    She was 9 months pregnant here singing about her deadbeat Dad. And shortly after this song , her dirtbag husband left her and robbed her too. 😢 I love Kelly. I wish her all the best because she deserves it.

      Same here! I have a stepbrother that she did the same to who I’ve never met and probably never will. She passed away two years ago so I guess I’ll never know why. I guess some women aren’t meant to be mothers.I have two daughters and I could never do that to them, they are my life and reason I want to do better.

    • @Anna_M96
      @Anna_M96 Год назад +2

      @@anarangel8040 my mother is still alive and just refuses to admit that she has a huge addiction to pills and other harmful substances, basically any and everything you could think of. She has never taken accountability for not raising me or my brothers and I’ve accepted that she never will. A lot of my family on her side wants me to forgive her and let her be a part of my children’s lives but I don’t see that being possible because of how little I know about her and the little interest she showed in me as a child. I don’t think she deserves the title grandma and I don’t think it would be a healthy relationship for them. You’re right, some women are not meant to have children and I wish the world understood that.

      My egg donor walked off and left my sister and me. My dad stepped up and took care of us while working full-time with help from my grandparents. She physically abused us and our father, too. She had mental issues. She was in our lives off and on, mostly when it was convenient for her. We were in our teens when she sent us a certified letter. She said she only had kids because my father wanted us and that we would get married, not because we wanted to be. But, because that's what's expected of us and when we had kids, we would see where she was coming from. I'm a mother of a 19 and 21 year old and to this day, I still don't see it. My kids are my life...

When we were old enough to work in the business it felt like my dad became my friend and that was our relationship, I always figured that he was a good dad by knowing what not to do and therefore just did the opposite of what he grew up with. I appreciate that your words made me feel like there are some more great self taught dads out there. After hearing about the struggles he went through and the way he was with my brother and me, I always felt that my dad was a great dad just by over coming the his beginnings and being the person he figured we needed instead of copying what he saw like other dads did. So love that the song resonates with you and how you took parts of the song and relate it to your real life.
    This is a real life story for Kelly and her family. Her father legit up and and left and only came back when she was in American Idol and won the first season. I don’t know if her mother ever remarried or if Kelly had another father figure in her life like a step-dad or uncle. She never really talked or sang about it..she mostly sang about her absentee father. But during this time of the performance she was married and had a child and was pregnant with her second child. So the whole part of the song when she said “HE NEVER WALKS AWAY.. HE NEVER ASKS FOR MONEY.. HE TAKES CARE OF ME.. CUZ HE LOVES ME..” was about her husband.
    Especially now that they are in a heated divorce currently.. she has a continuation of this song about her ex-husband LOL. She also also took out all the mentions of her ex in “Piece by Piece” in recent performances..and replaced it with HER..talking about HERSELF.

    My Grandson just turned 1 yrs old today. His dad has never once met him face to face or even seen him on a video call. After multiple times of offering to have him come and meet his son and he turns it down every time, he tells my daughter the other day that he just isn't a kid person even though he has a kid himself. The first time he ever said his name was 2 weeks ago after my daughter told him his son has a name and it's not baby or kid. He flat out told us that he wants nothing to do with his son. He started paying a little money here and there but that's all he is willing to do. I hope and pray a good man comes into my grandson's life and becomes the dad he deserves.

    That unconditional love part is a rather bitter sweet thing. In order to feel that or to show that love to someone, you have to be willing to allow yourself to be loved for what you are entitled. The good things and the bad. You must open up and be seen as others are able to see you. We often have an golden version of ourselves that we see and think everyone else sees us as being. In order to be seen in the light we must accept that the darkness exists as well. And that is the true beauty of life. To see that we are not perfect and still go out of our way to prove that wrong. Our lives are like a building. If you don’t have that foundation then eventually it will all come tumbling down. Be someone who lays down and supports someone else’s building. Fix the problems and rise up to new heights. Wow, that almost sounded like I know what I am talking about. I’m sorry, I just wanted to put that out there. I’ve heard you speak on being a father a few times and wanted you to know that although we WILL make mistakes in our lives you are starting out pretty good my friend. Much love to you and your family.

    Your my first reaction video for this song. Actually my first I’ve seen of your channel. I didn’t expect to get stuck…. Here… I’ve listened to this song dozens of time. But I’ve never watched such a handsome strong man be so authentic and allow this vulnerability to be displayed. You are so amazing and it’s so refreshing to see your transparency and honesty. Thank you for being you. You’re the real deal. Epitome of a man.

    How could one not cry with this performance?! If there is an ounce of humanity in us it should move us to tears. Hers is a story that too many children experience and should never! It should motivate us all to ensure we go back to commitment in marriage, protecting and fighting for the solid bonds of family and self-sacrificial love for our children and each other. Marriage is a union between adults who know their responsibility to each other and to the children and will let nothing and noone interfere. Broken homes and abandonment are a plague in our society. My childhood was like hers and yours and too many others. My question is: when will we break this cycle and restore what it means to be a family and where we take care of them as the most precious thing in the whole world?! Your commitment is beautiful to see. Good man!!! You rightly said that it's hard to heal from what she described. The tragedy is ... many of us never do heal and our ability to believe in ourselves, forget having a family of our own, is destroyed.

    Continue to be the father you are to your kids bro. Thanks for showing vulnerability and sharing how you went through the same rejection. I'm so sorry you had to endure that young man. But as you said, it molded who you are and your step father filled that void. I wish you all the best.

    Kelly Clarkson is someone to look up to. She went from living in her car when she did the first American idol and look at her now. And I'm not just talking about being famous. I just mean it in life.

    Geat reaction. It's nice to see sooo many young reactors that are listening to songs from the 80's on up & really listen to them and then which they were there during our music era. And we did have so many great artists & groups that were great to grow up to.
    As for this song. Here's what I know & heard. This song orginially came out at a litter faster temp. She wrote this song while married at the time when she was married & wrote this w/her small little daughter. When at the time was American Idol's list season & episode & she was asked to sing at American Idol & also the Grammy's. However, her doc said at this late stage of her pregnancy & cuz she was having a difficult pregnancy doc told her she only 1 in her. Everyone thought she would choose the Grammy's for it's own reasons but she didn't. She choose Idol since she believed she wouldn't be able to sing on it anymore. So she sang it at a slower tempo. Her listeners loved this verson & downloads & listeners to it flew through the roof. I also believe it went to #1 for several weeks.
    Growing up her father left her & didn't see her growing up. Then he seen how she won Idol & grow to one of the #1 artists out at the time & in current years. However, she met her husband & was in love w/the creep & she had her daughter, she was pregnant w/her song during this performance & then had a 3rd child-another boy. When she got married & had daughter the song then talked about her father 1st and leaving her. Then met husband and had daughter & the song explained how her husband walked in & showed how a man can love you & have this wonderful daughter and who wouldn't leave. Well the a*$hole ended up doing all that to Kelly. He took her through a shit long divorce.

    One of the best reactions. We watch this feeling so much and then have a change to see someone experience it in real time is just validating and powerful . not everyone will show emotion and dont rwalize that what we want is tbe emotion. We want to see someone else react and feel what we felt. It normalizes for us and when you love something you want other too also. Nice job mam, you gave kelly tbe respected she deserved and it says a lot about you.

    American Idol has been back for a few years, with different judges. Happened to my oldest daughter, her father walked away.. Thank God my husband wanted my daughter and adopted her at age 3. Now in her early 40's he wants to see and get to know her daughter. Won't ever happen.
