      @@Jeff5P Thanks--your six-string has much better action than mine. I have a low enough bridge. Guess I'll try lighter-gauge strings. Any suggestions? Just wondered.

      @@brucetoo3294 My six string plays very easily. I use D'Addario electric strings EXL140 that are described as "heavy bottom, light top". I recently looked at the Gold Tone website and saw that a six string similar to mine is sold with strings that are similar but just a little higher in gauge for the 3rd and 4th strings, if I remember correctly.
