I was gonna say it’s repairable with the rod they have these days. So nickel rod would be best? I’ve used silicon bronze on cast but not an engine. Good to know

Yeah I just went through hurricane pops, I'm about an hour away from Bradenton motorsport, we got a bunch of down tree limbs and power outages but it looks like we all survived at least in Clearwater to the north of us got hammered!
No beer, no starting line idiots except pit crew for starters would be a huge improvement. If they want to gamble go to a darn casino. Rail riders should have been outlawed a long time ago and has gotten people hurt and nearly killed this year alone. Losing a track due to liability is unacceptable. An Index class maybe ? Bill,the starting line problem is an easy fix. Credentials for crew members and press/photographers. As far as Mark's engine block, call Indy Cylinder Head. They repair cast iron blocks and heads.
@@danmyers9372 ,cast iron welding in more involved than aluminum welding is. It's more than heating up a spot with a oxy/acetylene torch and welding the crack with a stick welder. 👌

I've never had problems with E85 sitting for months to years. Been running it in carbs and efi since 2007. Maybe Pontiac is just better, but a Holley is a Holley and Qjets don't have issues either. How many decades does it take for all these issues to appear?

Awesome stuff Bill !! On Billy’s C10, I think it was chip foose that did it but I’m not sure. He cut the front of the hood down, followed the 2 hood lines so the hood slanted forward and it looked better than factory for sure. Him and Tanner were hoping for more of the blower and carburetor would stick out the hood and I figured I would mention it to you.
I really liked how you and Bob went through and broke down and diagnosed what was wrong with Mark's motor. To someone who knows nothing about motors, that was very interesting! That would be an easy mistake for anyone to make, and you probably just helped several other people want to pay close attention and install those correctly. Take those tube chassis full race pro mods 150K cars out,and watch the stock chassis ,steel cars with minor fiberglass, with original Firewall like the Falcon and S-10 with the safety gear needed that have been priced out .Yes will enjoy it made for us the non-wealthy racers enjoy it again.
That's all fine and I'm not hating on these guys at all, but that falcon is not stock type suspension. Falcons did not come with 4 links and struts. SO, how can you let it in a stockish class and keep out any other cars that are 4 linked? It's definitely a grey area for rules but call a spade a spade and move on.
So where do you draw the line? If your letting 4 link fabbed up cars in, how are you gonna argue with some of these x275 cars that have taken over small tire? (Not all of these are tube framed full blown race cars) This is the whole problem with no prep. There's so many different types of cars trying to compete, how do you make classes and get good car counts? And yes, you have to take in account suspension!!

I wear a continuous glucose monitor it connects to your phone by Bluetooth and will notify you if his glucose is getting to high or low so you can do something about before ending up on the floor. Mine is a Libre freestyle 3. Something you may want to look into for him

Hell, I used JB weld on a four cylinder Chevy in a boat with a large crack. That was thirty years ago and it still works.

Also put screens in the oil passages in your block. Lost a few adjuster nuts off the rocker arms in my time, but was saved by the screens every time!
Would think the screens would be a pretty big restriction to normal oil flow.

Yup, gas carb with ethanol free fuel. That gentleman has other things to worry about.

He was having overheating issues in the summer, so they switched, he just hasn't been able to drive it routinely.

I wear a continuous glucose monitor it connects to your phone by Bluetooth and will notify you if his glucose is getting to high or low so you can do something about before ending up on the floor. Mine is a Libre freestyle 3. Something you may want to look into for him
My wife wears one and it has proven to be a very effective tool for managing diabetes.
