Thank you for making that! I just learned about it from this video. I have a friend who's working on making a board game. I'll have to get one for him for Christmas. As someone who does creative writing, my first thought was to have one for various story ideas, too, though something like that might have to be home brewed for the time being 😅
Loved the unboxing et all. Thanks for sharing your knowledge about Game Crafters. The VHS box is what Gabe uses for all his ‘Solo of the Month’ games that he is currently crowdfunding. It’s such a cool idea to have a series of games that each fit in their own case. Nice shelf presence too! The “blank cardboard” bundle looks fun, especially the 8 X 16 folding board. The “small tins” are also cool. I can definitely inspire so small footprint game designs. But what I’d really love is the “Fail Faster Journal”. I saw this a while back but cost of shipping at the time prevented me getting it. So I’ll put my name in the hat for these as my three picks and cross my fingers for the journal. 🤗🤞🏻
It's awesome to see The Game Crafter get mentioned in the wild. I designed a game with a friend of mine a few years back and we used TGC for our physical prototyping as well as ongoing print on demand sales. It's wonderful how stress free it is to be able to have it for sale without having to worry about storing extra physical copies.
That's awesome that you discovered this years ago! I wish I had known about it earlier. It is such a great resource, and like you said, way less stressful than overseeing the manufacturing and shipping all on your own. I am seriously looking into this as an option for a future game of mine. We will see! Thanks for watching and for the comment 🙌
Yay to Game Crafter for sponsoring and doing the give away! My favourites were the blank 4 fold board since it would be ideal for 1 of my games at the moment, bag of bits since they just seem like idea starters too, and the fail faster journal since it should be on every designer's shelf. Another great video with fun energy!
Recently found this channel and it's been quite inspiring to watch and follow along. The fail faster, the bag of bits and the game box were my favorites, in that order :)
OMG!! 😍🤩 I want to say the board game ruler is my fav but I saw the holo-card and now I'm making a game that uses that card!!! Watching the blurb about the fail-book is great!!! I love it and always challenge my play testers to break my game!
Fun and excellent video! The Game Crafter really supports the game design community! Love the cool stencil! Hopefully aspiring game designers will include Pam in their design process- often new games require a bit of tweaking to streamline and reduce the redundancy and overall price of materials from Game crafter. Game on!
Mystery box time! Thanks for the fun little video 😊. The Game Crafter's repertoire of stuff just keeps expanding! I think the idea of doing a crowdfunding project through them sounds like a really neat idea; I'd love to hear about some people's experiences doing that. The stuff from the box that piqued my interest the most are 1) the stencil, 2) the journal, and 3) the cardboard bits (especially the dials and the fold-up board).

Hi Ira! I haven't made it out to Smithers, but I really want to explore more of BC and hope to make it out there one day. That is great you got some of your ideas out of your head and onto the table, great work!! That is a huge first step. And I'm glad you didn't let the first idea that didn't work out discourage you, that is a great sign and is one of the best qualities a designer can have. Keep me updated on your design progress! Great video as always Pam! 1) Definitely love a bag of bits! Back when I worked at a used book store, I'd keep random bits and dice from old board games we had to discard. Even have a couple of Mint games myself! 3) That journal is such an awesome idea! It's so easy to get absorbed in everything going on through playtests that you may forget all those details you shoud be paying attention to like the duration of the game. A great product

I'd love all the stuff but the Bag of bits and Ruler and Mint tins would be the most useful
@@WardNightstone yes you could do a lot with those 3! Thanks for watching and good luck 🤞
1 Cardboard Bits (especially those gears and score spinner things)
2 Fail Faster Journal
3 Bag of bits
@@JonnyLuscious great choices, Jonny! Good luck🤞
Hell yeah, bring back VHS boxes.
🤘
1) Stencil
2) Fail Faster Journal
3) Bag-o-Bits
@@Derek-le4er great choices, Derek! Thanks for watching and good luck🤞
Wow. That stencil looks very useful. (Hint hint) does Gamecrafter sell that?
They do! It’s called the Game Designer’s Ruler
Amazing video as always! I love all the components so much, and have used game crafters for some of my projects.
1. Counter
2. Stencil
3. Game box (is it magnetic bound?)
Thanks so much for watching! And no, the game box isn't magnetic bound, it closes by clicking together. I already announced the winner, but if I don't hear from them soon I will do a redraw!
So far I've been using just my own components for prototypes, but self publishing is definitely a no-no for me, way too much stuff. I like the volume discount crowd sourcing option, that is actually incentivizing folks to share the hype of games they support 🤔
@@nowanilfideme2 I agree! Such a smart system that naturally encourages backers to share the game with others. Thanks for watching and for the comment 🙌
Is this a product they sell or a custom order?
These are all products they sell 🙌
