WHO CAN HELP? I use Sharpen AI for fixing out of focus video footage (each frame a PNG), which usually leaves me with around 150 images. I want to apply the selection mask (e.g. Auto - People/Portraits) on all images at once. Is that somehow possible? I don't have time to apply it separately on each image...
Dave I purchased Sharpen, Denoise , and Gigapixel a year or so ago based on your reviews and I love them! That said I have two questions. First with the older versions of Sharpen Ai the red mask often extends a sixteenth of an inch or so out from the actual image edge. How important is it to trim that tiny excess of with the subtract brush? My second question is that after using Sharpen Ai I noticed that the area under the eagle's wings had developed a fair amount of noise largely due to the fact that I had dodged and lightened the shadows. I decided to try running DeNoise on the sharpened image to see if it would remove that noise and it did so without effecting the image sharpness. is there a downside to running DeNoise on a previously sharpened image? Thanks!
The pictures you are showing are mostly sharp already, and not really need to be sharpened .. try to show some pictures which are really blurry or out of focus to see how much can be recovered.

HELP HELP HELP my Sharpen AI .... DOES NOT UPDATE 🥵I have version 3.3.5 : I click "update now" it shows a bar fully blue "downloading updates 6MB/6MB" .... and NOTHING MORE HAPPENS .... it became frozen !!!

Just updated mine and every time I attempt to " select subject " it crashes and completely shuts down Sharpen AI. I've tried it with all the inbuilt default images and I get the same result. I hope Topaz sort this out soon 🙁 EDIT: I've managed to fix it by changing my AI preference to " Auto " instead of my GPU. Seems to work ok now but I'd prefer my GPU to do the work rather than my CPU.
Hi Dave, Does Sharpen AI now work correctly as a Smart Filter in Photoshop yet? Specifically, does it remember its settings when you open the Photoshop file to re-edit it?
4.1 crashes on my PC. My video drivers and Windows are up to date. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled but I keep getting a white screen and the spinning donut. Not sure what to do.

Sir, is it possible to save/export a mask to another program, say Affinity, onto a layer?? Or if this is impossible, to another Topaz program, say studio 2? Thank you....
Hmmmm...checked email and I do have an email from Topaz advising me to download 4.1 - "included with my upgrade plan" I'll download it and install but strange that from within the software I'm told I'm running the latest version (3.3.1)
Q: If you click on an edge and hold the shift key as you move to the opposite edge of a straight and click. Will it give a straight line mask? Hope this was clear. Thx
You said you use this as a stand alone software. Why do I have to have internet to use it? I can't get internet in my area so I use the hotspot on my phone. I have to be connected to use all of the topaz software.
@@thejoyofeditingwithdavekelly I have it downloaded. That's weird. I took my pc to a friend's house to use her internet to download them. Maybe something didn't download right. I will contact them to see what I need to do to fix this. Thank you.
@@carlmcneill1139 I just shutdown my computer ( I am on a windows 10 PC) disconnected my internet,rebooted and tried sharpen AI, Denoise AI and Gigapixel.They all worked fine without an internet connection.If you had it registered before but updated to the newest version it probably needs to check online to register the latest update.Did you install at your friends place ? , you may also need to use the option to download all model files if her connection is faster if you didn't already .

If you mask out an area, like your sky in the skyline photo, the sky receives no sharpening. But the sky may need noise reduction and it’s unfortunate that requires another workflow step. Correct?
It's a great product, but I hope that Topaz doesn't forget its non-AI products.

I said a stand alone app. You have to download the software first. Once it is downloaded you don’t have to be on the internet to use it.

That is correct.
If you have contact with Topaz, could you suggest a toggle which allows noise reduction to be applied to all regardless of masking?
I don’t have communication with Topaz but they do have a forum where you could suggest this. Here is a link: community.topazlabs.com
