I think you did great! I would consider eggs as fresh produce! I haven't bought eggs in a long time because I refuse to pay those prices. And those (at least in my stores) are * not large eggs. They are what medium used to be. But my neighbor's brother has chickens who are laying and he brought me a dozen a couple of weeks ago and then 18 the other day. He won't let me pay him. Says he would rather give them away!❤ They are different colors ... unwashed, so I can display them. And they taste so good!

I'd consider eggs under the dairy section, but it also is a protein source. So basically you are good either way. 😂

Hey Marlene, I recently started storing fresh produce in mason jars and vacuum sealing them. Then I just put in the fridge. It’s been working amazing I have lettuce mixes that are still good after 2 weeks! My new way I absolutely love it and everything is there and ready for me! Just thought I’d throw that in here since you had so much lettuce 💜

Definitely not a fail. Stockup when you see a good sale. Pantry challenge or not. You make your own rule’s. There going into your pantry and you will eat them from there. No problem 😉

Definitely not a fail! These are items you will use and you have a budget for it. By ordering online you probably saved more as you were not tempted in the store by impulse buys. You bought the things you truly needed. Thanks for sharing.

people in youtube comments kept bringing up Queen Abundance Secrets by alex lane, and i just ignored it for weeks. i figured it was just another trendy self-help thing. but the more i saw people saying how much it helped them, the more i got curious. when i finally gave it a shot, i could see why. it’s simple but real, and it made me rethink how i go after the things i want. i’m not saying it’ll work for everyone, but it made a difference for me.

I saved a bunch of money this week by simply not going to the store. Except for going to pick up some presctiption refills, I haven't been anywhere. I had a grocery list made out, but after looking at it, I realized that I didn't *need anything on it. I *wanted some cherries, but they can wait. I *wanted some ground beef for $2.99, but I'm pretty well stocked on it. So I won't starve if I don't buy groceries for a week. Considering the weather forecast for tomorrow (snow!), I am planning several soups, as well as Red Beans and Rice.😋

Eggs- 6.89 for a dozen. Burger is about $5.00-6.89 ish. We have cabot cheese here that I tend to only buy on sale for like 2/$6 but I typically will stick to store brand. (Food Club, Best Yet) Philadelphia cream cheese is insane here!

I lucked out last week and found eggs for 3.99 a doz. Grabbed me couple.

The price of eggs where your at is mind boggling to me. In store for an 18 pack it’s 3:49 or I can get them from my co-worker, fresh yard eggs, for 2.50. Y’all need a chicken coop!

From what I understand about the challenge, you can make your own rules ( which I remember you did). Restocking the pantry items should be ok. One You Tuber made a large Azure Standard purchase, but she didn't count it because she didn't use any of it during the challenge. I think you are doing great. I don't blame you for taking advantage of all of the sales. Maybe they ought to move the challenge to a month they don't typically have sales LOL

It’s not a failure if you have saved money. Just put it all aside and don’t use it til after the challenge. I don’t think it’s wise to use up your stock and pass on sale items that you would purchase normally. I know Jessica does it to purchase something specific with what she would normally spend on groceries. Each family has different needs. Wise purchases.

I’m a newbie here…but not at threerivers. It’s not a fail. I believe that each of us have our own goals for this pantry challenge. I’m in the challenge too and my goals are not exactly like everyone else’s. You did good!
