I decided to look this up, and apparently it is only Australians who pronounce it as 'Kay-sh', so I have been hearing it wrong all my life, which is pretty funny to me.
It is actually pretty similar reasoning to the Gond Combo deck previously. Have a combo, if it doesn't work just beat down with cat. I just didn't think the manabase in this one could work, but I was pleasantly surprised.
At around 1:47:38, you could kill Priest and combo to have 2 infinite/infinite creatures plus the cat with lifelink attacking for 9, basically making your opponent chump 3x for the rest of the game, why not go for it? You even have Bearer in play to protect from removal.
I think I was still too scared of the potential Guardian's Pledge at that particular time stamp. I think I would lose too much life trying to do all of those things that turn and only have 1 flying blocker to their 5 attackers. I definitely could have done this the turn after to quicken up the clock but the Cat was putting on enough pressure that I didn't think it was necessary.
1:48:00 You start talking about not caring about the combo, bit your opponent lost their other suture priest. At 1:49:30 if you cast down the suture priest, you can combo and make Writhing an infinite power trampler with devoid to win.
I didn't have trample that I could see at those points in the game. I could have made an infinite powered guy yes, but I was still scared of Guardian's Pledge so wanted to keep up the reach Blocker.
Have you seen anyone trying duskshell crawler with chrysalis? Not sure if it would actually be good or not, but with the gates package I could see it fitting in here. Also attacking with the eldrazi spawn is too cool, love this list so much.
Nah, didn't record it and I am on holidays so didn't have the time to record a replay video. Plus I think people have had enough fog for a little bit. Apologies if you wanted to see it.
@@skilledwhitemagician4681Our version of English is just whatever we see on TV, could be US or UK depending on what we were brought up on. I'm just repeating what I've heard before.
Careful! Snap bolt called me racist for trying to discuss about a Japanese pestilence list that ran thraben inspector lol I really wish I knew on which video specifically
I want whatever this deck designer was taking.
Fun fact: "cache" is pronounced like "cash." That's why they made the play on words and named the card "Cache Grab."

I also love seeing urborg repossession, I was suggesting it somewhere as a way to get back both sides of the broodscale combo for one card
I also love using it incorrectly and not returning the right part to make me combo. Good times.
"The cat is not going to attack coz of the strands."
My man kirb got a thraben charm to remove strands and gain like 8 life a turn.
I'm just a scared little Kirb who can't remember all the text on Thraben Charm.
it does make sense. gates gives you a late game package basically for free. in case they stop your combo, you can still have game.

@@KirblinxyFor some reason I was thinking Chris had trample and reach for some reason when I know it doesn’t.

Are you planning on uploading your top 8 with Golgari Fog (and broodscale glee sideboard) in the challenge from last weekend as well?

Do Aussie's not pronounce 'cache' as 'cash'?

"gate is strong, broodscale is strong.. what if we mashed em together"
Idk this feels like it came in 12th because there was only 12 contenders
12th on 110 players ! So quite a good result with that pile
