The second brush wasn't that dirty! 10-15 minutes in the soapy water, then clean it the same with the toothbrush and it comes like new. I had mine as dirty as yours. I clean them the same way and it does wonders

Try to use hair coloring brush, it has longer bristles that can easily reach every nukes and cranes!
