I have the thermarest and both Helinox chairs. I rarely use them for hiking but do take the Chair One on my motorcycle trips. Had not thought to take the legs off and use inside the tent when not using outside. Thanks
I have used the thermarest trekker chair for year's, similar to your sea to summit one but it is open at both ends, more flexible. you would probably be able use it on other sleeping matts, just depends on the width of the matt. they have two sizes. they are worth the cost, I have had the same one for many years.
@@Fellmandave1 I agree, great mod, done the same to mine but still only 750 grms, ...better than 900gms. I'll keep looking. Even the extra weight is worth the comfort as I'm pretty ultralight with the rest of my gear. Cheers.
Thanks for the video! Would it be possible to provide an link to the amazon chair ? If looked quite a bit and the ones Ive found are all heavier than 430 gram. Thanks EDIT: Maybe if you could link to both chairs that you talk about in the video :) That would be much appreciated!
@@Fellmandave1 Thanks alot. When reading upon the weight on the chair you linked it says 1.62 kg?! I understand that they include bag etc but Im just having a hard time understanding how the chair it self only weighs 430 gram - what makes up for the rest of the weight? Im not doubting your specced weight Im just confused because Ive looked at alot of copycats of the Helinox at Amazon and they all weigh almost the double of the Helinox if one are to trust the Amazon speccs =).
I am raising funds to buy an emergency beacon to help keep myself and the youngsters including Scouts I take out safe. Thanks! www.buymeacoffee.com/fellmandave

Thank you for pointing out the unbelievably obvious! I will try this with a chair where one of the legs broke a bit anyway.
I since bought the helinox ground chair!

Cannot find any chairs on amazon including the linked one under 900gms.
Things change all the time on Amazon alas, but the helinox chair 1 is 870g and is on Amazon. I like my ground chair.
