Generator Rex gets a lot of love on the Ben 10 fandom. There was even a debate on whether or not Rex is a variant of Ben 10 which I personally don't agree with but some people do.
The fact that this crossover isn’t mentioned alongside the jimmy timmy power hour crossover as some of the best crossovers in cartoon history is wild to me.
Now that I think of it was that also a multiversal event or do they canonically exist in the same universe but for some reason Dimmsdale and Retroville are locked in their respective art styles meaning you can’t enter Dimmsdale without becoming 2D animated or Retroville without becoming 3D animated?
I wouldn’t say that. Fans at the time this came out anyway hated Heroes United. Ben 10 fans hated how much they nerfed Ben and butchered his aliens and Generator Rex fans saw this crossover as a Kraven ploy to try to boost ratings. Generator Rex was always overlooked anyway, so again not a surprise. But I’m glad to see this crossover get more love in the modern day. I thought it was good and just “cute” for what it was.

Bro I remember Generator Rex, I actually checked it out when it was airing and I could not get into it at the time, I saw that it was created by Man of Action the Ben 10 guys so I had to check it out, I loved Ben 10 so I would watch anything those guys made, it's just a shame that Rex never captured my attention but just a dumb child at the time so my opinions likely have changed. I remember the ads for this crossover, I desperately wanted to watch it because I'm obsessed with crossovers even if it features a series I'm not familiar with, I'd still watch it, but for this crossover it felt like God wanted me to watch it. The very day it aired my family decided to visit my other family members, luckily those family members had a TV with Cartoon Network but unluckily, my family decided to leave right when the episode started airing and we lived like 2 hours away, so needless to say I missed the first airing. I think it aired again like a week later and I missed that too and from then on it felt like CN stopped airing it, I waiting over a year to have a chance to see it again but it never came so I finally went online to watch it on one of those pirate websites. I loved the episode so much that it made it made me think twice about giving Generator Rex another chance, I never did but I considered it. As an adult now, I'll definitely give it another chance......when I have the time.
It’s crazy how a crossover can you make that hyped lol I hope you end up watching Gen Rex like I said the crossover doesn’t even begin to show you how dope the show actually is
Remember when the reboot's version of a Gen Rex crossover was around, and suddenly, hundreds of Generator Rex fans spawned out of nowhere to claim the crossover ruined their childhood then despawn? Those are the people who've only seen this crossover, and it's kind of annoying. They couldn't name a single chatacter from the show at gunpoint.

I remember watching some of Generator Rex when it first aired but I didn't remember much of what actually happened in the show. Some time ago I rewatched the entire Ben 10 franchise with my friends Mike and Tyler, and at a certain point in UA, Tyler suggested we watched the Gen Rex crossover. Given how it was at the start of season 3 we had basically no context of what was happening in Rex's world, but seeing him interact with Ben was really cool. And the show itself looked really cool too so we've been watching Gen Rex after we finished all the Ben 10 shows. I know I liked it back then but I like it even more now, we're currently in the middle of season 2. I think it's fantastic and I definitely recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it
I think the thing that did for me was like Generator Rex had that ominous kinda creepy vibe I got from some of Classic Ben 10's transformations but on a whole new level. Generator Rex was the great stuff. The crossover was perfect for fans of both and hoped more of Ben and Rex team up more and have more fun action episode but we cannot have that

Y'know, I didn't really think that much about it up till now but Gen Rex is legitimately one of the best action cartoons I've ever seen from basically every angle. Like, it's genuinely a 9.8/10. It barely has any flaws to speak of. The main thing that comes to mind though is the rushed ending but it still great and wrapped up the main conflict of the show and the show most likely got hoed with an early cancelation (like many other action cartoons😔) so I can barely hold that against it. I'd say that the very few filler episodes are the only weak point. I feel like I remember thinking that the humour wasn't at good in them but most of them are still fun anyways, like the one with Rex and Noah going to prom or the one with Rex going to high school.
I love the crossover so much the character moments are so much fun we get tons of cool action and Upgraded Rex is so iconic I wish we got another animated sequel of something. Rex is also a great show in its self Van Kleiss is a slept on villan with a dope design and abilities it definitely deserves more love

I loved Generator Rex. Cartoon Network did that show dirty, the last few episodes they put online first (and didn't let air on tv til months later). I actually thought season 2 was the weakest Generator Rex season, since it lacked a strong central storyline. Though some of the individual episodes in Season 3 were definitely the weakest of the show's run. But I loved Black Knight and Jon Scarecrow, great additions. Season 1, though, is probably the best season. The Breach episode, anything to do with Breach, was fantastic and creepy. The flashback episode where Six meets Rex is so good too. I was pissed that the show didn't get a proper DVD release.

@DanBoyWonder 14:06 - 14:14 Say what you will about Generator Rex's quality as a show, say what you will about Rex being a better character than Ben. Heck, you can even say what you will about Generator Rex being a better show. What you can't say for certain, however, is that they have truly capitalized on the show and it's premise and moved beyond its premise. From the looks of things, one can argue that they never truly outgrew the show's initial premise, which would be where they have a bit of everything. For example, just like how Marvel, DC, and even Ben 10 have a vast array of components and components of other genres, like Sci-fi, Fantasy, Superheroes, and so on and so forth. That's why I'm all for a continuation of Generator Rex in our modern day and age where they actually let Rex mutate fully and where he has a vast array of different mutations. You could even have an Omnitrix-style device which helps him control his mutations and forms and can even then go on to upgrade these forms of his. You should also have the show have even more variety with it's characters and world-building, where you can even have aliens, knights, mages, mutants, time travelers, dimension travelers, and so much more, but have them be together and make sense. Kuro the artist in his 2017 video, "What RUINED Ben 10?", said it best: "In the early 2000s, Man of Action was brought down to Cartoon Network to pitch 20 ideas in 20 minutes, the idea that got picked up went into development and shaped itself into what we know today as Ben 10 Classic. The show lined up nicely with the new rise of action cartoons, but stood out being the one with the most world-building and story development. If you ask any Ben 10 fan, you'd come to find that what draws people to the show more often than not, is the universe it has created. Every Alien that Ben turns into has a species, homeworld, and something to learn about it. It was always special whenever Ben met another one of his aliens he could turn into and, in the beginning of Ben 10's reign, despite it being a cartoon after all, it had a sense of reality tied to it. The adventures felt grounded, there were themes of exploration and mystery, with all different elements of Sci-fi and fiction the trio would encounter. There were mutants, mages, knights, alternate dimensions, time travel, but it was all tied together and made sense. Nothing it did ever felt like a legitimate stretch and the art style, of course, was far better than it needed to be. The classic series really built the foundation of what could've been one of the most successful animated franchises of all time." Generator Rex lacks this world building and variety, but with this continuation, it can truly capitalize on its core concepts/elements/components and move beyond its foundation, world building, and more in order to garner the attention that you and many others like you feel it deserves.
As a fan of both Ben 10 and Generator Rex, I have to admit. While Ben 10 will always be near and dear to my heart, Generator Rex is actually better in a few ways. For one, his character writing stayed consistent. It still burns me up that the corporate meddling from CN made Ben an arrogant glory hog and sometimes a jerk from AF to OV. It resulted in many elements that pushed me away from Alien Force season 3 and early Ultimate Alien. Granted, they did tone it down a bit by Omniverse, but the ripple effects are still there. But Rex and every other character stayed consistent through the whole series. Second, Generator Rex is one of only two shows that I’ve ever watched that I DON’T skip episodes when binge watching. The other being Young Justice. (At least prior to YJ season 4. There’s one mini arc that is kinda boring on rewatch.) Even shows that I love like Teen Titans and Ben 10 have flop episodes that I skip on rewatch. There are other reasons, but I’ll leave it there. While Ben 10 certainly has a spot in my heart, Generator Rex definitely deserves to be remembered.
But most people didn’t even know it was a crossover as most people who watched the episode didn’t watch Secret Saturdays and didn’t know they had their own show
I just finished watching Generator Rex and I wasn't expecting him to become God He literally did more in a few minutes than Alien X did in the entirety of UAF plus I like Generator Rex more than UAF mainly because I feel like Rex has a more consistent personality Hot take: I didn't really like the crossover that much. It didn't really feel like Ben did much in the final fight
i have to admit, on the topic of Generator Rex being better than Ben 10, that it's more CONSISTENTLY good than Ben 10. Ben 10 has had a much longer life cycle, and with that came some high highs and some LOW lows. Generator Rex didn't have lows, and I think comparing it to ALL of Ben 10 as a franchise is unfair because, yeah, of course the show with like 90 episodes is going to feel more complete and well-polished than the FRANCHISE with hundreds of episodes. Rex with, say, Ben 10 Classic in a vacuum? I can't say it's BETTER but Rex does deserve his credit. like you said, it's a valid argument, but there are some flaws in it imo.
Man I loved the crossover but to save a whoooole lot of time I'm just gonna say Ben 10 is a show that still in a way underestimated for its potential but is still a grand show all of them but GENERATOR REX was and still is way more underrated than BEN 1O, they were both ultra culture phenomenon that deserve better especially REX I grew up loving them both and hate how they aren't treated better by their creators And yes this is the short version Of the short version
i remember it i didnt even get to watch it but i know at the time this crossover was fire, prolly coulda started a hole nother universe. it didnt come on tv like dat in my case sucked
The crossover was only good because of Ben 10 and from what I’ve heard the crossover was actually an attempt to save the Generator Rex show. I love Ben 10 and I’m a huge fan of Ben 10. I do not like Generator Rex and I hate Rex Salazar. There was nothing special about the Ben and his aliens in the HU art style it was just set in Rex’s show and art style. Ben 10 and his aliens look way a lot better in his own animation and art style in the classic original series UAF and even Omniverse and even the reboot. Ben 10 is way a lot better than Rex. Ben 10 is far superior to Rex. Generator Rex was just an attempt by Man of Action to replicate the success of Ben 10 it will always live in the shadows of Ben 10.
Generator Rex gets a lot of love on the Ben 10 fandom. There was even a debate on whether or not Rex is a variant of Ben 10 which I personally don't agree with but some people do.

You should also have the show have even more variety with it's characters and world-building, where you can even have aliens, knights, mages, mutants, time travelers, dimension travelers, and so much more, but have them be together and make sense.
Kuro the artist in his 2017 video, "What RUINED Ben 10?", said it best:
"In the early 2000s, Man of Action was brought down to Cartoon Network to pitch 20 ideas in 20 minutes, the idea that got picked up went into development and shaped itself into what we know today as Ben 10 Classic. The classic series really built the foundation of what could've been one of the most successful animated franchises of all time."
Generator Rex lacks this world building and variety, but with this continuation, it can truly capitalize on its core concepts/elements/components and move beyond its foundation, world building, and more in order to garner the attention that you and many others like you feel it deserves.
would you mind doing a couple more episodes about Generator Rex? as you well know we're starved for content.
If you like Generator Rex I’d recommended checking out the comic it’s “adapting” M. Rex it’s only 2 issues and it’s cool to see the original idea
No I've Never Warched Generator Rex In My Life But The Idea Actually Sounds Cool🤔❤
During the Airing of both shows, I can confirm GRex > Ben 10 UA
I totally didnt know this guy because Ben 10 and how this show is piracy supported because you cant find it anywhere.
While Ben 10 certainly has a spot in my heart, Generator Rex definitely deserves to be remembered.
i didnt skip out on the secret saturdays crossover
But most people didn’t even know it was a crossover as most people who watched the episode didn’t watch Secret Saturdays and didn’t know they had their own show
I lowkey thought they where original characters created for Ben 10 lol
@@ZayTh3God lol 😂
I just finished watching Generator Rex and I wasn't expecting him to become God
He literally did more in a few minutes than Alien X did in the entirety of UAF plus I like Generator Rex more than UAF mainly because I feel like Rex has a more consistent personality
Hot take: I didn't really like the crossover that much. It didn't really feel like Ben did much in the final fight
It was more a Generator Rex episode than a Ben 10 episode so makes sense
i have to admit, on the topic of Generator Rex being better than Ben 10, that it's more CONSISTENTLY good than Ben 10.
Man I loved the crossover but to save a whoooole lot of time I'm just gonna say Ben 10 is a show that still in a way underestimated for its potential but is still a grand show all of them but GENERATOR REX was and still is way more underrated than BEN 1O, they were both ultra culture phenomenon that deserve better especially REX I grew up loving them both and hate how they aren't treated better by their creators
And yes this is the short version Of the short version
Ben and Rex coulda been like Crash and Spyro man
A. I remember it. I actually own all of it
A and C
I watched Gen Rex but the pacing on the first season was over the place.
From the sister series, I prefer Secret Saturdays over Gen Rex
Yessir I answered A😂
Hope you'll have a good day
i remember it i didnt even get to watch it but i know at the time this crossover was fire, prolly coulda started a hole nother universe. it didnt come on tv like dat in my case sucked
bens sasuke is rex😂
I wish Ben 10 and Rex meet Randy Cunningham, Danny phantom and Jake long in a ultimate epic crossover
AAAAAAAAA
a yes i do and c that croosover was soo good
Generator Rex is better than Ben 10 don’t @me
No one forgot generator Rex
Because of the crossover without it people wouldn’t remember anything about it and become a forgotten memory
