That Cory Ellis putt still gives me nightmares
I joked with him last year saying if he made lead card to bring a tape measure and measure the cage before he putts. Well I made lead card and didn't do it and I'm still sad about missing my opportunity

The basket is different from the others. It should have a ring on the outer edge.
A couple of years ago my buddy had one fall off the top of the basket and go IN. I told him "I've been playing almost 40 years and that's the first one I've seen actually go in." Five minutes later he hung a circle's edge putt on a nub outside the basket. He asked if that counts and I told him "As of this year, yes. Yes, it does. Bro, you need to go buy a lottery ticket or something."

I would argue the one that stopped on the top of the basket and then fell in from the wind doesn’t count. The disc came to rest then was moved by the wind and fell in, it should be marked where it came to rest.

Yes it does. So does the one at 4:24.
pretty sure the one at 4:24 does not count as it is not fully supported by the basket, but is leaning on it from the ground?@@_mcdrew
@@Lime-ct7ux Nope, the rule doesn't anywhere state it has to be *fully* supported. PDGA rules committee has clarified that a disc leaning against the cage should count several times.
It formerly did not count, but the rule was amended a few years ago.

How do u mark a putt next to.the basket from a quater inch away from it😅😅😅 if u miss that quit disc golf
I’m a big fan of outlawing flags on top of the basket. They prevent many 20-30’ comebackers, and making it in the basket? Cmon man lol
They're for visibility. Like Ball golf, they can be necessary for players to be able to tell where to throw. The hole of the Raven Newsom clip, for example, is one where you go up and then down a hill, and the flag lets players see the pin when they'd otherwise be blocked by the hill. I think the VERY occasional flag interference is worth players not being forced to learn a bunch of blind holes
I'm a big fan of every basket having a flag or a number plate on top. To each his own.

EASILY the best, funniest, most freakish thing that could happen. Yes, maybe not coverage and tournament, but that wind is CRAZY.

I believe they did some DIY work on that tray and that’s why it was even able to happen.. just absolute garbage and Corey is quite the pro to accept it the way he did.. I would’ve lost it..and that’s why he’s a major champion and I’m a major chump lol!!
3:05 - I had this exact thing happen to me at a tournament this last weekend. I shouted “IT COUNTS!” so loud when it teetered off the wrong side of the cage but held on. I was having a rough round up to that point and that good break couldn’t have come at a better time.
