1:20 Is that another reason why Anime is popular in Japan? Because if you are being NPC, you watch Anime to live the freedom of expression that you wish you would have to share with the people around you.
They found this CEO killer right near my brother's house. I do agree with him when it comes to Tokyo. It is total NPC land, Where as in Tohoku and Hokkaido the people were much tougher, and more expressive. The people in Tottori and Shimane seemed more adventurous, In Shikoku and Kansai the people were very talkative and I felt like an NPC around them, they loved talking to Foreigners. In Saga, the people seemed very cliqueish, the young people avoided foreigners, and seemed to hang out in groups, the elderly in Saga loved talking with a foreigner though. In Beppu I recall the locals being quite racist, the Japanese people avoided foreigners, both old and young.
I live in Tohoku. It's a different lifestyle. My area is known for wrestling, judo, sumo, and a number of boxing & kick boxing gyms are in the area. One of the teachers of the Gracie family is from here. I visit Tokyo every 2-4 months staying for a week or two. If I was in that area, I would most likely live in Chiba-ken or Kanagawa-ken near Zama or in the Yokohama commuting area. As a regular visitor, I normally stay in Akihabara or Ikebukuro. The stations are major hubs so it's convenient. I liked Kobe and Osaka a lot. I used to visit those two places every week when I was living in Northern Kyoto-fu. Living in Japan is about finding your niche. I found mine doing a variety of martial arts (kobudo kali, kyudo & jujutsu), scuba diving & running a TTRPG gaming group. My lifestyle in Tohoku is different from the average salaryman in Tokyo. I like Hokkaido a lot too. I should visit there more. I don't travel much during the Tohoku winter (unless necessary) due to the amount of snowfall will cancel or delay trains and flights. Japan as a whole needs to change how it treats the everyday worker. Vacations, off days and hours of work should be enforced. It easier said than done.
“Plan” is a strong word for it. I agree with his sentiment. He is right. The same needs to happen in a lot places. But it’s not a plan. A plan would involve actual steps to bring about his vision.
I think the assassin guy probably just read a lot of Yukio Mishima and Bronze Age Pervert, and became enamoured with the high testosterone energy of their writing. Japan's politeness is not really NPC behaviour I don't think, but I can see how being too overly passive in behaviour can be detrimental. Sometimes life requires courageous action and risk taking, especially for young men, to achieve their potential.
if you want to see zombies go to eastern Europe...I've traveled all over and Japanese ppl are some of the more enthusiastic people I've met. Japanese people are just polite and quiet...but not dead inside like some other places where ppl are deeply grumpy
Ofc I've met some very human people. But they were not so many so much that I have very clear memories of those 5 or 6 people that I've met who were really original
There's certainly a lot of factors contributing the global decline in birthrates and one of the biggest reasons for this would have to be industrialism. I think these days people are just so overworked that it literally impacts their social skills and ability for pair bonding and I think I'm one of these people so I just toil and work and on my free time I don't even think about getting out there and I would rather just have my privacy at the end of the day.
Japan does seem based on fantasy. But you pay for it. So its not real. "But I really needed stimulation Though it was only my imagination It's just a fantasy (oh-oh-oh-oh) It's not the real thing (oh-oh-oh-oh) It's just a fantasy (oh-oh-oh-oh) It's not the real thing (oh-oh-oh-oh) Sometimes a fantasy (oh-oh-oh-oh) Is all you need, oh" - Billy Joel (Sometimes a fantasy)
Japan is not full of zombies. It's full of polite people that try their hardest to not inconvenience others. That's the culture difference. They'll always talk back, as long as you initiate. Those are the unspoken rules here, I've noticed.
He got so close to the point but failed. Its all from Japan's hyper capitalism which clashes with their traditional values... That being said, if he ventured out from the typical touristy parts of Tokyo hed see differently
It's odd to me how much people obsess over Japan birth levels when China, South Korea and Italy are lower, I rarely hear people talk about the birth rate in those countries. If you don't include immigrant population, many other countries are in a similar position as well, it's not a problem unique to Japan at all. It's kind of a problem caused by the way modern society is structured. Blaming vending machines and so on is just silly.
China is a completely different scenario because their population is already so high. I don't know anyone outside of China who wants their population to rise even higher than 1.4 billion. If anything their population decline is probably for the best.
It's really funny when you consider that Japan's total population is almost as big as Russia's yet you hardly ever see anyone talk about Russia's low birth rate. I really don't know what people expect out of Japan. Their country is smaller than California yet Japan's population is almost the size of a huge country like Russia.
But think about what caused the Japanese society to head down this direction. What was it about real interactions that made Japanese people realize that they would rather not talk to one another or avoid it as much as possible? Something about interacting with one another must have given them frequent suffering to where they had enough and just gradually not engaged in it, to where they invented systems and services to interact on a superficial level, to where it became the "norm". My guess is that when you express your feelings/ideas/beliefs and ideologies to someone, they usually have something to say about it in a criticizing manner, people usually will challenge your beliefs and even make a mockery out of it sometimes and even use it for gossip content. So people have evolved to keep to themselves, and it became a "culture".
I guess many young japanese going to megacities for better job possibilities AND to find a partner, because they don't like the very few options in their towns....
It's much easier than taking the risk of creating a company and providing job opportunities, especially when the Japanese domestic market is going to shrink quite allot during the coming years.

Thank you so much for watching guys 🥰 Japan needs to change...... not me 🤣

Because many people are obsessed with Japan.
It's easy to get attention just by doing a bait post about Japan on social media.
@@dddgddd-c7n Japan has anime and promotes itself really well, hence the attention.

Word for obedient is adult turned into an adjective
Well I also think like that Japan is peak NPC programmed in certain way they all do same thing evryone is more of a same like NPC have same behaviour
Yeah I mean…he’s not wrong
But if you don’t act like an NPC you are an aggro player
I wonder why discrimination against the Japanese is totally normalized on social media
Imagine if you say "all blacks are x" or "all women are x"
