the saddest fact in hxh in my opinion is about illumi. he’s the oldest, meaning he was probably the “lab rat” for his parents’ torture methods, seeing what worked and what didn’t. all of that abuse made him psychotic and basically emotionless. he truly loves his siblings, but he wasn’t ever taught how to love correctly, and believed harming others was a way of love, which is why he and hisoka get along.
Ok this is random (and long) but reminds me of hbo series "succession". If you don't watch, the story is about abusive wealthy family (Roy's). The difference is the oldest son actually cares and love their siblings despite all neglect and abuse he receive. I feel like zoldyck and roy family have a little bit resemblance even tho on different business and world building.
Killua has said many times that he can create electricity without being hurt because he’s used to being electrocuted by his family for so many years 😭😭 AND NO ONE EVEN SAID ANYTHING-
@@SashMash Tsezguerra Also knew, because he was choosing who was capable of entering the game Whale Island. As Killua shows him his nen, Tsezguerra says "That's impossible, you would need years training your body to strong electricity" Then Killua says "I did when I was born" and honestly- That's sad.
Another sad fact about Hisoka: In the 1999 anime, a character that represents togashi himself in an episode stated that Hisoka was poor as a child. The only thing he had for food was "bungee gum" which he would chew for days even after it lost it's flavor.
He's also found beaten up on the streets in that one Ishida oneshot, and has an aversion to remembering/talking about the past There's few info on his background but they all seem to imply child abandonment tbh
Togashi assistant made a one shot sketch about hisoka, too. He was a teenager who start to work in circus, got targeted by co-workers because of his prodigy
@Jae ... Makes sense cuz Nen is determined by what object we're close to....like in case of Kurapika ... He practiced with chains until he could use chain as his nen power
Neferpitou is the only guardian that actually cares about Meruem feelings and supported his idea of getting name. However they are also the only guardian that didn't found out about Meruem's name
Yeah the red guard prolly didn’t care other than fulfilling his duties, the butterfly guard cared-ish about Meruem but he only cared about *The King* not Meruem himself as a “person” whereas Pitou cared about Meruem as Meruem as a person about his feelings, Poitou cared about his everything-now that’s the kind of guard I would want
Alright so Killua : -has been tortured for most of his childhood BY HIS FAMILY - was refused to be friends with other people his age ( kanari ) -was forced to kill people and put his life in danger - was manipulated by needles in his brain -has unreciprocated feelings for Gon -feels unworthy of Gon’s friendship -was emotionally manipulated by the threat of alluka being killed by other zoldyck And many more !!! Yeah !!! Ain’t that wonderful ?

I see some people complain and bash Leorio’s character, because he’s ‘weak’ and ‘useless’, but they forget Leorio doesn’t have the time on his hands like Gon or Killua, he actually has to study really hard to be a doctor WHILST learning nen and then somehow trying to balance out the two. Also, obtaining and possessing a nen ability and enhancing it the way Gon and Killua did (also if you include their natural talent as a whole) is EXTREMELY rare and Wing even explained his disappointment when he forcefully had to rush the basics (because Hisoka blocking the way and they only had 2-3 hours to get past him), and he also told Zushi that they are 1 out of a hundreds of millions. Most ordinary people like Leorio and Zushi learns nen at an ordinary and slower pace, but even being able to learn nen and obtain such powers is incredible! You gotta love how in the Yorknew Arc Leorio didn’t even know about the 6 different categories! Then in the Election Arc we see him use his Emitter abilities and give Ging the most satisfying punch ever in history! I love Leorio so damn much and I wish people would take him more seriously (sorry for the long rant)
You know what, I fully agree with you. He was a good character, the only problem was that he was placed with somewhat better characters. He is just a normal and relatable human and I appreciate that, unlike many people here.

I have a sad fact about a few ig Gon: gon was left by his dad and raised by his aunt mito. Except, mito raised gon out of pity. It soon came to the fact where gon grew to be curious about his fathers location, he then became a hunter. All the hard work and almost dying at least 4 or 5 times just to find out his own dad doesn’t want to see him. And gon’s rage almost cost him his life, and his motives kept changing throughout the show because notice that almost every season he loses someone and risked his life for them even if he knew they were dead. Gon cannot accept that. Killua: killua is probably one of the hxh characters who went through a lot of emotional physical and mental damage. He was raised to kill and tortured daily to the point where he grew to think it was normal because he never experienced a normal loving family nor childhood. When killua and gon became friends killua saw gon as his light and he always tried his best to put his life into keeping his light glowing. As we all know, killua is somewhat suicidal about the fact that he betrayed his first ever friend/loved one, he was also willing to do everything in the chimera ant arc before the fight, (SPOILER) he almost risked his entire life after the fight with the ortho twins. Illumi: illumi was often seen as emotionless, overly and creepily obsessed, and strong. Illumi obviously became emotionless for a reason, which means the family probably tested their torture for killua on illumi. As you can see illumi doesn’t have friends and he’s a loner, he hangs out with hisoka for business purposes. And gon came to killua and brought him freedom, the only thing that killua and illumi don’t have in common in this situation is that. . . Illumi was never brought freedom
I think Hisoka was never meant to be taken seriously as a representation though. Togashi is very open about homosexuality ( he said he wanted to make a story where everyone is gay lol). Hisoka was just meant to be a fun character, I don't think he was made with any homophobic intention.
that's part of a long-standing problem actually: having silly villainous characters be q-coded as a mockery of lgbt people. it's just unfortunate that togashi decided his q-coded villain should also be attracted to children, as this is a prevalent homophobic idea (see some of the justification for current anti-trans legislature). i do agree though that it was a thoughtless decision rather than something done with malicious intent
@@SashMash Don’t know man. I don’t think he is sexually interested in children, but rather it’s the potential of children that he is interested in. The more talented, the stronger, the more strong willed they are at a young age, the more interest he takes in killing them once they have fully matured and reached their potential. He even said that Chrollo turns him on, that was also because of his strong desire to fight and kill him.
@@SashMash I don't think he's meant to be a representation at ALL. Hisoka is a villain written to be a creepy villain and not just so hxh has a gay clown in it. If Togashi did this creepy villain trope to multiple q-coded characters in the show, then that's homophobic. But it's just for Hisoka.
Yea, mine too I refuse to acknowledge it happened and I think now that they are toghter, just having fun as friends and as the kids they are becs they deserve it
I'm so glad that Togashi is probably gonna continue HxH because he said he felt bad for ending Yu Yu Hakusho all those years ago and doesn't wanna repeat the same mistake again.
"I'll repeat myself as many times as I need to" is something he says to Palm in his last moments alive as well when begging her to let him have Komugi back.
Maybe it is relatable in real life that's why? And also he is so simple head, culture and true friend guy but his backstory really is dark because it's show how money matters for him so much in the perspective of kurapika.
Meruem and Kumogi just really made me sad, I really bawled out my eyes watching their scene. I do rarely like antagonists or be a big fan to them yet Meruem is one of the antagonists that really placed something special in my heart
I remember crying so hard during their death scene, like a death scene has never hit me like that! I had to wait a few minutes in absolute silence before I could go on to the next episode
I have tried so hard to forget that when Kurapika uses EmperorTime he loses his life span but when you said when he passed out that ment he lost 9 years just made it even sadder. My Heart is broken I’m crying hard all these facts 😭😭😭
Kurapika thinks he dosen't have anywhere or anything to return to after he's done with collecting the Scarlet Eyes Kurapika has to constantly see the remains of his dead family and friends get sold and collected like treasure after they were brutally murdered and tortured for those remains, and yet he still has to face the guilt after using violence to rightfully get them back from the monsters who own them Chrollo dosen't understand himself despite constantly trying to figure it out, and he has no fear but instead full acceptance of death The Kurta clan members were tortured in front of other members to make their eyes more scarlet, so children had to see their parents tortured and killed in front of them and the other way around Shalnark wasn't able to focus on fighting Hisoka due to seeing Kortopi's severed head in his own arms Machi is deep down a softie and has some kindness inside of her, but when she was trying to show a bit of that kindness and stich up Hisoka's body as a thank you, she was attacked by him and had to watch as he departed to kill Kortopi and Shalnark Illumi got tortured so much that pain dosen't faze him at all, even in the slightest. He describes the process of changing his appearance with needles as incredibly painful, and yet he reguralry does it without even the slightest change of facial expression. Meanwhile the Hunter Exam bodyguard was in so much pain from just his face changing shape that he couldn't move and instantly revealed Gon's location Netero's hard work and gratitude led to him obtaining the ultimate combat power, but instead of bringing him hapiness and fulfillment, it only brought him over 60 years of boredom and emptiness due to not being able to find any strong opponents Pouf died a painful death from poisoning that destroyed his body from the inside while also feeling extreme mental pain due to the King remembering Komugi, despite all of Pouf's hard work to prevent that Pitou genuinely thought that she can heal this "Kite" person that Gon was talking about, because she didn't remember who he was and didn't know that he wants her to heal an already dead person. Because of that she was actually sorry that she couldn't help someone who listened to such an important request of hers, and instead had to even kill him. Then she got brutally murdered by the same person while trying to protect the King Battera spend most of his fortune on Greed Island copies in order to one day obtain the Breath of Angel card and heal his comatosed wife, but after a decade of trying his wife died right before someone actually finished the game and obtained the card Neon died sometime after the Yorknew City arc, so she was either killed by her angry father for not being useful to him anymore or by her father's enemies due to their jealousy of his success Zepile got in debt with some shady people in order to give Gon and Killua the money for their entrance fee to the underground auction, and if he didn't pay the money back they would take his organs, so he decided to take the Hunter Exam to sell his license and pay them back, but Killua prevented him from passing which means that Zepile possibly lost his organs and even died if he didn't find another way to pay off his debt Pitou was the only Royal Guard to accept Meruem's human side and his love for Komugi instead of trying to forcefully change him, and yet she was the only one who never got to learn his name Komugi grew up in poverty and her value as a human was only based on how well she performed at Gungi tournaments, she was treated so badly that Meruem saying she's not bothering anyone and is and important guest were the kindest words she ever heard The Phantom Troupe founding members grew up in a literal dumpster after being thrown away like trash. Some don't even know their date of birth The victims of the Chimera Ants were caputred into a kingdom of monster insects, kept in a storage like food for a dew days and then had their skin and all their meat ripped off from their bodies while they were still alive Palm had to have sex with Bizeff for her mission Bizeff regularly trafficked young women and used them as sex slaves Gyro suffered so much at the hand of his father, that he started feeling like he isn''t even human and the entire world despises him, like he's not supossed to be on this planet, and as a result his hatred for the world was so great that even getting eaten by the Chimera Ant queen didn't stop him from spreading evil, but he was instead revived with the same form that he had as a human
For the Phantom Troup, it never was said that those who didn't get their fortune (which necessite their date of birth) don't know their date of birth, actually, I've read in some facts about Feitan that he probably just didn't want to share it, so the others probably didn't want to either, I mean it's kinda convenient for them since no one except themselves know a thing about them, keeping things secret is more enjoyable for them since that way they can be "surprise" opponents due to the fact that nobody can actually have any info on them unless they've met them, I mean, they're criminals who don't have any mercy on their victims, so the lack of infos about them may not be a probleme for any of the troup member, only for their poor victims who don't even know who is killing them
I don't think Togashi wanted to make a relation between homosexuality and child abuser. And he's not hated by other hunters because of his demeanour, he's hated because he's a murderer (and a child abuser). But what upsets me a lot is the people (especially girls) that defend Hisoka and his disgusting behaviour. He may be "cool" to some extent, and maybe he has a painful past that made him that way, but that's not an excuse to defend him. Sad fact about Pakunoda: In her last moments, some of her best friends threatened to attack her because she didn't bring back Chrollo. Yet she entrusted them with her last thoughts and gave up her life for them. Sad fact about Uvogin: Even though he died smiling because he wouldn't betray his friends, he died not knowing how much they loved him and respected him even though he was harsh with them sometimes. Sad fact about Neferpitou: Pitou seemed to have developed feelings of compassion and pity, being sincerely sorry about Kite. She died at the hands of Gon and took all his rage for the safety of Meruem.
Some characters that should be added: -Nobunaga lost his childhood friend and combat partner Uvogin.Theyve known each other the longest of the troupe. -Uvo died because he wouldn’t betray his comrades -Pakunoda does for her boss while in a fair exchange she would’ve exchanged him for Killua and Gon. Machi lost a dear friend(Paku) The rest of the troupe also lost four of their comarades. -Feitan doesn’t know what family is.Also look at his power. -Shizuku doesn’t mind dying for the troupe -Bonelenovs clan is extinct similar to kurapika tho we don’t know much. -The troupe members could loose the one thing they care about:the troupe. -Chrollo grew up surrounded by trash piles -Pitou was the first royal guard to acknowledge Meruem human side and his love for Komugi, and saw him as a person rather than the king, yet never got to learn his name.
Chrollo dosen't understand himself despite constantly trying to do so Machi is deep down a softie and has some kindness inside of her, but when she was trying to show a bit of that kindness and stich up Hisoka's body as a thank you, she was attacked by him and had to watch as he departed to kill Kortopi and Shalnark Shalnark wasn't able to focus on fighting Hisoka due to seeing Kortopi's severed head in his own arms
@@SashMash yeah like now that I think about it, thriving on hatred + can't help destroying the things he loves... Pariston's life sounds awful. Hisoka *might* qualify for "evil without reason" considering Togashi said he didn't have any planned backstory, though the semi-canon Ishida oneshot kinda implied he had a shitty childhood

I definitely saw Hisoka as creepy and predatory, but I didn't necessarily see it as homophobic (I am bi and transfem) I feel as though it's okay to make LGBTQ+ characters evil in stories just so long as you make being LGBTQ+ a common thing in the cast and don't BLATANTLY stereotype (lookin' at you Q-Force) Hisoka's one of my favorites, I had no idea he was seen as a stereotype cause me nor anyone around me, LGBTQ+ or not. No judgement, and I'm not saying you're wrong, I just think it's kind of interesting. I learned something new today.
yeah, togashi unintentionally played into the "lgbt people are basically child predators" idea by combining hisoka's q-coding with his attraction to children. you can even see this idea being spread about now with how usa gvts are trying to take away trans peoples' rights, claiming trans people are intent on (sexually) abusing children. you are more than welcome to continue enjoying hisoka though- he is a really fun character beyond this!
In the manga, chapter 124. Zepile put up his organs as collateral for a 5 million Jenny loan. Killua knocked everyone out including him which means that his organs was probably harvested not long after he failed the exam.
In one of the movies, killua felt like he betrayed gon and thus attempted to end it. His bond with gon is higher than his own life which was shown again when the rabbit ant (sorry I'm not that great with names) was tryong to target gon (or almost to gon) and killua was literally beaten into a pulp until he removed Illumi's needle. If he didn't remove the needle, it would've had him killed
I have a good one, Pitou was loyal to the king until she ultimately died, she thought she had to die to save the king, though the king would have died anyway. She also died for "killing kite" she didn't actually end kite's life, that was something he did on his own, to reincarnate as the young female kite. She was even shocked to find kite dead after beating him in battle.
I have a sad fact that I haven’t seen anyone talk about yet! Sad fact: Killua CANONICALLY (in one of the movies I think) attempted to kill himself. He felt like he had betrayed Gon in some way and stood on some train tracks. It was quite sad.
@@caliqm2199 According to my deduction, the original commenter stated that the event is canon in the movie, but not actually canon in the main storyline. However, the way they use to present the idea is nebulous and can create unwanted controversy.
Imo Komugi is the saddest. Her entire life was deemed worthless unless she was using her ONE talent to support people who would never do the same for her.
going through this 14 min long video was nostalgia for me, since this was one of my first animes and i could never forget some of those details abt specific characters but the fact that Leorio is so relatable because i,too feel hopelessness to give help to someone/a friend who experienced such a traumatizing life and i could only be there for them.
Another sad fact about illumi: People say he faced child neglect Due to How little his emotions are. Because this is a side effect of child neglect. Which shows that His parents have been telling him that his emotions don't matter his whole life. Because that's the reason why Most victims of child neglect have little to no emotion in the future of there lives.
Technically when Killuas using electricity/godspeed he can feel the pain from his own electricity, he just bear it that's all and nobody even noticed :')
8:12 another sad thing about Neon: tw//manga spoilers I'm pretty sure Chrollo mentions that her ability disappeared from his book, which means she's dead.
The statement for Biscuit Krueger is not accurate. In the dark continent expedition arc, she stated that her ability to transform was a subconscious ability developed from deep emotion and need.
Something sad is the fact that kite literally spent like years upon years searching for Going and literally finds him within the first few years of becoming a Hunter/trying to become a Hunter.
Alluka was dehumanized and was locked up in 1 room. The only person out of everyone who really cared for Alluka was Killua The fact that Kurapika's whole 127 people in his clan died, sad enough and Kurapika riskes his whole life for revenge just because of that Gon, as a protagonist looked very evil an cruel & antagonistic after seeing Pitou for the second time. He let his emotion get the best of him and seeked vengence on Kite. ALMOST dying in the process & caused Killua to risk being sent home OR his life to save Gon. Gon probably cant even use his nen anymore. Hes really a daredevil im telling you. Meurem finally deciding to be a kind and humanistic (bc of Komugi ofc) ant but then dying as soon as he changes, thanks to Netero Killua basically living with assassins, said to be the best even tho he does not want to, Had a million years of torture. Leorio really needs to be featured more in this series. The fact that out of nowhere Leorio is being elected for chairman, not even wanting to be there. The fact is, he is working towards being a hunter AND a doctor. Kalluto joining the Phantom Troupe just to try to find his older brother, (Killua?) and the way she calls himself weak hurts me. Killua probably does not even recognize Kalluto as a sibling. Neon loses her nen ability due to Chrollo. Kurapika having to witness Neon play with Scarlet eyes and the daunting look on his depressed face. Kurapika at the end of the series with the scarlet eyes in front of him, not responding to Leorio's calls when his phone is literally in his hand. Seems like losing the Kurta Clan had a big affect on him. All the sad facts I can think. (for now)
the saddest part of the HxH series for me is when killua attempts to commit suicide in the HxH movie because he feels like he failed as a friend to gon, only to be saved by him
@@Big_show_guy its made by an official studio, who have rights to the characters, an official (but non-canon) movie is a lot different than a fan piece lmao
Something about Nicholas there’s a chance you might know: He lost in the exam because he had his hopes up and when he found out he was wrong which was unexpected it made his brain so inclosed but at the same time open to the chance there was no end for days it “scared” him into giving up when he actually could’ve gotten through if he didn’t expect himself to be right.
So, out of curiosity. What do you guys think of Hisoka? To me he appears as less of an accidental homophobic stereotype and more as a commentary on the types of antagonists you see in a lot of shonen (some which definitely were homophobic stereotypes). It seems easy to forget that a lot of the bad guys in what was meant to primarily be anime for kids were cartoonishly dressed adults obsessed with fighting children. Hisoka always seemed like a deconstruction of the tropes.
i agree he is an interesting and subversive antagonist. but, him being sexually attracted to gon and killua together with his flamboyant nature (old school q-coded villain) makes for a thoughtless combination because of how lgbt people have been viewed historically. that's the only point we were trying to make.
Well thats what I'm saying. I dont believe it was thoughtless. I think this character was intentional as a mirror of the tropes. Togashi has made a lot of queer characters. Not all of them have been great but they've always been explorations of lgbt+ concepts way before it was cool or common. Heck he married the lady who made sailor moon and we know very well that she had a lot of interest in exploring those topics too.
While the Kurapika-Facts are all true, it should not be ignored that the Ship he's currently on has ALL Safety-Net-Humans he ever had on Board. Oito, Wobble and arguably-most-importantly: Leoreo. Leoreo is on the Ship, let's not forget that.

To be fair to the Morel section, Leol's ability explanation confirms at the very least that the guy Morel knew was still alive, since Leol's ability requiring to have the person owe him something, so it's likely he spared him and got his power that way. Plus, Leol's powers are lost if the person who owes him dies
unfortunately, morel doesn't know exactly how the ability works, and we don't know what leol did to make the friend owe leol a favour. during their fight this lack of information (and all the horrible possibilities) rightfully angered morel. only we beyond the 4th wall can have our minds at relative ease

@@deanjean Exactly, plus the fact that Hisoka litterally gave informations about eight of the troup members to Kurapika, who is LITTERALLY their enemy, and after that, he still questions how tf Kurapika managed to kill Uvo when he KNOWS that Hisoka gave him infos, since Hisoka himself told Chrollo that he gave Kurapika infos about the members (even if he didn't gave infos about all the members, since he didn't know about Korutopi's ability at the time, I assume it's the same for the other five since he only gave infos about eight members and not the thirteen of 'em, besides, he said he gave infos about himself to Kurapika, but why tho ? I mean... Kurapika already knows him, doesn't he ? Or maybe Hisoka said that he gave infos about him BECAUSE Kurapika and him know each other so obviously Kurapika knows infos about him, but Hisoka didn't want Chrollo to know that (like he didn't want the other troup members that he knew Gon and Killua the first time they were taken to the hideout)) but still, why blame Hisoka when he himself let him in the troup AND he knows how Hisoka is (I mean, come on, you can't tell me he didn't think about the fact that Hisoka would say that he cheated by using Shal' et Korutopi's abilitys when he knows Hisoka wants a ONE ON ONE fight, that's totally dumb)

On Kurapikas chase for his clan mates eyes he looses his own in the process. So all the killing would have been for nothing The phantom troupe all has a big bond with one another because it was hinted that most of them were friends when they were children and growing up alone. Gon is a psychopath-
5:03 Sis, Alluka is female but not trans. Those who refer to her as HE do it coz of Nanika, who is a very powerful genderless entity from the Dark Continent. Togashi assistant made a one shot sketch about hisoka, too. He was a teenager who start to work in circus, got targeted by co-workers because of his prodigy
@Jae ... Makes sense cuz Nen is determined by what object we're close to....like in case of Kurapika ... He practiced with chains until he could use chain as his nen power
the younger the zoldyck siblings, the brighter their eyes. the younger they are, the less torture they suffered.
Alluka is older than Kalluto, though. She got special treatment because she's dangerous, so I guess that's why she has the brightest eyes.
In a way it could also be "The longer they lived for, the more time they've got to be tortured."
Neferpitou is the only guardian that actually cares about Meruem feelings and supported his idea of getting name. However they are also the only guardian that didn't found out about Meruem's name
Yeah the red guard prolly didn’t care other than fulfilling his duties, the butterfly guard cared-ish about Meruem but he only cared about *The King* not Meruem himself as a “person” whereas Pitou cared about Meruem as Meruem as a person about his feelings, Poitou cared about his everything-now that’s the kind of guard I would want
she was also the only one who didn’t die to the rose bomb’s poison
Why do I feel like this video could be just as long if it was only about killua
oh definitely, we had a hard time choosing what aspect of killua to include in here 💔
Alright so Killua :
-has been tortured for most of his childhood BY HIS FAMILY
- was refused to be friends with other people his age ( kanari )
-was forced to kill people and put his life in danger
- was manipulated by needles in his brain
-has unreciprocated feelings for Gon
-feels unworthy of Gon’s friendship
-was emotionally manipulated by the threat of alluka being killed by other zoldyck
And many more !!!

I have a sad fact about a few ig
Gon: gon was left by his dad and raised by his aunt mito.
That’s really sad 🙁

😭😭😭😭
The first RUclips comment that ever brought tears to my eyes
I thought it was to protect Gon's ass from Hisoka :)
Kurapika thinks he dosen't have anywhere or anything to return to after he's done with collecting the Scarlet Eyes
Kurapika has to constantly see the remains of his dead family and friends get sold and collected like treasure after they were brutally murdered and tortured for those remains, and yet he still has to face the guilt after using violence to rightfully get them back from the monsters who own them
Chrollo dosen't understand himself despite constantly trying to figure it out, and he has no fear but instead full acceptance of death
The Kurta clan members were tortured in front of other members to make their eyes more scarlet, so children had to see their parents tortured and killed in front of them and the other way around
Shalnark wasn't able to focus on fighting Hisoka due to seeing Kortopi's severed head in his own arms
Machi is deep down a softie and has some kindness inside of her, but when she was trying to show a bit of that kindness and stich up Hisoka's body as a thank you, she was attacked by him and had to watch as he departed to kill Kortopi and Shalnark
Illumi got tortured so much that pain dosen't faze him at all, even in the slightest. He describes the process of changing his appearance with needles as incredibly painful, and yet he reguralry does it without even the slightest change of facial expression. Meanwhile the Hunter Exam bodyguard was in so much pain from just his face changing shape that he couldn't move and instantly revealed Gon's location
Netero's hard work and gratitude led to him obtaining the ultimate combat power, but instead of bringing him hapiness and fulfillment, it only brought him over 60 years of boredom and emptiness due to not being able to find any strong opponents
Pouf died a painful death from poisoning that destroyed his body from the inside while also feeling extreme mental pain due to the King remembering Komugi, despite all of Pouf's hard work to prevent that
Pitou genuinely thought that she can heal this "Kite" person that Gon was talking about, because she didn't remember who he was and didn't know that he wants her to heal an already dead person. Because of that she was actually sorry that she couldn't help someone who listened to such an important request of hers, and instead had to even kill him. Then she got brutally murdered by the same person while trying to protect the King
Battera spend most of his fortune on Greed Island copies in order to one day obtain the Breath of Angel card and heal his comatosed wife, but after a decade of trying his wife died right before someone actually finished the game and obtained the card
Neon died sometime after the Yorknew City arc, so she was either killed by her angry father for not being useful to him anymore or by her father's enemies due to their jealousy of his success
Zepile got in debt with some shady people in order to give Gon and Killua the money for their entrance fee to the underground auction, and if he didn't pay the money back they would take his organs, so he decided to take the Hunter Exam to sell his license and pay them back, but Killua prevented him from passing which means that Zepile possibly lost his organs and even died if he didn't find another way to pay off his debt
Pitou was the only Royal Guard to accept Meruem's human side and his love for Komugi instead of trying to forcefully change him, and yet she was the only one who never got to learn his name
Komugi grew up in poverty and her value as a human was only based on how well she performed at Gungi tournaments, she was treated so badly that Meruem saying she's not bothering anyone and is and important guest were the kindest words she ever heard
The Phantom Troupe founding members grew up in a literal dumpster after being thrown away like trash. Some don't even know their date of birth
The victims of the Chimera Ants were caputred into a kingdom of monster insects, kept in a storage like food for a dew days and then had their skin and all their meat ripped off from their bodies while they were still alive
Palm had to have sex with Bizeff for her mission
Bizeff regularly trafficked young women and used them as sex slaves
Gyro suffered so much at the hand of his father, that he started feeling like he isn''t even human and the entire world despises him, like he's not supossed to be on this planet, and as a result his hatred for the world was so great that even getting eaten by the Chimera Ant queen didn't stop him from spreading evil, but he was instead revived with the same form that he had as a human
I love your extremely disturbing/sad facts 👍
Sad fact about Pakunoda:
In her last moments, some of her best friends threatened to attack her because she didn't bring back Chrollo. Yet she entrusted them with her last thoughts and gave up her life for them.
Sad fact about Uvogin:
Even though he died smiling because he wouldn't betray his friends, he died not knowing how much they loved him and respected him even though he was harsh with them sometimes.
Sad fact about Neferpitou:
Pitou seemed to have developed feelings of compassion and pity, being sincerely sorry about Kite. She died at the hands of Gon and took all his rage for the safety of Meruem.
I honestly didn’t realize how sad pitou’s death was when I first saw it happen
I do agree with the Hisoka thing. I don’t get how people can defend his character
Some characters that should be added:
-Nobunaga lost his childhood friend and combat partner Uvogin.Theyve known each other the longest of the troupe.
-Uvo died because he wouldn’t betray his comrades
-Pakunoda does for her boss while in a fair exchange she would’ve exchanged him for Killua and Gon.
Machi lost a dear friend(Paku)
The rest of the troupe also lost four of their comarades.
-Feitan doesn’t know what family is.Also look at his power.
-Shizuku doesn’t mind dying for the troupe
-Bonelenovs clan is extinct similar to kurapika tho we don’t know much.
-The troupe members could loose the one thing they care about:the troupe.
-Chrollo grew up surrounded by trash piles
-Pitou was the first royal guard to acknowledge Meruem human side and his love for Komugi, and saw him as a person rather than the king, yet never got to learn his name.
Chrollo dosen't understand himself despite constantly trying to do so
Machi is deep down a softie and has some kindness inside of her, but when she was trying to show a bit of that kindness and stich up Hisoka's body as a thank you, she was attacked by him and had to watch as he departed to kill Kortopi and Shalnark

@@SashMash ah I see! Thank you for telling me

@@princeteall2833 That’s why I specifically said that it was in one of the movies lol

going through this 14 min long video was nostalgia for me, since this was one of my first animes and i could never forget some of those details abt specific characters but the fact that Leorio is so relatable because i,too feel hopelessness to give help to someone/a friend who experienced such a traumatizing life and i could only be there for them.

Which shows that His parents have been telling him that his emotions don't matter his whole life. Because that's the reason why Most victims of child neglect have little to no emotion in the future of there lives.

i love komugi with all my heart, she's an absolute queen
The one that made me the saddest was kite. because he is so cool and powerful and smart and was gons only hope at finding is dad .
It s more a probability, but it was highly implied Gon was sexual harrassed, worse case scenario (sexually) assaulted
Sad Fact with Gon : His dad never came back with the milk
Something sad is the fact that kite literally spent like years upon years searching for Going and literally finds him within the first few years of becoming a Hunter/trying to become a Hunter.
Alluka was dehumanized and was locked up in 1 room. The only person out of everyone who really cared for Alluka was Killua
The fact that Kurapika's whole 127 people in his clan died, sad enough and Kurapika riskes his whole life for revenge just because of that
Gon, as a protagonist looked very evil an cruel & antagonistic after seeing Pitou for the second time. He let his emotion get the best of him and seeked vengence on Kite. ALMOST dying in the process & caused Killua to risk being sent home OR his life to save Gon. Gon probably cant even use his nen anymore. Hes really a daredevil im telling you.
Meurem finally deciding to be a kind and humanistic (bc of Komugi ofc) ant but then dying as soon as he changes, thanks to Netero
Killua basically living with assassins, said to be the best even tho he does not want to, Had a million years of torture.
(for now)

@@ItzYuki1i so than any fan can make a random piece of work of a character and you would count it
@@Big_show_guy its made by an official studio, who have rights to the characters, an official (but non-canon) movie is a lot different than a fan piece lmao
@@ItzYuki1iit basically is a fan piece it doesn’t count towards anything
The only sad thing i know in hxh is the excluded leorio to travel with kurapika in dark continent.
I’m not one to cry/get sad over shows and anime but this was pretty sad
Gon is one of Finn the Human's past lives and was always destined to lose his arm in one way or another.
Wings shirts always untucked because nobody probably thought Him how to fasten his belt properly
Something about Nicholas there’s a chance you might know:
He lost in the exam because he had his hopes up and when he found out he was wrong which was unexpected it made his brain so inclosed but at the same time open to the chance there was no end for days it “scared” him into giving up when he actually could’ve gotten through if he didn’t expect himself to be right.
Idk why but I feel Kurapika and Killua went though the most emotional back stories. (Ik so did many others but I feel theirs' to be the best)
Same and also Illumi
I’m here and I’m ready to cry, or just send my friend this
cry together with your friends 🤧
@@SashMash i will🤧
Well I don't have weeb friends but imma cry by My self now 😭😭😭
Hisoka has the saddest back story I'm sure 😢
Kurapika made me cry- I love him so much 😭😭
Same
ging seemed to want to take gon back but mito stoped him leaving gon without a dad :)
I feel like I know more about the series now, thanks!!! :D
you're welcome!
The real sad fact about hanzo is that he has eyelashes on his eyebrows
While the Kurapika-Facts are all true,
it should not be ignored that the Ship he's currently on has ALL Safety-Net-Humans he ever had
on Board.
Oito, Wobble and arguably-most-importantly: Leoreo.
Leoreo is on the Ship, let's not forget that.
I mis-gendered Alluka, AND FEEL TERRIBLE!!! I GOT CONFUSED- I THOUGH NANIKA WAS A GIRL AND ALLUKA WAS A BOY- I FEEL SO AWFUL NOW, I'M SORRY ALLUKA YOUR A BEAUTIFUL YOUNG LADY!!!! 😭😭🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼💐💐💗💗💗
No I can't leave the house I have to have a mental breakdown over fictional characters
🤧🤧🤧
I did not cry... *DO I SIMPLY JUST NOT FEEL EMOTIONS?!*
Watching this while having palm and komugi as my favorite characters…probably not a good sign
yo i actually like hisoka as a character
nothing wrong with that, he is a good character beyond what we described!
How 💀 you prolly just weird irl like him
1:07 THIS IS ONE OF THE ONLY TIMES I HAVE SEEN SOMEONE MENTION WHAT A FOOLISH STEP Chrollo took letting Hisoka in the gang....honestly it makes no sense how anyone would let a stranger with a background unbeknownst to him on his group specially when it's infamous
Yeah, plus Hisoka said he only entered the troup just so he could fight him, and even the other members question this choice, like, why would you let someone in your group knowing that ?
@@MorganetheEliatrope And then Chrollo is like 'OH NO this bastard killed the members of my group as if I don't have ANY blame to take for this, it's all Hisoka's fault that I trusted that buffoon trash clown with the troupe information'
You should've included hisoka's past
unfortunately, there is no canon backstory for him
It isn’t sad
@@remigal899 it might be, we don’t know
@@凛鐘富宇 no I’m saying regardless of what it is, it won’t be sad.
@@凛鐘富宇 I remember a comic about his childhood? Not sure, but I once read how he was part of the circus and got trained or something. Dunno if it was canon but it seemed like it.

Hisoka probably didn't realize that he was crazy and others hated him
You should do a vid about aluka’s abilities cus her’s is the most interesting in the show

Idk if this is actually canon, but i hear that gons mother died while exploring the dark continent
that's a popular theory but it's not confirmed
On Kurapikas chase for his clan mates eyes he looses his own in the process. So all the killing would have been for nothing
The phantom troupe all has a big bond with one another because it was hinted that most of them were friends when they were children and growing up alone.
Gon is a psychopath-
No Gon is just a kid who has abandonment issues and trauma
5:03 Sis, Alluka is female but not trans. Those who refer to her as HE do it coz of Nanika, who is a very powerful genderless entity from the Dark Continent. It's very common to address powerful beings as a he even tho they don't have a gender. But they hardly ever address Alluka herself, which is another form of abuse the Zoldyk's perpetuate against their own. This isn't some trans issue yall make make it out to be with everything out there nowadays.
omg stop I told ppl that once and got totally attacked I’m so glad someone finally agrees
I feel so sad for ging 🥲
so many people don't realise he was forced to give up gon 🤧
