    I just joined on with first student. It’s a job nobody can understand until they sit behind that wheel. I love those kids

    awesome job joanne, I too work for first in Toronto and am completing my 2nd year with the company. it is a daily challenge with cars and the students I take can get loud as well. I like driving and most of the students are friendly. you are an inspiration to me for a long career with first. well done

    After years of long haul trucking I started driving the School Bus. I only had to put 2 in there place today. I barked SIT. They sat.

    First Student lost their contract with my school district because they kept recycling old buses that kept breaking down all the time.

    Seems the Canadian side of Laidlaw *cough* I mean First Student seems to get more special attention than the fleet and drivers in the states. This is an Ontario division of First.

    Wow, she don't start till 6:30? The first student location I work at in Kansas starts at 5:00 for our drivers.even earlier for the dispatch team coming in at 4:00.

    I love buses and have always wanted to be a bus driver since I was a kid. However, the districts around where I live don't pay enough. I make $15.50/hr at my current job and the School District only offers $12.00/hr. How do they expect people to pay the bills?

    • @wagil90
      @wagil90 7 лет назад +3

      markgloverville are location the pay ranges from 16-18. And your guaranteed 30 hours a week. we have about 177 days of school in our district

      ur district schools may take students on field trips that require bus service, u should look into that - that pays by the hour, a lower way for those starting but long u stay, the more u get. u can also pick up other jobs within ur division, you shud look into that too. I did...I turned my part time job of just doing runs, into a full time job between the runs. it is possible - at least here in toronto

    Hopefully the drivers for First over there are not rude and miserable and don't turn up late everytime. Here in the UK our First drivers are miserable and don't speak!

    how many drivers fail not to stop?

    • @MrNice1966
      @MrNice1966 7 лет назад +2

      majority of drivers I encounter in Toronto, do stop for me - afraid NOT to, the fines here can get up to $2000 and 6 demerit points if caught and convicted, that scares most into obeying the law.
