Really top notch costumes and gear. The minor variations revealing individuality of the actors and their armorers is stunning and adds to the realism of the exposition. Beautiful colors, designs---- everything with a high degree of historical accuracy.
I like the fact that none of the riders are actually using stirrups (historically accurate since stirrups wouldn't have been in use until the early middle ages); nice touch! Not sure if intentional, but even the building in the background looks like it would have been a typical limes structure.

And mind you we practice only during weekends for less than five hours or more if we're out of time. Only a day per week for sixteen weeks and the last time I looked, we were already robots.
In case you are wondering it cost around 20k dollars to buy an entire roman armor set. Im talking about the best of the best equipment, not some cheap Indian reproductions, i mean craftsman that will take months or years to make your stuff using authentic methods and materials

Yup gotta show the testudo formation that was rarely ever used in Ancient Rome.

Yes but there are a Lot of more effective and original(but less famous) formations, like the triple asiex.
Slick Productions the only time I’ve ever heard of the testudo being used in battle was in a siege in the Gallic wars
