Wow. That was my first ship I sailed on. It’s funny while I was on that cruise I won a free cruise, I could choose a 3,4, or 5 day cruise and of course I picked the 5 day and went to the Bahamas.
My first cruise ever was on the Fantasy Class Ship. It was the Fascination! Honestly I dislike the ship! It was small and I felt every wave in the ocean. That ship had me walking sideways. I promised God and all of his angels I would not sail a small ship again and I didn't. So, let me say this ParoDeeJay you make ever ship experience a fun one and that is what enjoy the most. I can't travel right now because of work. However, when I have Spring Break and my big summer vacation I hope to be able to travel like you! I really enjoy your excursion too! Thanks so much for showing your good times. I feel like I am traveling with you!
If you're flying into Orlando and heading out to Canaveral the day before your cruise, like most people, Go Port is only helpful if you stay in a hotel included in their package. If you have your own hotel booked outside of their package and all you need is shuttle from MCO to Port Canaveral the day _before_ the cruise and then shuttle from Canaveral back to MCO the day the cruise ends, good luck.
Elation was our last cruise before the shut down. We were in U53, ocean view. It was a connecting room and was a little bigger than what you have. Loved the big shower. It really looks nice with all of the upgrades. I would sail on her again, but my husband said that that ship was a little too small for him. We really like the Liberty.
Bringing back some fond memories! Our first 3 cruises were on the Elation! Love that ship, gonna have to go see about sailing on her again! So looking forward to seeing more!
I Love the smaller ships!...I started out cruising on the Carnival Tropical (don't thinks it's in service anymore) Can't wait to start cruising again!...Have a great time!
Good evening, do you guys remember if there is a steak house on board or a cucina, I watch the series the other night. Don't remember seeing either on board in the videos. I'm getting mixed answers from Google. Ty guys for all of your vlogs, we are going on her in October.
I have been waiting so long for Monday because I knew y'all would have a great video and I the elation has always been one of my favorite ships in carnivals fleet!!! Thank y'all for a great video and I'm only mins into it but don't worry I always like and watch the whole video over and over again :)
The elation was my one and o ly cruise in 2019...hope to get to cruise again one day..I loved the elation..took my granddaughter with me..5 days to half moon cay and Nassau..I had a blast..we had an ocean view room as well.
This brings back memories of my first Carnival Cruise on the Elation 12 years ago. Love the New York theme decor with the Chrysler Building and Statue of Liberty head. Wow...I just cried a little. 🤣🤣🤣
Fun times!! So glad to see you enjoying the older ships…they need love too!! Was the cabin that Dee didn’t want the stinky one? Much love to you both. 🥰
That is a cute cruise ship! The room looks a little smaller than I would like for my cruising experience, but other than that, I think I would love to experience this ship! Thank you for sharing your adventures!
I truly love these old beauties! Looking forward to the Mardi Gras in under 4 weeks but can't wait to be on the Legend and the Freedom later this year.
Fantasy class ships are our favorite. Sad to think that after this year, there will be only 2 left 😔 The Facsination was our favorite. Sailed on her 3 times.
Love these so much! I watch all of them! Can you tell me where you get your testing done? We are cruising in a little over 50 days for the first time since the pandemic out of cape canaveral! We are soooooo excited!
So where do they do the comedy show at now. The comedy lounge was at the back of the ship in October 2019. So did that new part get built during Covid?
Awesome post. I'm glad to see it still retains those crazy Joe Farcas designs with the awesome new upgrades as well. Happy to see the Elation is going to survive.
I can see my reflection in my monitor. It's turning green, it's just a shame that you two get to live this life! Whaaaaaa! Sailing almost every week! For Shame!
I use a CPAP and find it amusing that an older ship has an outlet near the bed to plug it in and the newest, all newest technology ship Mardi Gras doesn't. We had to get an extension cord for my CPAP. Lol
The ship looks ok but I am excited to get a better ship than this sailing out of Jacksonville at last. May be able to get on a cheap cruise on the Spirit once it starts sailing from here.
So the first night is casual so you can wear jeans? Also what time is the show? Do you have to reserve a time for show. Is there one or two shows at night?
Normally, they don’t care much the first night because they realize folks might not have received their suitcases in time to change for dinner. No show reservations are needed at all… doors open about 30 minutes prior and it’s general seating. There should be two showtimes each night, typically around 7pm and 9pm.
Sailing on the Elation in August. I think sailing on these Fantasy class ships is cool - you’re part of history because soon they will be no more. Looking forward to any tour of this ship. I’m excited for August and would love to see what Elation has to offer. ~Inge 😺
@Sea Cats - Welcome to Jacksonville for your cruise! I hope you get a chance to look around our city. I'll probably see you on your way out as my route to/from work has me crossing the Dames Point bridge (the ship passes under it while leaving port!).
@@jema2609 Unfortunately, our ship changed to the Freedom and we are still leaving out of Port Canaveral. But hopefully, we’ll get to sail on the Elation and out of Jacksonville in the future 😀 ~Inge 😺
We sail on the Pride (first time on Carnival) in March. We are vaccinated. Online Carnival shows we need to be Covid tested at least 2 days before sailing & must have printed results in hand to board. We fly out from Baltimore Thursday afternoon (we work in the morning), spend Friday in Tampa, & board the ship on Saturday. Do you have any recommendations where to get tested? We are concerned because in our home area it is taking so long to get results. Also, if we rent a car at the Tampa airport on Thursday, we have to return it there on Saturday. Is the best way to get to the cruise port via Uber? Thank you! Love your videos!
Ooooh, we haven't! I'll have to search them up. We're still trying to find a place that offers a parking package for the length of the cruise, free breakfast, and maybe even shuttling. That seems to be tough to find in Miami for us so far!! :P
Can you guy tell me if a negative covid test are still required 2 or 3 days before boarding? I want to book a cruise in September but if I can't get tested in the required time, I guess I am out of luck.
I was on this cruise with you! I passed by your room so many times on this cruise and didn't even notice it was your room! You didn't have your sign up🙂
Hello. I was wondering about how many passengers were on this cruise (an estimate)? About what percent capacity was it running would you say? We have a trip coming on the elation soon and I was wondering how busy we should expect it to be in “coronal times” 😁
When they started the Fantasy class, they would reference each deck by its name rather than number… Riviera, Main, Upper, Empress, Panorama, etc. Turns out numbers were a LOT easier so they phased that out, hah.
Question Ding Dong how does Go port deal with back to backs? Do they just charge a set price for the additional days of parking? If you do not need a second hotel stay.
OMG. I think we had a Michael as room attendant on Radiance in February 2021 or 2022. He remembered EVERYONE'S names and preferences. He was awesome!
The serenity looks awesome- I would be spending a lot of time at the serenity
Flashback. The Elation was my first ship. Back then the top deck at the whale tail was a topless area. Good ole days.
Perfect timing for these videos. We sail the Elation for a second time in seven weeks!
Bigger is not always better. That ship has a lot of personality and very well maintained. Thanks for sharing.😎
Wow. That was my first ship I sailed on. It’s funny while I was on that cruise I won a free cruise, I could choose a 3,4, or 5 day cruise and of course I picked the 5 day and went to the Bahamas.
OMG! That’s me doing Bingo and waving at the camera with Houston hahahaha thank you for being so awesome! Hope to ‘sea’ you soon! 😁🛳
“Coronial times”……you may have coined a new phrase there, Jay😂
So clever!
We loved the Elation and Fantasy class so will certainly enjoy this series.
Do love the decor with the wood and the Art Deco vibe. Gives it more originality than the more modern and slick designs.
We were on the Elation in 2018 for our honeymoon and absolutely loved it. The grand suite with extended balcony was worth every penny!
My first cruise was on the Elation. Brings back memories. Thank you for posting.
My first was on imagination

My wife and I sailed the Elation in January also! We had a blast!!

Hi! We love the vista class ships. We are sailing on the Miracle in March 2023 I’m a bit nervous 😬 so I’m anxious to watch this series!

Elation was our first cruise ever (out of Jacksonville) in 2018, so I'm a little partial to it! :) Enjoy your cruise!
I love watching these guys. Its so nice to see the care and love they have to each other. Dan from Australia
Enjoyed this very much! It is fun to see the differences between a line's ships. We cruised to the Bahamas on the Carnival Glory over Christmas.
I do enjoy the fantasy class ships- Thank you for the video!

Ok, now I feel the urge to rewatch those old Ecstasy vlogs!
How cool in Dec. 2019 we had Nano Prado for the piano bar on the Sunrise! So enjoyed going there!
Tugging on my heart strings. I worked on her in 2005 but I live in Australia so I could only dream of getting back on her or any ship.
Dee, I love your anchor sweater! So cute!
What a great ship. Excited for the rest of the series. Thanks for bringing us along.
We’re on the Elation in April. So excited!!

We use the at-home tests from either eMed or Optum that we did a couple of videos on back even cruising restarted. They’ve served us well!! :D
So where do they do the comedy show at now. The comedy lounge was at the back of the ship in October 2019. So did that new part get built during Covid?
That is the BESTEST elephant ever. We are hoping to cruise out of Mobile soon before they pull the ship til late 2023. Enjoyed this
Jay, just because you put a pile of meat and cheese in a bowl does not mean you have created a salad. lol. Maybe a ParoDeeJay Psuedo Salad? 😄
Eh, it’s traditionally known as “not-a-salad” in our old vlogs, ha ha… :P

Nothing to be proud of but back when I smoked I believe I was the first person to smoke on the Paradise in Long Beach. Oh the memories. HaHa
You stopped calling in Serene-TAY?!!! :P

How full was the ship? Will be on this ship in Aug 2022 w/Edna's World groupcation!
I’m surprised that if they remolded this ship they would have replaced the shower curtain with a shower door
Love GoPort
Carnival need to improve food. Loved socks 🧦
You both are so fun and just so happy . I love watching you guys and yes Im kind new here lol .
Dee, what brand is your sling backpack? I’ve been looking for one like that.
It was a gift from a recent Mail Monday episode, but I believe it came from Amazon. I’ll have to see if I can locate a branded tag on it!! :D
Missed you guys!
We didn’t hear that noise in our cabin on the Radiance. My kids had their ears covered and nothing!

Dee I LOVE your anchor top! So very cute. I have not tried carnival yet but I want to. I have only been on Royal Caribbean.

Since we sailed Carnival before Disney, they’re up first. Disney will be next week!! :P

It’s not far from the port there. Also the place has good reviews.

Yes, as of right now, a negative test is needed before boarding.
Oh No...not the pineapples...lol
Which deck do you recommend? Upper or lower cabin?
Low deck midship is usually the least motion, and that’s our preference.

I must have missed something. What was up with cabin 109?

This was our very first cruise ship years ago!
Y'all gonna try and get on all the remaining Fantasy class before they disappear?
All we’re missing is Paradise at this point, of what’s left!!
Covid RIP .. hope you get to sail the last one soon !!!
What is special about U109?

About 1100 on our sailing which I think is about 50%.
Are those fancy new doors magnetic ?
What’s the deal with U on the room numbers on this class of ship?

Dee, where did you get that shirt??? I love it!
It was originally from Walmart but I found it on Poshmark a few years ago.
You need to License "Coronial Times"
Sure is alot on there to be a small ship
Miss the Fantasy Class.
what happened to the disney magic blogs
We sailed Disney after Carnival, so those vlogs will be up next week!! :P
Could yall list your top 5,7, or 10 cruise ships, so we can get an idea where to go next.

what floor is "U"? like Under?
“Upper”.
What's the importance of U109?
That’s a recurring joke from our Carnival Ecstasy series in 2019!! :P
Thank you for asking Megan and now I'm going to hunt down the ecstasy videos!
