder of the World.
i love when she stumps the expert and instead of breaking the awkward tension, she just looks at them like she wants more praise lmao what a ham
The delivery of "intimate skin" was hilarious and skin-crawling
Smartest and most sublime funny showbizz woman i ever saw, this Philomena character voice, and manners is out of this world brilliant
Lifts me out of feeling down 😅😅😅😅😅😅 love her
She's now my favorite person on earth.
Curtiss' face at the end, priceless..
Richard Curtains.
it's beautifully bleak isn't it?
Soul has left his body
Im crying with laughter, still
thankyou philomena for teaching me that chugging is charity mugging
Funnily enough, I haven't seen many chuggers in my city for a few years now...
I haven't seen any chuggers for a few years now .nice
@@chrisoffer3074 Funnily enough there were a few in Town this week. I thought COVID had gotten rid of them.

ugh i love her
You can see the soul of this man leaving his body at this moment 05:02

some of her guests are absolutely brilliant
Where did this wonderfully refreshing young lady spring from? She is hilarious.
She is 47 young then, I imagine she will take as it as a compliment.
Bolton
The Prince of Charles and Sting 😂😂😂
Omg, Diane Morgan is relentlessly hilarious! Before I recover from her last joke, she's laying down another
Her delivery of "intimate skin" kills me.
She has now become my therapist in hard times… we should meditate to her
“How much are new trousers?” 😂
I've got to say that I have not laughed this much in a very, very long time. Being a limey her accent is a no-brainer for me but makes it that much funnier, and her delivery is perfect. It seems British humour is not dead after all.
I find her use of the accent so perfect. I am love the humor added to history.
I start laughing every time she says, "My mate Paul..." She doesn't even have to tell a joke anymore. It's a Pavlovian response now. Thanks Diane!
4:26 made me laugh so hard. You can tell he really wasn’t expecting this question lmfao
Her mate Paul....
His expression was hilarious 🤣🤣
i love him just kinda gulping and bracing himself
Peanut allergy is actually not that stupid to ask about, because health organizations offically recommend that poor countries eat peanut butter everyday because it is cheap and full of macro nutrients (along with being veeeeery useful for vegans)
I'm so in awe of her talent, her delivery is impecible, And her legs are fantastic
SHE got LEGS for miles and flappies to match!
skinny white legs
😐
You had to add a sexually objectifying comment. You couldn’t just leave well enough alone.
@@sergiovela9961 I didn’t have to do so, I chose to do so, and my comment is just as valid with the comment in as it would be without it
Love Cunk so much!!

“In one of the less boring bits in the Bible”, got me off guard and I spit my coffee all over the table!
The paul story bit was pure genius
This is what I pay my internet for
"Madre Teresa said give, but give until it hurts" it's the sexiest thing she heard not in "rude movies". This was her best time I heard so far
Absolutely love her accent.
I love this character she is extremely dim but can also be extremely accurate sometimes. :)
this amazing woman is taking advantage of the English condition. No matter what they always provide a tactful, polite and concise answer regardless of the absurdity of the question. comedy genius
The woman with the dog at the end just keeps walking like everything's completely normal. - my favorite part
Positively ADORE her delivery of such BRILLIANT writing!!!
Dry humor, doesn't get any better, or honest!!!♥️♥️
She's brilliant!
When I first watched the office the show had been over for a decade. I binged watched the 1st season and was very happy to learn there were more seasons with a lot more episodes each. When I first watched Cunk on Britain I had the same feeling (I guess I just like mockumentaries), but this time, there was only that, another very short season of Cunk on earth, and a handful of sparse videos like this one. It's quite simply not enough.
I have the flu. Body aches everywhere. It hurts to laugh but I'm laughing. Diane Morgan is amazing
I love Red Nose Day! Helping kids who need help paying for access to mental health! Thanks Cunk!
Philomena Cunk on Charity is excellent, awesome and great content. Educational and same time funny and hilarious. Keep going Diane Morgan. 🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
Fn priceless.. absolutely deadpan
hahaha she almost lost it over her own peanut allergy comment.
She has fantastic legs
I love that most interviewee 's take her seriously.
I love how Philomena changes her pronunciation of obvious words now and then, like bejjining.
Her mate Paul must have nine lives! Love it 😂
In Canada, Red Nose is a service for drunk people to drive them home after holiday parties
I love this. Thanks for that fact!
That makes sense! Except in my case, it has never been that localised an experience.
It's called a taxi usually
It's kinda like a taxi charity because the holiday season has more drunk driving than usual. They actually drive you back home in your own car. Then the volunteer gets picked up by another volunteer.
@@LucasMakes such a cool idea. in the UK the insurance wouldn’t be very happy with that though
I love her
I LOVE HER

God bless Philomena!!
She is amazingly funny
Possibly the first really funny charity promo!
Genious. Showing Bob Geldof while playing Status Quo.
What, a simple and obvious call back to the fact that Status Quo opened Live Aid?
Ill be askin how much are new trousers? That absolutely sent me 😆
