HELLO FRIENDS!! here is our full stream from this week!! i hope you enjoy this romp into bizarre yet delicious instant ramen recipes -- we are sodium'd out over here, but very pleased!! lol. see you guys next week, same time, same place, for some more weirdness
For the chat chooses our ramen. Give two options (I.e. sweet vs savory) using recipes that are pre determined.
If you guys had a cooking show I would watch☺
Just so you guys know Land O'Lakes does make a lactose free half and half
I've never had Sriracha before, I love hot sauce, Buffalo sauce, and spicy food in general but Sriracha has somehow never made it into my recipes or condiment rotation. But now I think I might have to try it.
I'm watching this while eating ramen! I boil the Kimchi noodles, strain, and keep just a bit of the water. Then, I boil carrots, shallots, onions, and add the packets. I let it simmer, add in the noodles and add some shrimp as well as coriander! Yum!!
34:23 "here sweetie, pass it over here." MY HEART!!! I love their relationship smmmmm
You can take the student out of the dorm. But you cannot take the dorm out of the student.
The ned and Ariel reference oooooooof
I am a potter and own a studio a few hours away from Cristine and Ben! I would love to see you guys get on the regular pottery wheel! (And would love to send you some mugs as well!)
Omg this would be such a cool video with all 4 of them together!
Plz upvote this comment. I am already imagining this epic video.
I would literally be over the moon if they came to the studio!

when the whole Kylie ramen thing happened i was just shocked to find out that people really just be raw dogging their instant ramen. Like people were so amazed at the fact she added other things to it.
tbh, when i was a kid i just liked it plain, just flavor packet -- but nowadays i have to at least put an egg in there or something
@@safiyaandtyler same!! Good hard boiled egg & I’m trying to be more adventurous
Srsly first thing I learned to cook is exactly instant noodles and an egg😂I was like 7
When I have instant ramen I can’t be bothered. I really just boil water in a kettle and pour it on the noodles and add the flavour packages. Everything else would defeat the purpose for me. Takes no time at all. When i have like 10 minutes I’d rather roast some veggies and add rice noodles or couscous and add my own herbs and spices.
@@jokl89 I mean plenty of things you can add to ramen will take zero additional time. Like you can crack and egg in while the ramen is boiling or add like kimchi or nori or other stuff that's ready to eat right away anyways
Tyler is such a good combination of a great talker and a great listener. That’s a hard combo to find
Tyler's stirring style is pure chaos.
I'm very stressed by it, he breaks all the unspoken rules of stirring...
ASD speaking here
At one point in time we had 15 different kinds of cheese in the house (we really like cheese okay) and so I decided to make a 15 cheese Mac and cheese. Which indeed include cheese string poking out the top. It was amazing
That’s awesome! Our family loves cheese so we sometimes make it similarly, maybe not 15 kinds though!!
There's a time close to Easter in our household where we have a bunch of leftover different kinds of cheese and I always make a mix matched Mac and cheese.... It's soooo good
this is unironically an idea we've considered doing for the livestream!!! franken mac and cheese with every kind of cheese!! lol
@@safiyaandtyler oh it is amazing!
@@safiyaandtyler Move this to the top of the list omg!! 😂😂😂😂😂
POV. You are back watching this after they release their Stayed in every hotel in Vegas! Dreams do come true :)
Seeing Saf and Tyler interact as a couple but also as people working together makes me admire them more and more. :) I adore these two!
Tyler your head is adorable and you and Safiya are a gorgeous couple, the haters are wrong
i wasnt even aware of no haters lol
ITS SO GOOD TO BE BACK!!!! can’t wait for our vegas trip ❤️
I'm team barely cooked, broth-y ramen. My partner does his mushy, no broth. Trust me, this is a contention point 👀
Same. Mushy ramen is the worst. My husband eats his no broth, mushy, with butter and the seasoning packet. It's more like ramen porridge at that point.
@@kudzu_ ramen porridge 🤣 apt description
See, I prefer mine al dente and not mushy, but it depends on my mood, what I add to it. If I want dry ramen, I add butter and only use half a packet of the soup packet. If I want it soup-like, I use the whole packet, no butter, but I add a raw egg cracked into the boiling water while the noodles are cooking.
I like them both ways, it just depends on how I feel on a particular day
My husband likes it no broth and mushy also! Ugh!!
I’m Mexican and to our ramen we boil it and then pour some water out and add the flavor packet. then after it’s done and brothy we add some chopped onion, lime, and hot sauce 😍
That's how it's supposed to be eaten 😁
@@mabelann4568 I’ve seen a lot of people actually who don’t make it broth like though
Have you ever had posole ramen 🤤 it's heaven in a bowl
For the peanut butter ramen, I'd try Barg's Amino Acids instead of soy sauce and crunchy peanut butter. I'd try it myself tomorrow if I had not finished my ramen Saturday.
I love crunchy peanut butter with spicy ramen.
Sounds delicious! I just tried the recipe but with crunchy peanut butter, rice noodles, veg stock, celery and homemade Sriracha 🤯 🤯 blew my tastebud's minds
I'm not a fan of Bragg's personally as it tastes a bit too much of vinegar, I go for traditional tamari as a gluten free option instead. Still has more bite to it than the mostly-wheat shoyu, but you get that soy flavor and the actual fermentation that really elevates it. I've been doing this for years with creamy PB, never tried with crunchy for some reason. I'll give it a go next time hubby gets crunchy. 😋
You realize ramen is pretty much all gluten, right?
Add way more peanut butter and less soy
Patiently waiting for the sequel stream with Nutella Corn Ramen 👀
Amazing stream Yall
Welcome back!!
I really like to cook the noodles with the seasoning packet, a little bit of soy sauce and worcestershire sauce, strain them, then add philly steak style beef (like steak ums) then crack an egg in it.
Amazing job team .. well done to Saf & Ty, the crew and the mods!
🥺🖤
This was such a fun live! I'd love to see more geoguessr ones too, I love the "chill" lives just as much as the orchestrated ones!
My family has three food trucks in VA . It’s honestly an amazing scene to be in. We have been on shark tank (The Bumbling Bee Vegan Junk Food and Burger Bar) , won multiple awards on our food and my mom has created the first food truck association brought to Hampton roads! My sister even had a mobile hair salon until she moved to Colorado. We love our trucks lol 🤪 wanna run one, we got you!
Oh my the Ned and Ariel part did not age well
About the first one:
I am half Italian, half Brazilian, and a very common Brazilian tradition is to eat Ramen noodles with requeijão (Brazilian creem cheese)
I vividly just remembered my Italian grandma fighting my mom about why she let me do that, but it’s actually pretty good
Ramen, sandwich lunch meat cut into strips (scissors work), egg, burger spices, tiger sauce. Definitely rummaging through chat for ramen recipes 😁
Omg the comments on this in the live bit, you guys have a lot of patience. So many back seat cookers, if they didn't mess up a bit it wouldn't be as fun to watch.
at first I thought mayo on ramen would be disgusting but when I actually tried it I was so amazing by how creamy and tasty the ramen ends up. It's now my go to especially with spicy ramen
Oh man, yeah, mayo in ramen is SO GOOD! Butter is also a good addition, though I've never tried both at the same time.
oh, i definitely need to try it then!! ^^
The amount of people in the chat that kept commenting about the cheese on the sides are seriously so annoying
So happy to see yall again.
The food streams are my faves and Tyler's tangents are just so chaotic it vibes with my adhd
best start to 2022 i think
Good news! If that was real Parmesan (read: not the shaker stuff with cellulose) then it was, in fact, ✨NATURALLY ✨lactose free! This is because of the bacteria present which eats away the lactose sugars. Gouda and real Swiss are also naturally lactose free (also very old, hard cheeses like 7+ years) 😃
That’s interesting to know
BUT real Parmesan is NOT vegetarian 😅
@@Buhrinski1310 what? You sure you dont mean not vegan?
@@magdalene74 No not vegetarian as it contains animal rennet
My personal favorite is the egg, kewpie mayo, and garlic combo. Combine it with ichiban ramen and shin ramen and it’s AMAZING
I’m totally with Tyler on team soupy, slightly undercooked ramen! I’ve tried to do it without broth cuz the internet convinced me was always eating it wrong lol but I just find it too mushy that way. I like mine with garlic, green onion, siracha, and lime 😋
I'm a brothy ramen person too! I love cracking in an egg or two and adding some pan fried meat of whatever denomination.
Kikoman's low sodium is really good, tastes just like the original just not SO salty!
My aunt used to make noodles, drain them, add them to a sauce pan with fresh cabbage, frozen peas and corn, and the packet. Cook til cabbage is soft. It was delicious.
This stream made me so happy! It's fun watching y'all cook!
I started cooking my ramen with chicken/beef broth instead of the water. It’s soooo good and you can add the spice cubes. Also when ramen in almost done I crack and egg and let’s it cook (kinda over easy style) top with some spice and avocado slices
Roast beef ramen with green onions (or dried chives) with sliced mushrooms and cream cheese for a mock-stroganoff. You can also add a little barbecue seasoning/smoked paprika and cayenne along with a little blue cheese if you have it for a play on black and blue steak/burger. You can do it with the packet in the cooking water for a lighter taste, or by cooking the noodles first and then add the packet to a smaller amount of cooking liquid after partially draining the noodles. 🍜
The crafting and cooking streams are the most entertaining!! Keep on doing what you're doing 👌 😊
I've been doing the peanut thing for years. I typically mix the PB, soy, garlic, ginger, and maybe some chili powder and/or mirin in an unheated bowl and then stir in the noodles plus a little of the water straight out if the boiling pan.
I only add half of the seasoning packet to my noodles and that's the perfect amount for me. I've tried the peanut butter one before but I put some ground ginger in mine. And Texas Pete hot sauce because I didn't have Sriracha. I enjoyed it
I'm glad I'm not the only one that finds semi crunchy Ramen good. I prefer my cup of soups that way!!
Sending encouragement to anyone who was made to feel self conscious about their forehead by a careless comment from a stranger. There is no “normal” head shape; none of you look “weird,” I assure you!
Kept on watching and finished the video eventhough it was torture for me watching Tyler mix and stir because I just love them both. 😂

ARE WE GETTING A SIMPLYNAILLOGICAL x SAFIYA COLLAB????? FRANKEN HOLO TACO!!!!!! Why is no one else talking about this oh my fucking god
Actually holo taco made a limited editions of "franken" nail polishes in 2021!
@@clarinev4177 I remember that! But I was hoping that the two of them would do it together 🥺 it's been so long since we saw them together
Did anybody else have like in the early 2000s late 90s a “trend” go around their school of just eating the dry Ramen packets? people were bringing that for lunch and you just would open the end of the Ramen packet, pull out the seasoning dump that on your dry Ramen in the package and then hold the end closed and smash it with your hand into little bits and then like just eat The little pieces like you’re eating a bag of chips.
I love how they finally do some good food and both Safiya and Tyler get very possessive about who eats what. ramen is love 🍜
you should do a stream, similar to the pumpkin spice one where you try find and eat every ‘everything bagel seasoning’ foods!!
I have missed you two so much! I hope y’all had a good holiday and love to see you back on. 💜💜💜💜💜
So glad y’all are back!! I started watching the stream every Tuesday night before I go to sleep and I’m very much enjoying the routine. :)) All the best!
Tyler: Qdoba?
Saf: .... koobideh?
pls never change guys ahaha XD
It’s funny watching this video now and hearing you guys talk about your Vegas video that you might do, because I totally just watched your Vegas video today
The peanut butter ramen is similar to tantanmen Japanese ramen! So good
With all the fear of the laptop near the burner, would it be useful to get one of those desk arm mounts to put the lap top on and attach it to the side of the table. That way it can be accessible but be off the table. That way there’s no fear of damage to the computer.
Glad to see you back guys 💜
I like to make a garlic cilantro sauce to put in my ramen (must be cooked to al dente (about 2 minutes) , no more than a cup of water and the seasoning packet (for the broth). The sauce has (roughly) 4 bunches of cilantro, garlic paste or about 8 cloves of garlic, either 2 seeded jalapeños or about 10 good shakes of green Tabasco sauce, about 3 to 4 teaspoons of salt and then equal parts of lemon juice, white distilled vinegar and oil of your choice (personal preference is canola). I then blend in a Ninja blender until a vibrant but 1 color green (about 2 minutes).
Saf & Tyler PLEASE bring back the "BAT B!TCH" 🦇merch hoodie so I can purchase it!! I hadn't yet discovered your channel & I realllyyyy want one 💙💜🖤
I make peanut butter ramen frequently, but I add rice vinegar, toasted sesame oil, and instead of Sriracha, I use chili garlic paste. It creates a great depth of flavor.
The peanut butter ramen is my absolute favorite. I'd say lower the soy sauce and add a hint of hot sauce for it to be on another level!!! Loved the stream as always! 💜
Tyler’s thesis of food trucks as metaphors for gentrification was a vibe.
ok the custard idea doesn't sound too bad. there's a traditional jewish dish called kugel that's basically bread pudding but with egg noodles instead of bread. it's really good and this reminded me that i haven't had any in a long time. i ought to make some soon, it's one of the things i miss most about potlucks at synagogue lol
So this is where the staying at all the Vegas hotels idea started
this was honestly one of my fave livestreams up to date, so excited for more recipe trying content!
I would be interested in a dessert ramen stream.
The sauce from the cereal hack is called Valentina and is very popular in Mexico, we eat everything with it and lime.
Thanks for another fun stream and first of the new year! Definitely a follow up instant ramen dessert hack recipes would be really interesting to do.
In my first apartment, i was so poor. Ramen was cheaper than a box of pasta. So I used it in place a noodles. Plus quicker to make. So i used it for mac & cheese and spaghetti and other meals. So i have been doing this since 2003
Tiktok kids discovering struggle meals 😂
I always show up late to the stream because I get off work about an hour into the stream. Whenever the stream ends, I start it over to watch the beginning and it’s hilarious to see how much the set changes from the chaos of Saf and Tyler. 🤣🤣
Fun fact - Kikkoman in the US is made in Wisconsin.
you did great guys, enjoyed watching the stream last night but i couldn't finish it cuz it was over midnight! (Normally i finish every stream even if it's late at night). Definitely going to try the peanut butter noodles 🍜
The Ned and Ariel comment had me like 😬…. No offense to Ty and Saf, all offense to Ned
Decision has been made by the chat. We get to pick ur next ramen flavors I say lipstick ramen
I love peanut butter ramen but i do peanut butter, soy sauce and sweet chili sauce instead. The sweetness really makes it good
Phew!! So glad y’all are back!!
I did the bagel one but with peas and carrots instead of the bagel stuff cause im allergic and its like a fried rice its so yummy
my instant ramen hack that surprises friends is adding miso (whether you have dried miso in a little packet or a tub of it in your fridge) to the broth. shin ramyun with miso (add flavoring packets to taste I usually use half of each). I also add soft boiled eggs, lots of soy sauce, spinach if there’s any in my fridge, steak sizzler cuts bc they’re super cheap and cook fast, and eel sauce which I make at home every couple of weeks since I finally nailed it
We love a stream that mentions Curb AND Try Guys 💜 Glad y’all are back!!
The garlic sizzling asmr made me realize how much I'd LOVE a whole stream asmr style. Cooking videos are the most fun but it could be anything like a soap stream or something!!!
Safiya & Tyler: *makes Ramen with PB, Sriracha, and soy sauce*
.....
Me: well I have rice noodles, hot sauce and salsa 🤔
10 minutes later...
I was eating the BEST pad Thai inspired noodles 🍜 😋
Thank you for making that recipe it truly inspired me and I am forever grateful 🙏
Actually the first time I bought Peanut Butter was primarily for using with ramen as a sauce add-in. Like, before I ever ate it on bread or anything.
Usually I prefer my Ramen with loads of broth though, and of course some add-ins. An egg for certain, also some spinach or bok choy if I can.
My love for Ramen in all forms leads me to try loads of hacks and receipies though! Always into new stuff.
I eat my ramen half soupy, half a packet of seasoning with a little pool of water and a giant dollop of cashew butter, like a quarter to a third a cup, it thins out with the water to be a drier noodle dish and I eat it with chicken, shrimp or beef depending on what's available in my fridge or freezer
8:00 that mug is from the Marshalls/Tj Maxx/ Homegoods line lol. I have the same one I got from my local Marshalls and I love it!
I love chicken ramen. I make mine by putting the noodle block in a bowl, sprinkle the seasoning on the block, then fill the bowl with water - and microwave it. I then let them sit & steam & absorb most of the water for about 20 minutes - It stays hot as long as it's covered with a plate & towel. I then add some cooked broccoli & carrots, maybe some mayo, but I don't add a lot of extras.
So I tried the third recipe, I'm actually eating it right now and OMG it's SO GOOOOOOOD!!!
I love to cook creamy chicken ramen with the packet and then add a three cheese blend! It soooo yummy, I highly recommend!
Hooray, you're back!!!! I absolutely LOVE your live streams!
Oof. The mention of Ned and Ariel 😢😮 Craxy that happened shortly after this video came out.
As someone who has a Surinamese family, putting peanut butter in noodle soup or on noodles just looks normal to me. Pindasoep / Pinda Bravoe (Peanutsoup) is a very common Surinamese dish.
I love adding cream and grated parmesean to spicy ramen - my favorite is adding it to samyang carbonara. soooo good!
FIRST STREAM OF 2022 I love yalls streams, this is the only lives that I watch!
I've taken a train across Canada! That's beautiful and a lovely time!
I missed you guys and Tyler’s hair looks good☺️
i missed the stream so bad this is what gets me though my extra long work days
I never get to watch these live because it would be 5am in Singapore time but I love the streams. I'm so happy yall are back from your break!! 💓💓💓
I missed this stream but I'm so excited because I have that same mug as the mug of the day and I use it all the time. 💜🖤💜🖤✨
I love the train across the country idea! Do it!
You two looked lovely. Glad you are back.
You are the best!! ❤️💕
