I tell all my nurse anesthesiology residents to not get stuck in the mind frame that you can only work in one small area. The less “desirable” areas offer the best opportunities versus large city hospitals with ACT practices. There are more jobs than there are CRNAs out there even if some small regions have a glut of anesthesia providers. I wouldn’t take anything less than 200K as a new graduate unless there was some outstanding benefits to go with it.

If you went back in time and asked yourself if you’d become a CRNA one day while you were in nursing school, what would had been your answer then?
1st semester it would have been what the heck is a CRNA and I’m going to be an endocrinologist. 🤣
