      @kathykb8123 you act like because I have a pantry full of food that I am stealing food from you or others. Preparedness does not take food from others, as a matter of fact it allows me to bless others. Why are you so bothered by my pantry and freezers? If you watch my channel you will know this pantry got us through a time earlier this year when my husband wasn't getting paid and currently I only shop minimally. Food security is a blessing and it takes a lot of hard work to prepare food and shop sales. I am not sorry you are bothered by our preparedness and I will not apologize for taking care of my family. Please take your hatred elsewhere.

      @@SnowGardener You have enough food for an army. Let me know in 5 years how much of that food you have left and how much of it is expired, because you weren't able to use it. You want to eat a box of cereal that expired in 2018, you go right ahead. Nothing like food hoarding. 🙄

    “I did not clean my fridge” - Dear, your fridge looks pristine compared to mine! 😂❤
    My father grew massive amounts of sweet corn every year when I was growing up and we would freeze a ton. He and my mom still do (40lbs last year!). They par-cook it, on the cob, and then cut it off the cob to put into freezer bags. As for the left over cobs, I’ve used them to make a great summer veggie soup. They add a nice, subtle and refreshing sweetness to the broth.

    🌽: blanch the cobs, dip in ice water, and cut off kernels. Lay kernels flat on sheet pan to flash freeze. Then bag for freezer. We did a sack of cobs last summer - which was about 6 dozen. Lots of work, but so yummy all year round. Your freezers/pantry are FULL! Curious if you will ever stop stockpiling so much?

      Thank you for the suggestion on corn! I have actually downsized my pantry greatly over the past year; however, I will always have a large pantry. This pantry saves us a ton of money. Living in a small town with 1 grocery store where items are often out of stock or overpriced means I will always shop this way!

    Hi Marlene 👋 You look beautiful as always my friend ❤ Omgoodness, I haven't seen Tang in forever and I like Tajin too. Your fridge looks so much better than ours. We have a cheese drawer with everything in it, too, and yes, we, too, are condiment keepers 🤣 Ours is a mess. Our freezer is a mess, too, both of them. We need to do some serious clean out. Tillamook cheese was just ranked as the #1 cheese. It's not the healthiest, but better.
    I used to be 5'5-1/2", but I know I've shrunk a little 😢
    Can you come organize for me now and teach my hubby to organize? 🤣 Since I got sick, most everything is a disorganized mess, and it's driving me nuts! Hello furbaby 😺
    Omgoodness, you definitely have a stockpile of foods. We do, too, but I wanna cry it's so unorganized. My sis-n-law is going to come help me, because I want to donate lots of our stuff before it expires and I know we'll never eat it all. We buy when things are on sale and then forget we have it.
    I'm gonna keep on watching, but for the sake of not writing a book, just know I love you and hope you have a safe and happy week. 💜

      My hubby loves Tang! Tillamook cheese is one of my favs! 💜💜 Haha...I need to teach my hubby to organize too! 🤣🤣 I often donate things I buy on sale to our local food pantry. Food insecurity is a big problem in our country. I wish more people knew how to shop and food prep better. Inflation is only making things worse for a lot of people. Shopping sales and keeping a pantry can make a huge difference. Even a small pantry with a few weeks of preps can help a family so much! I hope you are feeling better now. Hugs to you!

      @@SnowGardener interesting. We have liquor stores, but also 99.9% of convenience stores and grocery stores had a liquor section as well. And if all else fails, the bars will sell off-sale liquor if you're in a pinch.

    • @ErinBudgetsAimlessly
      @ErinBudgetsAimlessly 3 месяца назад +1

      @toebeanbudgets here in Queensland (AU) all of our bottle shops are separate from grocery stores, but in other states like New South Wales they are combined. I grew up in California though and it was common to have the alcohol section in the shop, or even the 7-11! When I briefly lived in North Dakota it was split out as well with the exception of Walmart being the only to carry both groceries and alcohol; but you could also buy cases of beer or full bottles of liquor at the bar! Funny how the laws change from place to place. I had to travel to a dry county in Arkansas once. That was an interesting experience!

    • @SnowGardener
      @SnowGardener  2 месяца назад

      Walmart has liquor stores here in Wyoming but they are technically a seperate store. You walk through another set of doors and have to check out in that section. 😁
