The hip drop tackle rule will ruin many games this season
The issue I find is they keep punishing/tweeking the way defenses tackle and play, yet do nothing to the offensive side of the ball. If the NFL is going to ban a tackle, then they need to allow late hits on a scrambling QB. They cannot keep skewing the game to the Offense
@@elscruffomcscruffy8371The NFL has restricted the offense in the name of safety. They've eliminated certain high-low combo blocks and a few others. Not nearly as much as they've restricted the defense, of course, but not nothing.

@@Reynar7 He was on a run heavy team in Baltimore, Murray was injured in Arizona... Hollywood hasn't had a chance to truly shine yet!! I think with coach Reid drawing up some play's for him... he's going to be taking the top off the defense!!
@donnacochran3335 He had over 1000yds receiving in Baltimore but had to get 91 receptions with a 45% catch rate to get there. He's always been a sub %50 receiver.

The Ravens were on an all time historic pace last season before they gave Kansas City a ticket to the Superbowl. This should become the next great rivalry in the AFC and the Ravens are certainly looking for their revenge.

Wasn’t this one of the games Rich said was least likely to be the opener? He predicted it would be the Bengals and I would tell you I told you so, if I had actually posted my thoughts about it then. But take my word for it 😏 I knew it wouldn’t be the Bengals. It would’ve been the Chargers before it’d be the Bengals. This selection is not surprising to me. I thought it’d either be this or the Texans. The NFL would rather have this AFC championship rematch played this early in the season than what has become probably the biggest out-of-division rivalry in the league in the Bengals-Chiefs. There was no way they were playing that game this early in the season. It’s been late in the season the last three years (shame Burrow wasn’t around to play in it last year) and it will continue to be. It’s become a must watch matchup and one that will typically have huge implications late in the season. Not only should the NFL want it late in the season but CBS will continue to fight to have it on their schedule.
Not sure where my reply went. Not seeing it. After watching the rest of the video, I see Rich sort of doubled down. I think he’s underestimating how much of a rivalry Chiefs-Bengals currently is. See Chase’s comments about wanting “anyone but the Chiefs” to win the SB last postseason or Mahomes clear frustration after losing a 3rd straight time to Cincy in 2022, as shown in Netflix’s Quarterback. No disrespect to the matchup with the Ravens. It’s a great one, featuring two MVP quarterbacks. But it doesn’t have the history (albeit brief) that Chiefs-Bengals does, with all the trash talk, close games and high stakes the last few years. Chargers would’ve 100% been a more likely matchup than Cincy since there’s at least a 2nd matchup they could have later in the season, even perhaps bookending the season. The NFL should want a game like Chiefs-Bengals later in the season. And you know CBS wants to hold on to it too.
Haha I’ll admit when I’m wrong. Bengals-Chiefs is week 2 in the late window on CBS. I guess it can’t be in the 2nd half of the season every year but I’m surprised it’s this early. Might as well have had it on opening night. But I guess CBS still didn’t want to let that game go.

I wouldn’t walk across the street to see an nfl game for free. The only interesting question is which team will win for ten years after Mahommes and the chiefs. Shows how stupid people are.
Heres a storyline: Mahomes gets smashed the opening week, a season ending injury. The world would lose their minds! Stories would run wild! Fans crying! The defenders banned from the game for hurting the NFL poster boy! And then by Week 4 we can move on from the Chiefs and focus on the other 14 teams in this league (Cowboys dont count either. More to life than the Chiefs
