Is it just me that clicks anytime i see a SE gemini ? Lol. Why does nobody chat about that mic
I love that microphone! This is the first version, G5
@@MadSteex same here i have the mark 2. I have Used it as my main vocal mic now for about 5 years. Love it. Kinda weird as well how no other company really does a dual valve mics 🎙️ ive been looking to get something new recently just to add to the collection . Maybe something a little darker like a TLM102. Ive recorded on u87s and i think the Gemini gives it a run for its money 💴 not the same sound but definitely as high of quality
@@ShadohKotnexactly! For the money is an excellent microphone super versatile for the dual output. If you want something hybrid I think LEWITT do that.
Nice video well done
Amazing video
So amazing video
Soooo amazing video 🎉❤
Awesome review! I recently saw your review on the BAE 1073. Now I'm divided between that and this channel. Do you have a preference?
Hey thanks! the BAE is a really solid unit, I personally loved how natural and organic sounded the equalizer, really useful in recording too. But if I personally have to choose one, I'll go for the Newton channel since is cheaper comparing the unit with also the equalizer, and the Newton is more versatile having also a great compressor, the texture feature I consider it "a plus" even if can be useful, but really subtle, the preamp is wonderful, the recording become very big and controlled. it's a really great unit useful for recording and for post processing mono sources.
Hi is it possible to connect the Neve Newton channel to other Channelstrip for example SPL channel one mk3?
Well you can connect it to what you want before return to the audio interface.. just go from the xlr out to the in of the other device. Or use a patchbay
@@MadSteex do I have to put in in the line input or normal input of the SPL channel one mk3?
@@alphasupreme7167 You have to decide which preamp use first of all, if the Newton or the SPL, if Newtone, then you will start with the Newton channel , you put the mic into the newton channel to use the preamp, than the signal goes through all the Newton channel, then you go out from the LINE of the Newton and go inside the SPL using the LINE level, so you will use the Channel One for the other things and no more for the main preamp...viceversa.
@@MadSteex i see is it the 6-db output the line level output? or the Balenced output? or does it not matter?
The outputs are all balanced xlr line level.
