All the home beer pumps pour like this, its why i wont bother with one. Paying 2/3/400 quid for something that just pours pints of foam... Might aswell just carry on buying cans and do a decent pour into a glass with them
This is the number one reason i wont get any of these home beer pumps, they all pour like this... In almost every video ive watched of them, its just a glass full of head
I had a Pinter for my birthday last month and tapped my Brewdog Hazy Jane yesterday. I did a review on it. It ended well but started off like a night club foam party! I'm thoroughly enjoying it now though, and am moving on to Winters Slumber (spiced ale) as soon as my Pinter is empty!
The very very brief beer review at the end is a shame, however I'm glad you tapped it in this video Please please please do a more in depth video on the beer itself, and please please please do a comparison with a standard can of punk..... Comparisons!!!! Comparisons!!!! Great video anyway, I want one now!
Remember last time you tried the pinter you forgot to turn the carbonation dial up and your beer was flat . You blamed it on pinter and said you chucking them in the bin. 😂
Congratulations - on brewing the most expensive pint of Punk ever! As a home brewer of 40 odd years I wouldn't mind trying the Brewdog hopped malt extract if I could buy it to make up 40 pints with my own equipment but I can't see that happening any time soon - and I speak as a Brewdog shareholder!
Actually just got one of these and I have the Space Hopper on brew now :) I bit of advice... get some cheap supermarket still water as it has less added "stuff" in it. Also there is an ebay shop that offers beer clip magnets for the different beers pinter do so I have a batch of 5 different ones on order
You convinced me to invest £79 on this kit so fingers crossed it turns out half decent . You were like a proud dad at the end holding aloft the fruits of your labour ! Cheers Simon
I keep looking at these then I walk over to the fridge grap a NEIPA pour it into a glass then drink it whilst watching another one of your videos Simon 😊
I'm going to wait until you've had a few glasses out of it. I used to brew my own from a kit out of Boots back in the 70s. Really good stuff it was and popular with my mates. It was racked off then into a barrel, but after a few pints there was no gas left in the barrel. I had to buy a small adapter that fitted on the screw cap of the barrel and then charge it with CO² cartridges. Let's see how yours does. . .
Been a while since I used any Pinter kits. I tend to buy the Mangrove Jack 10 Pint kits for it and they work really well and much cheaper. Would give this a go but quite expensive for 9-10 pints. Loved the video mate!
needs 2 weeks at least to brew, then sit back for a few weeks more for conditioning - good beers come to those that wait.. (time & temperature balance)
I tried their IPA once...dunno what all the fuss is about...bitter grapefruity typical shit modern "IPA"....once was more than enough....never again! Thing is ask most folk if they drink Grapefruit juice on a regular basis....bet it's no...but in beer oh yes its the best thing going...and if you don't like IPA ur some kind of philistine....same old BS!...
Don't think he's mentioned it for about a year. He started mentioning it less and less as he got into more and more bother with the neighbours and council.
I've come a long way from drinking Carling black label as a youth to my favourite Beers today.....duuvel, proper job, Heineken, Guinness foreign extra, brewdog Mr president. And all Oktoberfest German beers 👍🍺🍺
The Pinter kits are brewed and served all in this vessel so no messing with bottling or kegging. They also brew under pressure in a sealed vessel so brew faster, less likely to have off flavours and less likely to become infected. And if you want you could brew non Pinter kits to bring cost down although that does void your warranty.
Just been to El segundo and tried the steve austin broken skull lager, really nice. I brought a coaster back for you if you collect them. Give me a shout mate n ill post it to you
@0:56 Tried to read the text in English and realised while I was reading it was Dutch..Errm I'm born Dutch! Silly NO! I didn't have a beer. Honestly! "Dochter van de Korenaar" brewery literally translated means: "Daughter of the ear of Corn/Wheat". Anywhoo, I'm looking forward to the rest of your review Simon. Thanks for all your hard work, but somebody' got to do it aye? hehe. P.S. Brewdog? Charles Watt? Wasn't he all over the tabloids because he and "what's name" Georgia Toffolo got engaged this week? After 5 days of Toffolo overkill with photos of the enormous diamant ring, and Watt carrying Toffolo in every flippin' picture I wondered if the girl could actually walk or stand on her own two feet. Maybe she drank to much of Brewdog X Pinter the night before, who knows?? hehe Tonight I'm going to binge watch some of your 10-13 year old reviews. Nostalgic meanwhile enjoying a 50cl of Paulaner hefe-weissbeer , Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbeer, Erdinger Weissbeer and Hertog Jan Weissbeer 😉Cheers Simon, weissing I mean wishing you and your family all the best. have a great weekend. 🍺🍻🍺
Don't have the time to watch the whole video through now, but a comment revealed straight away is that you have used water straight from the tap. BIG MISTAKE! Letting water stand for at least an hour to release any chlorine is a must before adding to the fermentation vessel.. Or use mineral/spring water will make a huge difference in the end result.
99% dribbling over a free Pinter 1% on the finished beer 😂 £2.95 a pint just for the beer kit and let’s face it anyone that’s had a Pinter knows you’ll be very lucky if your not patching it up after 12 months.
Four 330 ml cans cost 6.50 in sainsburys......the pouch does 10 pints for 24.99. A pint of similar style beer at my local costs over 6 quid, do the math
A Lindr & a 20 liter keg is easier. My local brew club was offered a Pinter kit, but when they asked for it the offer had expired, even though the email was less than 12 hours old. Never again Pinter, no integrity. Simon, I think you have better things to do with your time 🍻
You can brew cheaper but you can also brew other kits in the Pinter if cost is your only concern. The convenience of brewing and serving in the same vessel and all that under pressure with all the benefits that brings is awesome imo and I have brewed a heck of a lot of beer in my time from kits to all grain. I have even brewed all grain then fermented and served in these things. They are superb.
God your a spanner lmao 🤣 u hate brewdog but love something free from them lmao one minute u hate syrupy beers and beers made with syrups now ur sniffing syrups saying they smell amazing this is a syrupy beer wtf is wrong with u none of us are going out and buying this shit cheaper to just go buy cans! Punk is garbage anyway
Would it not have helped to read the instructions prior to hitting record? It’s a recipe for screwing up and wasting the whole thing. Seems like an expensive outlay for ten pints. You’d have to really like making it. Then it’s £25 a pop every time you want to spend ten days waiting for another ten pints.
Honestly, this is exactly what puts me off getting one of these home beer taps, they all seem to be the same. They almost NEVER pour properly, in almost every video ive watched, the glass is like 80% head, and you have to wait for it to settle, kinda defeats the whole purpose
As much as I love Simon and his videos do not take this as a reflection of the Pinter. I have had one right from the start and can get a kit brewing in less than 5 minutes.
You really enjoyed this didn't you, and this is what Pinter is all about I suppose, getting involved in your beer.
Wouldn't it be great if it was available ready made in cans or bottles 😂
Back in the kitchen like the olden days.
Keep up the good work 👍
Never saw a man so delighted with a glass of foam
Yes, but a glass of foam with a bit of grapefruit, bit of orange peel, bit of bitterness on the back end! Love his enthusiasm!
All the home beer pumps pour like this, its why i wont bother with one. Paying 2/3/400 quid for something that just pours pints of foam... Might aswell just carry on buying cans and do a decent pour into a glass with them
You are allowed to edit your videos Simon!!!!
Exactly! Would have been half the length.
Beer in the glass then... 10 finger white head 😁
@@warbwarb ‘nice levels of carbonation’ 🤣🤣🤣
Cheers everybody!

Someone get this man another pint
Ha perfect timing, I just got one and the brewdog punk IPA is brewing now!

Electric extension block on the worktop right next to the sink. You'll be reviewing the Barry Fire Brigade next Si! 😄
Back in the kitchen like the days of old. What a treat
Are we getting a follow-up, or is the brew buggered
When 79 IQ meets an 82 IQ task
I was hoping you were going to say that pint had a nine finger head!
Love the cabling and socket extension up againt the Sink. What is that saying that Electrics and Water dont mix ?

literally just went and bought some punk IPA ;p haha . lovely stufff
Pre mix rather than shake to ensure a good brew 🍻
I have tried twice with my pinter and both came out awful but I need to try this!
Enjoyed this . Made me smile 😀.

What's the advent calendar?
Looks like a real ball ache to me I'd of died of thirst

Ha ha ha
What happened to the beer bunker? Does anyone know?
Don't think he's mentioned it for about a year. He started mentioning it less and less as he got into more and more bother with the neighbours and council.
Was starting to think about getting one but it seems all the beer packs contain invert sugar syrup/glucose fructose syrup.
Memories of Geordie bitter kits to be honest
The face at the end said this is MY work, I’ve made this 😁
I've come a long way from drinking Carling black label as a youth to my favourite Beers today.....duuvel, proper job, Heineken, Guinness foreign extra, brewdog Mr president. And all Oktoberfest German beers 👍🍺🍺
What is the difference between using old style beer kits that brew about 23 litres and this pinter?
The old style beer kits are easier and you can have a beer while waiting for the beer to be transferred to the fermentation vessel
About 70 quid
The Pinter kits are brewed and served all in this vessel so no messing with bottling or kegging. They also brew under pressure in a sealed vessel so brew faster, less likely to have off flavours and less likely to become infected. And if you want you could brew non Pinter kits to bring cost down although that does void your warranty.
Bit of an odd video, more time waiting for your water to warm up than reviewing the beer. Editing is your friend Simon.
As a home brewer/ semi professional brewer, this gave me all the heeby jeebies 😂
Love the bar sign, where did you get it from mate as I'm looking to get one designed, cheers
You really want to get it on a tray or something last four brews I made do leak a little. It's normal but a worry when you first start.
I got the same result from those 5L legs i took to butlins 6 years ago. Might as well concede its just not real draft.
Once the beer is brewed, how long does it last in the pinter? Please don't say depends how quickly you drink it😅
"fresh" for 30 days
Just been to El segundo and tried the steve austin broken skull lager, really nice. I brought a coaster back for you if you collect them. Give me a shout mate n ill post it to you

Good vid 👍
Can you do brewdogs spar exclusive sprucy lucy? Cheers
Unrelated, but you should try reviewing the Aldi 'Made in Italy' pizza, and compare it to the M&S 'Made in Italy' pizza.
Now i know where the real ale craft beer neon sign went ..lol

I mean, its a pint of foam...
4 me id spend the £79 On a selection of quality brewed bevvys from the shop.
Is this guy for real
You shake the Pinter for a minimum of 60 seconds now, the instructions were updated a while ago.
Wouldn’t waste my money on Brewdog. Kitchen looks great mate 👍👍

That code doesn't do anything. i tried to use it but no discount appeared to be applied
Already used it mate buying a load of candy kittens lovely drop
i was wrong, the code works the website was not clear when it was applied
@@Jhizzle2495candy kittens is an abomination
This looks like a lot of hard work when I could just open a can or bottle.
No way. Can't believe it was nice tasty.
Going to end up with fried fish with all the electrics around the sink!!! 🫣
Heres an idea what about sending a print version of the instructions 😂
You know they do it in bottles and cans?
Four 330 ml cans cost 6.50 in sainsburys......the pouch does 10 pints for 24.99. A pint of similar style beer at my local costs over 6 quid, do the math
Who has a size of fridge to put the thing in I don't .. I looked at buy one years ago
Who doesnt love unboxing a new toy!!..i know i do lol
Is it stone the crows for your home brew
Id have named mine jeeves. "Okay jeeves, pour me a pint"
So wheres Harold Pinter?
Getting pissed on Brewdog IPA Remixed (8.5% abv) at the birthday party probably!

It’s easier to brew in a 30 litre bucket
It’s just a gimmick this
Home brewings much better value

@ i just think paying £25 quid for 9 pints you have to make yourself is to much
You can buy it in asda for £2 a bottle
Seams like a lot of hassle , just get a handpull and buy mini kegs , beer box’s
A bit of a car crash but interestiing result. 😂

Give yourself a heads up before posting a review brother. I personally don't want to see you having to work out how to use your phone.
Lol Si, that prison cell kitchen light needs upgrading.
Never mind that. Check out the electric extension sockets right by the sink 😱
@@Shadz01😂🤣😂🤣

If they see this video Just Stop Oil will be reaching for the paint not the pinter.
What an absolute f.faff.....all for a dogs dinner of a brewery....aslong as it's free though a
...or you could just buy a few cans of Punk IPA.
Or skip that as well and buy something decent
Rather buy a can of Irn Bru

Biggest sell out, Simon or Brewdog?
Hates concentrate, never liked brewdog. Sent for free, I’ll sack off all my principles. He’ll be watching Charlie says next…
Bellend
Alternatively don’t support brewdog in any way shape or form.
Yep they suck!
Sighs😢
Sellout !! Only a matter of time
