- Replacing a massive drive shaft in a 1910 Case steam engine. It's awesome to help Keith Rucker and the Florida Flywheelers get this historic machine back up and running.

I think your son has a great sense of humor. He will be a great dad some day with that sense of humor.
I LOVE Smokin Sally
Beau reminds me of my oldest son when he was that age. He's 42 now and has a couple of snarky teenage boys himself. They are getting grandpa's revenge for me LOL!
THAT is a lot of welding on that shaft.
Thank you for the welding class at EAA. Thoroughly enjoyed it. I was at your first class on Monday. You did a great job teaching that 11 year old girl how to weld aluminum! She sure was proud of the sample piece.
Great to see your back to making videos.
Thanks for sharing. Glad to see you back
Good morning 🌅
my favorite kind of big gears
Just name it Awesome
THANKS
Wonder where he gets it from LOL! Good to see back on RUclips brother.
Beau got you. Lol!
Awesome video. It so cool to see old steam tractors in action
Ah! I watched Keith & Brian's videos on the repair of these very parts. I'm just now catching up with the installation here. I wondered what happened- sorry I'm late to the party.
great video. love to see old mechanical things work. how about "commander casy" ?
Thanks for sharing 👍
Steaming case
Live in Wauchula and watched them sawing wood back in 2016 with I think it should be called "Puffin Joe". I do like Smoking Sally! Great Video!
Smoke them if you got them.
👍
Sally
id call it Stephen
Nice video did the mill get its own seat on plane back from California
It's already in my shop......
I thought that was Old Toots.
Hello Jim. Thanks for a great video. My son and I met you are Fab Tech in 2018 in Atlanta. Will you be in Atlanta for Fab Tech this year?
old Lizzie
By prept i assume it's already been assembled and taken apart.
Pulled out of the barn, all the parts unboxed and cleaned and degreased.....the usual stuff.
great video, thanks for sharing.I have a question, by no means am I knocking anyone... I would have thought the shims would go in the other way around so as the babbit wears you can loosen the nuts & pull put a shim without having to totally remove the cap?
It was assembled the way it was disassembled.
In the grand tradition of allowing social media to name scientific research ships, I offer Smokey McSmokeface. But only as a tribute to the ineffable Boaty McBoatface. I don't want your tractor named that.
Lol....but it's not my decision
Do you take in work for repairing a cast aluminum band saw wheel that has cracked?? I have a old Jet band saw and the lower wheel has cracked. It's still in one piece, and looks as if someone tried pulling it off while the retaining nut was still in place. I can email a picture if it helps.
