I’m legit crying in my bathroom. I’m a 21 yr old curly girl and never knew how to care for it so I always straightened it. I came across this video and I look so beautiful and it’s less damaging/hard work/stressful than straightening my hair and it’s ten times more beautiful. Thank you so much.

•Wait about 20 minutes after washing your hair before you diffuse it.
•Put all your stylers in before you use the diffuser.
•The lady in the video uses the lowest heat setting and the lowest fan setting, but you can use a different setting depending on your hair.
1. Take a section of your hair. Make sure it isn’t too big of a section. You want it to all fit in the diffuser cup and not fall out.
2. Move the diffuser cup with your hair in it up to your scalp. Turn the diffuser on and leave it there for 10-20 seconds. But if your scalp feels too hot, remove the diffuser immediately.
3. IMPORTANT: turn the diffuser off before removing it! If you don’t, it will cause frizz. Then remove the diffuser.
4. Keep going around doing this to different sides of your hair.
5. For more volume, flip your hair upside down and diffuse it.
•The lady in the video said that her hair dries faster at the tips rather than the roots. You might have to modify these directions to fit your hair needs if your hair dries faster at the roots.
6. Place the diffuser onto your scalp. Keep placing the diffuser onto different parts of your scalp to dry them further.
•Put your hands under your hair and shake it out. But also DON’T shake it out when your hair is still wet or it will cause frizz.
•Keep drying your hair, but don’t dry it completely. Leave it to air dry for a while if you’re able to.
•Try not to touch your hair often while diffusing because it can cause frizz.

It would be really useful to see a comparison between using the diffuser and air drying. I think it would help people make the decision as to whether they want to go down the diffusing path or not, and what the same styling looks like with just air drying. Great vid though thanks.
You can always just try it yourself
That way you will know for sure what works for you and how do you want to dry your hair

So happy I found this. I am new to curly hair at 58 LOL. After menopause I thought my hair got a bit frizzy when it used to be straight. Then I saw a video on doing curly hair and how another woman's hair changed after menopause. So I have been working on doing this curl thing and your video on diffusing greatly helped. Big help turning it on and off once you get the dryer in place. Thanks so much!!
OMG THANK YOU!!! I have been trying to rock my natural curl again and training my hair and I have been doing it all wrong. Hopefully it will withstand the Texas Coast humidity some when I step outside (I’ll take what I can get 😂) but your technique has proven a night and day difference.

GORGEOUS! I'm also Team Diffuser since I have baby bird super fine hair. Volume is key for me, that's for sure! I admit I drool when it comes to the Dyson diffuser, but I haven't made the money plunge for it. I'm thinking that maybe Santa (my husband) could surprise me with one for Christmas! The dyson really does kick butt. I rarely used a dryer before. I finally started using mine and WOW! No other dryer ive used comes close. This is what a dryer should be! Thanks for the video still learning how to make my curls so their thing :)
I just decided to curl my hair this year (it’s wavy, I wanted to tighten the waves) and got some products and a large diffuser but didn’t get much info on using the diffuser effectively. Found your video when searching and omg, you explain it so clearly, I made notes so I can try later. THANK YOU!

I've seen a lot of videos on how to difuse curly hair but this by far has been the best video and changed the look of my hair immensely thank you so much for showing a very decent video on how to properly diffuse her I don't have a Dyson blow dryer I have a chi and I love it for being a decent affordable blow dryer

My hair is very thick, bushy and 3b. For years I literally couldn't deal with it. My hair needs product and heat to look good, so I buzzed it off and kept that way for sixteen years. I am so freaking happy to have it back after two years of not buzzing it. I bought a hair dryer with a diffuser attachment today. Invest in a good bonnet, if you have long or medium hair get a longer bonnet, otherwise a standard bonnet will work for you, make sure it’s either silk or satin, if you wanna refresh, you can use a curl spray to refresh, or mix some water and conditioner into a spray bottle, spray, scrunch, and refresh :)
